As long as I stay really calm and silent, that is. If I try to speak more than a single sentence, or get up too fast/try to do anyhing, i end up in an ten minute coughing fit.

It's over 22 here in the living room rn. I am not planning on going outside today except for a tiny bit, possibly after sunset, to water the plants at my parent's place

we bought some plants last friday, and then covid happened... so they still needed potting

Mom has everything potted, i just need to water it. And if I feel much better before they come home on Monday, I may also spend a moment getting rid of old flowers

ran out of potting soil, three new plants will have to wait for a few more days :(

we had this lice infestation, and the bastards kept resurfacing, so we went for the scorched earth tactic of dumping ALL used soil from pots and planters... The result being that the planters will need a lot of soil just to fill up

Did one, then ran out :)

That might work. Usually it's also a good idea to use some aggressive cleaning on the pots themselves, like water and ammonia, to clean away and kill any possible eggs.

Filled the bath with steaming hot water and a cleaning solution and left them in there for a couple of days, before that I scrubbed off as much dry dirt as possible

so far so good

The amount of times we had people come to the garden center with complaints about lice, and them never having cleaned a thing....

well, they are hardy buggers

I had this amazing chocolate mint plant that got infested, did the spraying thing and even submerged the plant a couple of days so they'd suffocate... they returned of course

we even took a sapling that looked completely egg free, also submerged it and raised it separately... somehow those bastards still found it :(

so after winter we basically gave up on everything outside and cleansed it all

there's a kale from last year that doesn't seem to be attractive to lice, and that's still completely clean
