6:49 AM
Morning :)

7:00 AM
Morning

MiG
7:43 AM
How are you feeling today?

2 hours later…
9:24 AM
Not quite sure. Breathing is still horrible, I think I lost a bit of my taste (not sure if that's just the stuffed nose or not).
But except for shortly after waking up, i haven't really had any coughing fits
And there?

MiG
Throat stopped aching, still coughing though... Muscle ache is almost gone, eyes still burning a bit (so I'm working from the indoor balcony now which seems to help), and slight headache continues
gf's still coughing heavily, she was really bad last night :(
Had a lot of trouble falling asleep last night, could've been the heat though

10:02 AM
Yeah the heat was bad. I got a bit of rain at about 11 though, after that it was semi-fine. It at least helped me fall asleep fast and I think the high humidity is being nice on my respiratory stuff

MiG
well, you're in luck today... that's a fuckton of rain we're getting :x

Yeah. Ever seen one of those old little tuberculosis houses? That's me right now XD

MiG
Are you rotating your house? :P

That dark bit at the bottom is the couch I'm sitting/lying on XD
@MiG Wish I could! Don't thing the neighbors will agree though XD

MiG
that's a lot of tiles in the backyard :(
that can't be pleasant during the heat

10:10 AM
@MiG yeah well I need a place for laundry, it really isn't a big backyard! There will be pots with flowers later, I'm getting a rain barrel, there's some gravel to the sides for water to drain into the ground instead of the sewers.. and the tiles are surprisingly cool due to their light color.
I'm keeping the front yard for plants, and the back yard is more utility oriented

MiG
you could consider a canopy in summer, that'll stop the tiles from heating up

I will probably just get some sunscreens installed beneath the afdak you can already see.

MiG
put one of those garden 'couches' underneath, hang some lanterns, make it gezellig :)

There isn't much direct sunlight on those tiles during hit days anyways, by 2PM pretty much the entire thing is shade :)

MiG
ah, not too bad then
with that damned lingering headache would finally stop
taking some hot coldrex now, hoping it'll work

10:14 AM
@MiG working on it. For now, plans are to wait until the week of July 11th, that's when the last bit of fence between me and the neighbor will be placed. After that I can get a stratenmaker to come and do the last bits of pavement and gravel, and then I want to clean the entire afdak once more before putting stuff underneath
@MiG fingers crossed.

1 hour later…
MiG
11:43 AM
think the headache might be related to the weather... there's thunder and everything, so I'm guessing air pressure is dropping :(

11:56 AM
Ah, yeah, could be...
There was like 20 trucks driving through the street just now, all honking horns... At least all you have to deal with there is air pressure :P

MiG
I just witnessed a very sad protest, 14 people showed up in heavy rain :x
@Tinkeringbell farmers I assume?

@MiG Not sure. They were all from the same company, so could also just be someone retiring or having a jubilee or something?
Or teambuilding XD

MiG
I guess everyone's driving in file and honking horns these days... Could be a Turkish wedding too :D
Or a local gathering of the National Association of Car Horn Enthusiasts :P

12:28 PM
Hahaha well it's been quiet now. I hope the groceries arrive soon, i want to nap.

MiG
12:41 PM
we managed to coast on supplies so far, ordered in a couple of times
will pop out tomorrow though, don't think anything I have today counts as covid symptoms

The muntdrop is here!!
I ordered groceries. Could get them delivered for free, and it went about as well as last time .. got substitute products I never asked for. I also said I wanted to get the freebies they were offering (know some kids that collect them) yet got nothing. All the while paying a lot more than I usually would for groceries to begin with
This was more a failsafe, on Tuesday I kinda fully expected to be free of symptoms today so I could go get stuff tomorrow. I placed a small order just to be sure I had a time slot. Ended up filling that out to a full week's worth of groceries yesterday
I somehow don't think pasta, rice, and canned vegetables will be healthy for another week XD

MiG
1:06 PM
They stay well for a long time, you can keep them in storage :)
@Tinkeringbell :D

@MiG Yeah, thats mostly why I have them: easy, stay well for a long time, so ideal to have on hand for days when you're not feeling like making a meal from scratch.

MiG
1:28 PM
tbh, there's also delivery... Although that really depends on where you live on how much interesting fare is available

Not much here, especially not if you're ordering for only one. Then you don't meet the minimum order amount a lot of the time.
There's one pizza place, and a Chinese restaurant that do delivery for orders from 15 euros up, the rest is all 25/30 or more.
In other news.. my tooth just broke. It had a crown since just before I turned 18 and that just... got loose?

MiG
2:12 PM
ouch :(

1 hour later…
3:12 PM
Actually it shouldn't, according to the dentist they should've done a root canal before putting the crown on so except from some light annoyance because there's now edges where they're not supposed to be, i should be good until next Friday when I have an appointment XD
I tried a cold drink, there's some slight sensation but not enough to say if it's the broken molar or the one next to it.

MiG
At least you have an appointment and can coast along until that :)

4:03 PM
Fingers crossed.
Btw that's just an appointment to see what needs to be done, and if they can just glue the old crown back on (they won't, there's a bit missing, i think I swallowed that XD). I'm not expecting anything to be fixed on Friday

4 hours later…
7:41 PM
Ooof. Just got the news letter from the local energy corporation. Apparently they didn't take out any long term contracts on electricity so my energy bill will almost quadruple :/

2 hours later…
9:47 PM

Q: How do I tell somebody they've been a sucker?

user121330Apologies for the gratuitous title. I have many friends who have been lied to for years by people they trust. Not only do they believe those lies, but they repeat them to anybody willing to listen. These lies have real implications for my life and the lives of people I love. When I disprove one l...
