@AJ9 If this can be proved I'd imagine the company to be in the right to sue him... I think tracking is a good way to punish reasonably performing employees and generate turnover

and by tracking I mean invasive time tracking. Result tracking is normal activity of management

@AJ9 Well that sucks. In my contract that would already be illegal because of non-compete regardless if i used company resource or not. That would be enough to start a trial and maybe adding testimony to that from employees would be enough.

@Tinkeringbell Hi! Stuck at home, with no-one in sight, same as everyone else, really. In other words, I'm having a great time of it :D especially considering there's a deadly pandemic outside that I'm at risk to. The only problem is the delay in getting food ordered. How're things going with you?

Pretty much same as always, except work from home is 5 days a week now instead of 1/2. Mostly staying inside because mom is scared, so a walk every other day and today she's not home so I went to get fresh baked bread for lunch at the supermarket and got to enjoy some walk/sunshine too...

I'm getting that 'first few nice sunny days of spring' energy that's hard to shake sitting inside :P

We can still go outside though, that's nice :D

I do have a (private) courtyard outside that no-one else uses, so I'm fortunately not quite trapped inside all the time :)

Oh, that sounds nice!

Our backyard allows for great sitting in the sun, but it's a bit small for any form of exercise beside using a jump rope.

Aww, yeah, I'm planning to head out there to do some Tai Chi in a couple of days once it gets a bit warmer :)

We hit over 1k new cases here today. Also 78 more dead, though the article mentioned that this may also include people that died earlier than yesterday but weren't immediately reported.

The number of cases needing hospitalization seems to be evening out though.

The tiny town I live in had a college kid come home from studying abroad for spring break last week. They told him multiple times at each airport that he must go straight home and self isolate for 14 days. The first thing he did after he landed was go to his favorite cafe and then to the bar to get drinks with his friends. Then he went grocery shopping before FINALLY going home. He got his test results back two days later. Positive. We have 22 confirmed cases as of yesterday.

One of the most upsetting parts of this (for me at least) is having my health put in the hands of others who aren't…

We went walking yesterday evening (brother and I). Loads of people that do their best to keep their distance, go walk on the side of the path so that you pass with as much distance as possible...

Then we came out of the forest again, and there were two girls just chatting in front of the fence. So we couldn't go out of the fence. Scraped my throat, they looked didn't do anything. I had to ask them to move so we could exit with enough distance... They did so, weren't happy...

But then we were walking along the path, these girls apparently went jogging and just narrowly missed us :/

Later we had to walk on the road instead of footpath because they were blocking it, chatting...

They're just so irresponsible.

Oh yeesh. I mean even if you think it's all silly, does it really cost you that much to appease everyone else by giving a little more space? :/

Apparently. Had a mom/dad and kid in wheelchair walking towards me on the same path this afternoon... not even the common sense to go walk single file when passing :/

At least I convinced my brother yesterday that even though he's doing great by not going to 30 person parties anymore, visiting 3 different people several times a week also makes 30 people so isn't better... :/

My roommate insist on going outside home. At first he agreed with me on not going outside, and going outside only once a week to buy the basic things. But he is the kind of person that cannot stay at home for too long and hence got desperate and afterwards decided finally to go outside 5 days a ...

@Tinkeringbell I think it was more like 'ordered the parts, then DIYed it together' over 'he started by locating [specific tree] in [obscure wood]'. He likely did all the wiring, sticking everything together etc. by himself

:D They're great lights, although the ones in the rest of the flat are more 'standard boring LEDs in the ceiling'

I swear a long hot shower helps with literally everything for me. Headache? Shower. Flu? Shower, any illness? Shower makes it at least better

@Magisch If the hot shower helped... your headaches might be because of muscle tension? In that case... (and because you said you woke up with it)... consider if you need a new mattress/pillow :)

All hot showers do for me is give me eczema outbreaks :/

but a hot shower makes it bearable at least

my room is very dark and it's noticeable on my webcam back at home, not sure if i should improve the lightning system or having a dedicated light when needed xD

Talking about work... it sent me this kinda weird little booklet about 'deep democracy' (it's basically just an ad for some kind of management training, don't get me wrong)... but it's almost interesting!

"deep democracy" sounds more like a conspiracy theory to me, haha
