Q: How to convince parents of trustworthiness?

stacRight now, I'm a 15 year old student who lives in Australia. In the past I've had a history of not managing my time well, often slacking when I was supposed to study or finish my homework on my laptop. As a result my parents had been particularly watchful whether they let me on my laptop and are ...

Q: How to decline giving personal information until you recieved some in return

XerocopyI need to move and find a new home to rent. The city I live in is having a housing crisis (as declared by the mayor). I think many landlords take advantage of this. I know that they’re just trying to protect themselves from being ripped off but a lot of landlords are overly pessimistic and skepti...

Q: Making up to a old friend I've abused?

Cole MundusI met a female (same age) online in 2014 and she would talk with me until she left me in November of 2014. I wanted to reunite with her so I tracked her down but she has never replied since. I have done many toxic things against her in hopes she would confront me one day, it never works. I have o...

@apaul On what basis?

user15026
@apaul "What is my recourse" LEAVE HER THE FUCK ALONE

4:18 AM
@NVZ Looks to be both a "what should I do?" And a "needs professional help"

user15026
Sorry, stuff like that just makes me so angry

It's also potentially a troll post, seems likely that it may have been posted to stir outrage. Seems out of character for a stalker to out themselves in public to ask for advice... But then again weird people do weird things.

user15026
Yeah, I am hoping for trolling

I don't see any interpersonal skills help in the question: "What is my recourse at this point?" We can't pick which road the OP should travel, only help them navigate that road once they have picked it. Though in this case, it looks like there are no bridges left to build a road on.

Agreed

So, unless edit's change things, it's off topic.
Deity knows it's going to get opinion-based answers anyway it's edited.

For F's sake who upvoted that?

Seems that two did. +2/-4

Possibly they interpreted "player" in the text as a positive thing. . .

I interpreted it as an online gaming player?

Me too, to be honest.

Seems to be a bit of an issue with the site though. Someone seems to upvote nearly every dumpster fire.

4:53 AM
Me too. Suggesting that OP knows how she feels, having those texts in hand, and still wants to continue the stalking.
We can't control their voting. only keep the fuel away from the fire.

Nothing new under the sun, I'm sure the CMs already do that.

@HDE226868 wildly off topic post on the front page...
Glad to know someone's minding the store ;)

user15026
@NVZ body tired, brain awake. But I have a cozy bed blanket nest and a purring cat and a book. So that's pretty good.

Q: How to use email to request a phone call?

aparente001At my son's school, parents are encouraged to contact teachers and administrators via email. What if I would prefer to speak to the teacher by phone? When I call the school to leave a phone message, I am directed to request a phone call by sending an email. What is a good way to phrase this?
