Not an answer is used for stuff that was posted as an answer, but does not attempt to answer the question. It should possibly be an edit, a comment, another question, or deleted altogether, in the case of IPS that goes mostly for answers that don't explain why or how too. The main thing is that these posts can be edited to add why or how, and thus don't meet the VLQ criteria of being unlikely to be salvageable through editing, and might need to be removed.

So, I should use NAA instead of VLQ when an edit can save the post then?

I think I shared pictures in here sometimes, from the days I was still studying archaeology and was building a replica of a prehistoric house with prehistoric tools :P We were promised reasonable work days and good food, to offset the fact that we'd be sleeping in the wild for a week with no showers and only portapotties.

Turned out the 'good food' wasn't good. It was vegetarian because meat was to expensive, but it was so bad that even the vegetarian lost weight due to there not being anything to replace the meat. One of the dishes was tomato water (soup) with a lot of rice and beans to g…
