@bluefeet Since no mods appear to be around, can you take a look at these users trashing the site with nonsensical Q&A? All newest questions are theirs: travel.stackexchange.com/questions
what is with all the **** answers the last couple of days? Surely it's not worth their while to make 'semi-fake accounts' just to spam in like 3 weeks or so...

China Travel Service (HK) Ltd has visa issuing offices at the airport in Hong Kong and are the fast, convenient way to get a visa to the China mainland. It is a booth named China travel to the left as you come out of the baggage claim area. It is in the A area as there is also one in the B area b...

this one is almost useful
someone voted to close my Iraninan question as 'unclear'. Weird.
Recently on a bus trip from Rasht, Iran, to Tehran, Iran, the driver's assistant came down the bus aisle, ordering all the curtains closed on one side, and for a few minutes we were actually forbidden from looking out the windows on that side!
I can only assume he didn't want a hassle with milit...
As @Emrakul pointed out, spam should be handled. Our crack team of devs with funny hats has tackled the situation and found a probable solution which is deploying now.
I destroyed several dozen accounts today, and may have had some false positives (they seemed to act like a ring, so I took looks at low-rep accounts with an answer). If someone comes complaining that they were deleted and blocked, feel free to either find me and poke me, or just apologize on my behalf.
As I said a few minutes ago, "the God will know His own"
This remark by an SE dev looks relevant:

they keep your passport for 1 month before making a decision, can't believe is such a long time. You can get a much more focused answer to your question if you include the 'legal' reasons for your refusal.
@MarkMayo apparently those were humans. Possibly associated with said spam ring, but not automated. They were removed manually. Poke me if you find more.
I think you're one of those who substitute Stack Overflow for Stack Exchange just because people are far more likely to recognize the former name. Tsk, tsk.
> Dear Spammers, It’s bedtime here, so how about we call it a night? Same time, same place tomorrow? @#$^ off, Nick -- Nick Craver at 7:53 PM - 1 Sep 2015 via Twitter
Maybe it's the same one, after eating lunch or taking a nap.
> In the past 2 hours, 60,039 of the 66,075 attempted posts to Stack Exchange came from IE 6. Yay for Windows XP botnets! -- Nick Craver at 7:15 PM - 1 Sep 2015 via Twitter
For scale: Travel.SE has 13,356 questions in total.
@MarkMayo Yeah. But you hit the right buttons. That's the difference between success and failure. :D
So you're in favour of keeping the current flag?
Weird I assumed that all kiwis would've been thrilled to remove all traces of the Union Jack from their flag. Or at least that's what our media makes us believe.

@AnkurBanerjee That stray one probably isn't connected to the rest; it's not representative anyway. There were two kinds of posts: (1) in Chinese, selling fake diplomas of universities in English-speaking countries; (2) marginally on-topic but inane questions and answers coming at a rapid rate. The latter turned out to be also a part of a botnet attack.

I suppose there should be some way to look up recently deleted posts in mod tools.
I am an Indian national working in Kuwait with residency here . I wanted to take my family on a euro trip this may . The family included my wife and daughter (who live with me) and my parents-in-law who live in India.
We made an itinerary with 3 countries , first port of entry France , however m...
Schengen refusal formulae can be difficult to understand sometimes.
Sometimes an applicant receives a refusal with:
Justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not reliable.
often accompanied by:
Your intention to leave the territory of the Member States...
I read everything this morning. It looked well orchestrated. But the mods here are a force to be reckoned with. And the SmokeDetector is simply awesome.
@JoErNanO I wrote that I could help monitor between about 11PM to about 2AM on a temporary basis. I don't think another mod would help without considering where the time zone gaps are.
I have a multiple entry visitors visa for five years. I went to USA last year and lived there for one year with my husband (6 months entry and other 6 months of extension).
I left USA legally. Now my family wants me to go back and live with my stupid in-laws and husband in USA. I don't want to g...
5 stars hotels do much more hidden fees, and no one complains.. a cheap hostel hides $2 then people argue.. exactly how humans buy vegetable from a big chain and pay that big amount, but they argue with a poor guy selling the same on the street with already a cheaper price..
@NeanDerThal I'm personally pissed off as well at hidden charges, it's not about being cheap. If you want me to pay you $50 don't advertise your services as $40 and slap me with a $10 'service fee'
airlines are the worst at this. "FLY TO SINGAPORE FROM $199". Well, show me the day when it's "$199" and I'll buy
so, since the norm is hidden fees, he should be glad it is only @2.. not some shitty 1000 Dirhams or so in dubai.. which happened to me in 5 days stay some years ago..
