Blue: Liberace (2)
Hmmm. I don't know that one off the top of my head. (The clue or the reference.)

TPP, if it's not your turn, be quiet
sorry
It's a good song though
Not required :P
Anyways... we wanted to play Night
21:05
I feel like we shouldn't be considering NIGHT anymore because we got a (2) clue.
We need three words
Nope, only two.
nvm, old board
TPP got FRANCE for us.
I feel like PIANO is one of the words.
gut guess, ghost? Also considered Piano
21:07
Sounds just like the sort of fancy name people would devise for fancy pianists.
or fancy ghosts
lol
What's the worst that could happen? Hit the assassin? :P
@El'endiaStarman by definition, yes
go for it
21:09
Well. Either we lose the game by guessing the assassin or lose it by Red getting their last two words next turn.
PIANO
PIANO is Blue
GHOST is Blue
wooooaaaahhhh
heyyyy
Nicely done!
21:10
....
I think I'm done. As much as I love this game, I've been playing for about 4 hours now
!finalboard
John with the clincher!
21:10
Mith must be furious at TPP :P

BUTTON, SOCK, STAFF, STATE, SQUARE, BUFFALO, LONDON, PIE.

Assassin: EAGLE.

...maybe "New York" would be an option? STATE, BUFFALO, SQUARE. Definitely hit AMERICA, but it's yellow.

Maybe "city" - LONDON, BUFFALO, SQUARE, STATE?

...well. BUFFALO donated.

Remaining words: BUTTON, SOCK, STAFF, STATE, SQUARE, LONDON, PIE.

Eh, even with BUFFALO gone, I'll still try "city" for a three. Why not.

LONDON down.

"France or America might work" - Those are countries, not cities.

...nobody remembers that SQUARE was clued with "city" in the *very last game*.
@JohnDvorak slightly annoyed

assassin: eagle
blue: robin (sigh), needle, buck, apple, hook, France, ghost, piano, note

needle + hook = crochet or something? may risk button/r, sock/r
piano + note = music or something? may risk staff/r
buck + note = dollar bill, risks america/y
buck + note = bill, barely risks state/r (statement) but I think that's okay
ghost + France = ?
apple + note = teacher, risks staff/r

trying: bill (2)
... and he got Buffalo/r, which I totally shoulda seen, wow. <hangs head in shame>

Red tries city (3) for London, square, state. They get all three.
> play the game of "Spot the American"?
What do you mean, someone said something super stereotypical? :P
@Mithical I wasn't helping, I was quoting a song
Sorry
That was helping. By mentioning Billy Joel, you almost directly gave away PIANO.
21:12
I didn't think of that
I just like that song
@Mithical Didn't help me, to be honest.
But yes, not the best move on TPP's part.
HTM
HTM
@DJMcMayhem Yeah, that's the closest I could find to "Liberace" as well
Not a dictionary word
I'm from Long Island; you have to be a Billy Joel fan by law here
21:13
No idea why I was associating Liberace with ghost, but I'm glad it worked
gg
@msh210 because he's dead, maybe?
@ThePuzzlingPlatypus no, I don't think so
People think his old mansion is haunted by his ghost
and anyway, he's not. Liberace lives on!
@ThePuzzlingPlatypus oh maybe that's why
HTM
HTM
GHOST + PIANO = "Haunted" maybe?
21:14
anyway o\, it's been a few hours
@HTM Wait, what do you mean "that's the closest thing"? It's exactly the same
@HTM risks night
Ghost + piano = "Super Mario 64 nightmare fuel"
HTM
HTM
@DJMcMayhem Because I couldn't read and thought the clue said "Liberance"
HTM when did you get here?
21:15
Anyway @ThePuzzlingPlatypus why did you go for FRANCE over STAFF???
Ah. I didn't have to search to know who Liberace is :P
Because of everything I said about France and bakeries
Maybe BAKER would've gotten staff instead
IT was 50/50 on my part
But I also play boogie woogie piano, so...
@Mithical Do you get why I played FRANCE? France has bread and pastries
sorry @Mithical
I would have guessed staff
HTM
HTM
21:16
PIE + STAFF = "Whole Foods" or some other supermarket chain
Might've made STAFF easier to get
Whatever. Doesn't matter at this point. I just had no idea why that would be a connection that would stand out to you.
pie + france would refer to a specific pastry
@HTM APPLE would've been gotten
Because I have a sweet tooth @Mithical
and I know a few things about world foods
HTM
HTM
@Mithical That was after APPLE was revealed
21:17
Ah, right
HTM
HTM
In fact I think you could've went for 3 using "Circular," although STAFF would be kind of a stretch
Cylindrical
HTM
HTM
Anyway, I'm up for a game if anyone's still available
O/
I think i'm done for now
o\
21:18
o/
@El'endiaStarman what's that, again?
./
can guess but can't solo
ah
looks like /. , only backward
I tend to be invested in games that I participate in so I don't do much of other things like the coding I want to do at the moment.

@Mithical Starred this one and the original

@msh210 GAmen!
My sleep schedule has been really wonky the past week, been going to bed at 4-5 in the morning and waking up around this time
So I'm now missing all these wonderful games that occur hours before :(
As someone whose natural circadian cycle includes sleeping from 3-4am to 11am-12pm, sleeping until 4pm sounds excessive. Unless you're on the USA west coast.

@El'endiaStarman Yep, livin' it up in Cali
Oh that's right, you're the Californian.
I hate sleeping past 9:30AM, it feels like I've just wasted too much of the day. I also hate getting up before 8:15AM, though.
I've heard of sleep, but what's a schedule?
...and I tend to head to sleep at some point between 11:30PM and 3:30AM...
HTM
HTM
Might be because I've got finals to study for, so I'm stressing myself out too much
21:35
no, scratch that, I'm 0/

HTM
O/
Still need another SM
@JohnDvorak @El'endiaStarman status?
@El'endiaStarman mine rotates an hour a day (no, just kidding, that's a HPMOR reference)
@HTM I changed my o to a 0
But I'd prefer if someone else could O
22:07
ok, good ameN, for real this time
\o
23:04
i'm around if anyone is
@JohnDvorak @Mithical @HTM ?
HTM
HTM
