Q: Book about two kids sucked into a video game who fight evil radishes

JohnTrying to recall a book I frequently read as a child. The plot revolves around two kids getting sucked into a video game, and the major thing that’s sticking out to me is that they fought evil radishes. The artwork was 8-bit style.

Q: Trying to find this animated TV show (might be on Cartoon Network?)

desparate at this point Hello Internet, So I'm looking for this animated TV show and I cannot for the life of me remember the name. It's driving me insane. The show basically goes: These highschoolers meet these two lizard aliens and befriend them. They get these magic/science/freaky-ass balls that give them each suit...

Q: How close is Amazon's 'The Rings of Power' to anything that existed in prior Tolkien works?

SDHI was interested in watching 'The Rings of Power' as I enjoy most of what has been produced on Tolkien's works (minus 'The Hobbit'). I am hearing some horrible reviews however that make me question if this is really related to anything Tolkien produced. I have not read the Silmarillion but I woul...

Q: Trying to find an animated kids fantasy movie from the early 2000s or 90s involving magic crystals

DerpyI’ve been trying to find this movie for years The gist of it is that a female protagonist is trying to locate crystals. I believe it was in order to save her city or kingdom from being destroyed. Finding the crystals was a race between the protagonist (who I believe may have been a princess) befo...

Q: Trying to find this cyborg movie I watched sometime in early 2010s

doganI think the movie was released around that time (early 2010s, maybe late 2000s, I know it was at least before 2013) but I’m not entirely sure. Basically all I remember is there was this boy and girl, and this cyborg was protecting them but it was actually an evil cyborg that was rehabilitated or ...

Q: Tryin to find this cartoon show in cafeteria where school students battle in flat screen with monsters or other students

DeltartisttI think it was on a Nickelodeon variant channel or Disney (/maybe XD). Here's a BIG CLUE I remember, they made toys for the show that uses Barcodes to collect monsters to battle with each other!

Q: Sci-Fi movie where half of the people are kept in stasis

ZeitwaiseThis must be real easy if someone knows the title, but google searching for the plot is pretty much useless - I tried it for an hour and still nothing. It’s about a dystopian world with too many people and not enough resources. Therefore a elite group decided to put half of the working population...

@Marvin Does this remind anyone of the Phineas and Ferb episode "Gaming the System"? The kids are sucked into a video game (that's a very common trope) and the enemies include fruits. A different episode has rutabagas, though they're not evil, it's the chinchillas that want to eat the rutabagas that are evil, and the kids fight on the rutabagas' side. The rest of the details don't match though: no 8-bit style, and it's not a book but a video game.
But honestly the question gives so little information that it may be hard to find unless OP qualifies.

Keen Dreams has a general theme of fighting evil vegetables, and a level named "Horseradish Hill", but no actual radish enemies.

I thought about Philip José Farmer's Dayworld, I suppose it's not the only story to usevthis idea.

Q: Christian priest discovers aliens are God's new chosen

PotatoCrispI probably read this short story or novella in the 70s-80s but I think it could have been pretty old then. The Earth has been invaded by aliens. The aliens are pretty horrible people, violent, blood-thirsty, tearing people limb from limb and eating them and that sort of thing. The MC is a sincere...

Q: Batman comic where Hugo Strange trains new Robins

AslamI have a slight hunch this is an Elseworlds story. From what I can vaguely remember, Hugo Strange is Batman. He hires boys and girls to be Robins. I think this a slightly older comic maybe around 2010s or before (not sure). Sorry for the lack of details, it has been a long time since I read it.

Q: Two questions about Looper's mysterious villain

BrendanTwo questions about about Cid. If he knows that old Joe is the one who kills his mom, why send him back to set things in motion? Why use loopers at all in this case? Q: Dark-skinned elves in Tolkien's works?

BlueriverAre there any indications in any of Tolkien's works (stories, letters, notes, anything) that suggest there can be elves of dark skin? And the opposite: Is there any indication that there CANNOT be dark-skinned elves? I'm interested in the race called Elves, the first born created by Illuvatar. Bu...

Q: Timeframe of JSA in Stargirl

VBartilucciThe CW's Stargirl series features the JSA (Justice Society of America) in a major role. It's made clear that the team had fought crime for quite some time, though they've been sketchy on exactly how long. Newspaper clipping about past battles have no dates, for examples. There's a couple of men...

Q: I'm trying to find the name of a movie. Please help!

NatIt was a foreign film about a dystopian future where at age 30 people can start getting "regenerations". You can literally go into a place like a dairy and get regenerated it's that easy. And so because of this people just keep on living and at this time there's lots of people that are over a hun...
