@b_jonas oh man, I can imagine how one's native language not including gender pronouns can get him/her shitstorms when s/he goes on the Internet speaking a language that have them...

SQB
@Jenayah French is more difficult than English, in that respect. Although not as bad as German.

2:15 PM
@SQB Oh yeah. Grammar agreements are already a stretch for a lot of French native speakers, I can imagine how bad it can be for foreigners. We don't have declensions though. Declensions are hell.

Q: What is the chronological order of the Demigods and Magicians books?

MyCodeSucksRick Riordan has written several series of books based on Greek/Roman/Norse Demigods and Egyptian Magicians. If someone wanted to read them in chronological order, how would that flow?

Should that one be tagged or ?
Just trying to get more info on how this tagging works :)

> Use this tag when asking for the in-universe chronological order of published works in the same sci-fi/fantasy series or fictional universe. To ask for suggestions on the best reading or viewing order, which may not be the same as the chronological order, use the [suggested-order] tag instead.
> For questions asking about the suggested reading or watching order for a series or franchise. If asking specifically for the chronological ordering, use the [chronological-order] tag instead.
First: [chronological-order], second is [suggested-order]
I'll let you decide :)
Note above quotes are from the tag's wiki excerpts

Yeah I know that but I'm not sure what OP is looking for exactly, so I put that in a comment. Easier, here, done.

My opinion it should have [chronological-order]
But letting the OP decide isn't always a bad move :)
Oh and I didn't mean to come off as condescending or a d*ck (if I did) but you know teach man to fish and all that haha

Oh don't worry, I didn't read it that way :)

Jolly good then

2:42 PM
I went to see the tag wikis, but since I have absolutely no idea what the books are about, I was wondering if the chronological order OP was referring to was the one of publishing, or the one of the mythology (Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Norse, I'd think)

Well I don't know what they're about either haha Though I would imagine they are asking for the in universe chronological order
Order of publishing is usually referred to as publishing order

indeed

Q: Series with main focus being the time at 11:11:11

MirzodaI'm trying to remember a series/movie that I once watched when I was younger (several years ago (2000-2010 (I know, big span, but I can't pinpoint my memories better))). I never remembered the name of it as I only saw some small parts of it (been quite some years and my memory isn't built for lon...

Wait, is he trying to make fun of our most famous question?

3:00 PM
I doubt it but it is possible

There's a movie which is precisely called 11:11:11 (it was even released on 11/11/11 because why the f*ck not, right?) but it doesn't fit - would have been funny, though.

@Jenayah um. IMDB says that movie is called 11-11-11
to me at least

ah yeah, indeed
dashes and columns don't mean the same time stamp in English, right
my bad :)

Well 11-11-11 would imply date to me whereas 11:11:11 would imply time

@SQB++ for editing an image transcription to someone else's already good answer scifi.stackexchange.com/revisions/81897/4
I can't vote on edits, but thank you for doing that menial work that never gets noticed.

3:11 PM
@TheLethalCarrot yeah, realized that afterwards :) got lost in translation!

Gotcha
@b_jonas Now I want to find an example where I've done that, Carrots need love to ;P
But seriously, nice one SQB

@TheLethalCarrot Llots of people do nice edits, but I rarely notice them, because I miss the edit history. The SE interface tries to be somewhat nice about this, but still.
The interface or badges can't judge about which edits are actually useful.

Oh I know, I was just being daft haha
@Jenayah Ironically the actually answer is 11-11-11 not 11:11:11

SQB
@b_jonas thanks for noticing.

@TheLethalCarrot great, my mind is blown now.

3:22 PM
@TheLethalCarrot Hehe.

1 hour later…
4:45 PM
@Jenayah it's a dupe anyway

Curses, Dark Magic and all, of course this question had to reach this milestone:

I've also answered that question over at Literature.SE:

A: In what order should Rick Riordan's mythological series be read to make the most sense, and what is the chronological order?

MithrandirWarning: This is long. A reminder: Percy Jackson and the Olympians deals with the Greek gods. The Heroes of Olympus deals with the Greek and Roman gods. The Kane Chronicles deals with the Egyptian gods. Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard deals with the Norse gods. The Trials of Apollo has Gr...

Although I need to update it.

@Mithrandir Honestly, I was more asking to get live-info on the tags rather than for the sake of the question itself, since as I said I didn't read any of those works :)

i really wish when you purchased a physical book you got a copy of the ebook (for free or for a very small extra charge).
that or i need a harry-potter-esque pouch that's bigger on the inside than the outside...

@heather I actually had the same thought about music a while ago. I mean, if I bought the CD, maybe I could get an access to the mp4 file, for when I don't have the CD or YouTube around? There are probably a lot of cons to that, the most obivous I can think of being the easier broadcasting of illegal copies, which is already an issue with all the dematerialized stuff nowadays
