You edited a question that I had just edited, taking my name off one of them. So my count of 6/15 went down to 5/15.

They were AC before becoming DC? Shocking. — Adeptus May 6 '16 at 1:35
The real question is, who's wearing the socks in the relationship?

12:20 PM
@Edlothiad Oh, the English version of that idiom goes with socks? Ahah, that's pure :)

@Jenayah This is what I was talking about your pure innocence haha! No it's about trousers (UK)/pants (US). It was just an inside joke for another user on here ;P

@Edlothiad Yeah, French one uses the "who wears the knickers" too, ahah. Guess when it comes to joking about the groin region, that somehow never loose his way in translations! :)

Oh no English isn't knickers, it's trousers. Like jeans or chinos
Unless I'm misunderstanding. Maybe we should be speaking fFrench.

Oh you actually meant pants as the cloth that cover the whole legs! In French it's culotte which meant the same in the past, but nowadays refers to knickers
I'll watch that tonight I guess. Which reminds me, you posted a music video somewhere up here

Oh no, it was just an incredibly long repeat of the Pinocchio song redesigned for the Age of Ultron trailer.

12:33 PM
Yeah, I realized that and went back to what I was listening beforehand

Ahaha!
It was to mark my release from my strings
And because it sounds AWESOME

Oh okay, I thought you were keeping up on the musical interlude

There is nothing worse than a Heisenbug...
I have two 100% identical files, one works one crashes...

Greek question mark prank?

Some 'friend'.

unfriend

At least that's an actual compiler error.
The thing where you have hundreds of whitespace with a ; behind an if(...) line is worse.

Please, @Doorknob NEVER ever again post that page when I am around. I had an user inserting a zero-width space in a config file some time ago..... it wasn't fun.
Imagine this: you have a list of app setting keys, stored in a DB table. The app keeps throwing an error "Setting key not found" but apparently the key is there...

Ahah!

Then you start doing manual queries on the DB, and you notice that queries with "CONTAINS 'param_key'" works, but those with "START WITH" or "EQUALS" don't
and... in horror you find that someone has put a zero-width-space in front of the param key.
Five years later, we still have an empty wooden plaque and a taxidermy kit stored in our office.... You may never know. Some day we may discover the identity of this nice guy.
(yep, back then someone proposed to turn this friendly joker in a fine trophy to hang on the wall)

@Jenayah while this would be funny, unfortunately no.
There both only touched by me, I went through the exact same steps to produce them, appended the exact same scripts, and one has been nice and friendly and completed successfully and the other ends in a ball of fire.

Killing people is bad. You should get someone to recommend them to your biggest competitor instead.
@Edlothiad ahah I know you're talking about files but phrased like that, you could be talking about your twin children as well :D

Now I've never actually produced a child (touch wood) but I don't think one needs to append scripts to make them ;-P

1:15 PM
C'mon, trying to get your kids to follow a simple rule sounds like script appending to me. But we may have to ask the good people of Parenting.SE!

@Edlothiad Exam scripts.

Fair enough
Guess I have twins now... At least one of them is nice and completes successfully haha!

@Edlothiad Keep that one and use the other one for crash-tests.

Quick question @Randal'Thor. Would anyone mind if I followed @b_jonas suggestion and moved my MLP related chat room (currently on the main meta site server) and recreated it as a room on this site?

3 hours later…
6:18 PM
@Derpy Sure, why not. SFF has had plenty of side rooms for specific franchises, and even for entirely non-SFF-related topics.
You won't be able to literally move the room though, without CM assistance: you'd need to close the old one and create a brand new one here with no history.

1 hour later…
7:27 PM
@Randal'Thor Yes, he'll just create a new room here, close the old room (he's room owner), and add notices. Moving is impossible.
The advantage is that much more potentiel users have the privilage to use main chat than the meta chat.

@Edlothiad i really meant no offense in my phrasing, apologies. by depth i meant sort of what Rand al'Thor was saying - knowledge beyond what might be found on google.
That doesn't make the q/a any less interesting, or the answerers any less knowledgeable - it's just different.

Q: Should we have a franco-belgian-comics tag?

JenayahContext This morning, we discussed in chat how the current comics tag seemed to be mainly aimed at American comics (read Marvel/DC, even if it's obviously not limited to that). The discussion starts here and goes on for quite a bit of time. The thing is, the current tag, or at least its descrip...
