@amflare I though the first book was atrocious, but it got better in the next two books. Still not saying they were good books though

Q: What French movie featured a character repeatedly sent back to a fantasy land?

VillageI watched a French movie that must have been made within the last 5 years. The main character was frequently pulled back and forth between the present time, to a medieval land. The main character restored paintings. He lost his job when his studio flooded. When time traveling, he was sucked thr...

Q: Is Sarah G.Lato actually the creator?

SPArchaeologistLately, I have been thinking about the role of the character Sarah G.Lato in the Amazing World of Gumball show and I have begun wondering what her actual intended power is. Let me explain what I mean. Sarah seems to linger on constant 4th wall breaking, but in a way she seems also to imply she h...

Q: Downvoting answers by new users

C.KocaFirstly, this is very relevant. This is also related. Due to the launch of the new Star Wars movie we have an influx of newcomers. There are many posts from 1 rep users offering answers of varying quality. Some of them has no idea what scifi SE is about. For example, answering to why-did-luke-c...

If ye really want to see how the "focus on content and not users" will work, and avoid those serial downvotes issues, I still ask Stack to do the big step and hide any reference to the post owner and the post owner rep score.

Q: Spanish-language comic book story about time-traveling Jewish kids becoming the legendary Adam and Eve?

LorendiacAround 1992 or 1993, I borrowed a comic-book-format magazine from someone. It was a pretty thick publication (well over 100 pages, I'm thinking; maybe over 200?) and was printed in Spanish. I think I noticed this particular magazine had been published in Argentina, but I won't swear to that. The...

Q: For the purposes of being eligible for a Nebula award, what counts as "science fiction, fantasy, or a related fiction genre"?

I haven't seen the last Jedi yet but I'm kinda annoyed from what I have read that nobody seems to be trained anymore.
Like Luke couldn't use the force until he was trained but now everyone is just using it willy nilly.

@Hyperdriveenthusiast when did anyone use the force in the prequels before being trained?
Anakin Skywalker flew both a plane and pod racer but I don't recall him using the force at anytime. Being gifted as a pilot isn't using the force, but I guess you could call it that maybe.
The only time I recall this happening is when Anakin read of the elements on the screen for Mace Windu when being evaluated to be an apprentice.
