Can we undelete this? The original post contained lots of extraneous detail, but did answer the question and was not offensive. After my edits (made before deletion), there’s really not any reason for it to be deleted. If the poster chooses to revert it, it can of course be deleted again.

@Adamant It kind of makes the mistake of giving the impression that NOI is actually a Muslim sect
But that being said, I agree it shouldn't have been deleted. It just answers the question and then goes on about historical context
However skewed it might be

Q: Why is the general discussion chat room not the first in the list of site chat rooms?

BMWurmWhen i go to chat via the SE logo i arrive at the chat room list of the particular stack i am on, the SFF chat room list in our case. So far so good, but how is the order in which they are displayed derived? For me it looks like this: Does the placement change with latest addition? Because th...

@Aegon What else would it be? Maybe it's not terribly nice or mainstream, but its members seem to view themselves as Muslims.

@Adamant Well there are a lot of theological differences between the two which leads to them not being viewed as Muslims by Sunni and Shia schools

Sure. But then, the history of Europe is largely Christians not thinking other Christians are Christian.

3:39 PM
@Adamant I am not very knowledgeable about Christian theologies so I wouldn't comment on that. I'd just note that if the differences are about varying interpretations of some scriptures, sure you can consider different schools as sects of the same faith but when the two ideologies are fundamentally different to each other, that's where I draw a line. Malcolm X himself converted to Islam later.
NOI is viewed not as a sect but rather a political movement among Muslim circles which sought a separate identity from White Christians of USA. The Afro-Asiatic Islam appealed to their fancies and they picked that. If I took a label saying Apple and placed it on an orange, that wouldn't make it an apple. But Of course, I will concede that you may call this my personal opinion....and that of the rest of the Muslims

@Randal'Thor I saw this on msn this morning and thought of you!
You have probably already seen these, but just in case :)

Does SQB come here anymore?

9:24 PM
I was wondering if his brother was still alive after the Vikings game yesterday ;)

@steelersquirrel I died yesterday around 4:00 and was reborn as the person you see to the left

@Skooba SKOOB!!!! I know, buddy. I am still dying :'(

@steelersquirrel where do put the blame, if you had to pick one thing?

@steelersquirrel occasionally

@Skooba The horrible play calling, the stupid on side kick, the defense...there's so many things.
Haley should be frigging fired and Tomlin should be next.

9:30 PM
@steelersquirrel I say the defense is general.... they were only able to score 10 points on Buffalo
Haley for sure. Tomlin I still like.
There is point on one of those 4th downs where Tomlin is clearly saying "Run the ball" and then Haley calls a pass

Yeah....but it was Timlins decision to do that frigging on side kick with more than 2 minutes left.

@steelersquirrel yeah. it was dumb but it was out hand by that point anyway. sure the score might have told you it was possible but it wasn't

I just don't understand what the defense was doing! They were so worried about blitzing the QB, when they should have just been containing him! He's not a pocket QB! He's a runner! ARGH!

in his press conference he said he had no confidence in the defense to make a stop so he just went for it

The coaching staff need to take some responsibility for that loss. The defensive coordinator, Haley and Tomlin were horrible yesterday.

9:35 PM
@steelersquirrel Haley tries to outsmart everyone... 4and 1... better go with the sweep
Rosie Nix looked pissed when after Jax took the time out on 4th and 1 he was pulled ou
and wtf happened to the sneak
Ben "I want to sneak the ball more" Rothlisberger

@Skooba I know! Argh!

@steelersquirrel im pissed at almost everyone but AB
now we get to spend the next 8 months bitching about all the drama they had and how they couldn't get over the hump despite going 13-3

I know. Ben will retire with a chip on his shoulder. Him and Haley hate eachother. They were so worried about NE that they didn't even show up to play Jax

@steelersquirrel He's got 1 more year. If he stays healthy and doesn't get noodle arm like Manning.
cause I am calling Bell's bluff
he wont' retire if he gets tagged

Yeah...We'll see. I just don't know. I'm with you. I'm just pissed at all of them right now ;)
I just need to hope for Jax to beat NE.

9:50 PM
i hope the stadium collapses
but no one seriously hurt

Hehehe!

but neither of the teams can play in the superowl
Im rooting for the Eagles at this point

I would rather see Jax than NE!
Okay. Gotta go :)

@steelersquirrel Because he can't solve them?

10:15 PM
I've seen the first season of Star Trek Discovery and thought it was pretty poor (before I read online reviews saying the same). I was wondering why - I think it is because it has absolutely no likeable characters. Or none I like at least. All the other series had at least two or more really good characters - STD has none. Or am I wrong?

10:35 PM
@steelersquirrel Thanks! Let me go through these and see ...
#1 is the classic 'Einstein's puzzle'. I've seen and solved not only that but also many variants of it.
#2 is algebra with symbols ... and wow, I've never seen such an easy one before. You don't even have to solve them as simultaneous equations - you can just do them in order!
#3 looks like an interesting physical problem ... no, wait, it's a trick question :-/
#4 - meh. I've never quite seen the point of this type of puzzle, but each to their own.
#5 is kinda fun :-D I solved a similar thing before and quite enjoyed it.
#6 - well, you could be either daughter or son-in-law, unless the speaker's gender is specified in the puzzle. Meh.
#7 - silence? Yep. It's a classic simple riddle.

I would prefer if #1 said which way up the street you counted.

#8 - ha, that one's kind of fun :-D Apparently it's a common puzzle, but I hadn't seen it before this Puzzling SE post.
(ooh, Joe Z. hit 20k, nice)
#9 is a nice matchstick puzzle. I'm not usually very good at these, but that one was simple enough that even I could probably have done it (if I hadn't seen the answer first) :-P
#10 I actually didn't get, but argh, yeah, in retrospect it's obvious and a very old puzzling trick.
Thanks for the fun, Steeler! :-)
