@stormy it’s going to be the basics of ballroom dancing, plus a bit of etiquette (which should imho just repeat what we teach at home), and a ball at the end. If they want to continue, we will definetively support it.
@Stephie Have you ever competed in ballroom dancing? Swing? I had a super duper partner (also a green beret) in Country Western Swing. We'd go to the bars and dance for hours...slugging down the water. Forget beer! No one else would dance but us so we could have the entire floor to ourselves to do the flips and such. Ended up as finalists where the Braun Brothers held an incredible out of doors concert, grassy amphitheater, blue blue sky and snow covered Sawtooth Mountains. Heaven.
There were 5 couples and we each had our own 'podium'? 10 feet high by 12 by 12 feet. I wore my full circle skirt and high heeled boots. Whoo Hoo! We WON! $1000 prize!
@stormy We were a small circle that danced and worked there and the best part was the after-party-party on Saturdays when we had gotten all the learners out and the major cleaning done. Then we’d order pizza and turn up the music. My poor then-boyfriend-now-husband was initially very confused because we would hug each others and it was perfectly normal to sit on your partner’s lap. He’s from a much more physically distant background.
We are having the hottest summer this year. It has been 100 every day for the past couple of weeks and supposed to continue for another week. It cools down to 40 every night.
Sometimes. We’ve had “thunder that makes you fall out of the bed at night” scenarios this summer already. Usually I love thunderstorms, but the last one flooded the basement, so...
