sammy gerbil @Abcd Q27 YDSE with Polarizer : Divide the electric field of light falling onto the slits into amplitudes parallel (p) and perpendicular (s) to the polarizer. Only p gets through the polariser and emerges from slit 2 whereas p+s emerges from slit 1. Max amplitude in the interference pattern is p+s+p (slits 1 & 2 in phasee) while min amplitude is p+s-p = s.
