they don't even have to be common. you can clue anything you think your fellow attackers can figure out. but to be fair, it has to be something your defender would not be hopelessly unable to guess.

"CORRECT HORSE BATTERY STAPLE" is highly unlikely to be something anyone would figure out, so clueing it would be unavailing, but entirely legal. :)
