one player called the defender chooses a word

the other players then think of their own words starting with the same letter

and they make a clue for that word that can be as hard or easy as they like

if the defender gets the word, then they're safe and we know that's not the defender's word

the defender cannot guess their own word

if somebody else thinks they know the word, they can say contact <clue number>

once somebody has contacted, if the defender thinks they can't solve the clue, they can pass

if the contacter or any other player gets the word when it's been passed, the defender has to give the next letter of their word
