@B.Wilson Hm, since it is purely a read operation, and TryAPL now has (almost) no secrets, it should be safe, so it is probably a hold-over from when TryAPL had secrets. Afaict, it cannot be used to read #.TAE.salt
nor access the environment variable TAE_SALT
nor e.g. close instances of classes that run the server, so it can probably be allowed. Btw, you can get the current version on TryAPL with ]state
