@JonChan yeah that's a nice idea, but I think local usergroups are a lot more low hanging fruit. There are a lot of meetups around the world and companies like Google and Facebook pay a lot of money to take a slice of that. There is no reason you shouldn't be there given people like you guys better.
@Laura SE could provide swag and get high rep users who are also good speakers to speak up (most would love the chance), add a few snacks, there are lots of places who'd just let you use them. Getting users together hearing lectures and making things. I already have a beer with 3 people who I met through SO every other week - why not encourage the socializing? (cc @JonChan )
I got pulled away to a meeting and missed most of the episode. It's been so long since you did a live episode that I was in school last time, and didn't have distractions like that to worry about.
