The best advice I can give for the bash, it will get you many of the hats and solve 80% of the activity just for hats, is to just be patient.

all of the questions at the back will be the most unactive (so no answers, edits, votes) and also unanswered. seemed to work a treat

and as I said earlier, I checked elementary for editing old questions with no answers and a year old worked for me after 5 edits
