@JamesENL Asking someone to upvote your posts without any real legitimate motive other than to go towards badges or something similar is encouraging bad behavior
According to every single answer to this question, the Abominable hat can be earned by raising a close flag on a question that is later closed.
Let me be clear that I did this with three separate questions and I did not receive the hat.
Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?
> Hats? People will do anything to get a hat! It'll be anarchy! Hatarchy! Worry not! All normal site rules still apply. If you're caught sockpuppeting for hats, you will be suspended, just as you would be normally.
Just saying
You could sell your soul for hats, nothing stopping you
Maybe we can get Puzzling to help work out the criteria for They Live.... We've got 4 test cases, now we just need to come up with a question to solve what all the edit numbers have in common
The problem is we don't know whether it has anything to do with review patterns, so the question might not have the correct data for someone to solve it
So, for They Live, I've looked at the reviews I did on the day I got the hat, and it looks like I reviewed 5 edits on posts at least a year old (of course it might not be limited to a single day)
Winter Bash 2016 has started, and is in full swing. I love hats as much as the other person, but can't help notice some "soul-selling" for them (which I am also guilty for). By "soul-selling" I mean things such as votes not based on content ("This is Fine" for example, and for badges and thus, ha...
For those that haven't heard we are in the middle of Winter Bash 2016 and everyone's gone hat mad! Now there is a group trying to work out the trigger conditions for each secret hat.
We are currently looking at the hat called They Live. What we know:
It has something to do with reviewing sugge...
@bluefeet I had hoped for users to provide at least a decent answer in the process, but it didn't turn out well. I do realize this and have already stopped. The quality of answers on SO is important to me too, and hats do not come anywhere close to justifying such behavior.
@JamesENL I just counted mine (for science, even if I don't think it's the right direction), and I get 7 Approves, 4 Edits, 7 Rejects, and 1 Reject and Edit, for 19/20 reviews before I got the hat.
