Q: How to free up CPU

monobogdanHow to free up CPU in ubuntu? My CPU is 80% loaded, in win7 - 0% Okay, what i do for freeup resources? My CPU: Pentium D dual core(3ghz on core) Linux Mint 18 Sarah MATE desktop

Mint is not Ubuntu and as such is off-topic here.
In addition to Celtic's comment, cursing out Ubuntu is not likely to want us to give you help. Hence the -4.
And rude language is also not permitted here.
Okay, you can say anyone about theme?
Mint is not Ubuntu, therefore we don't support it. They're fundamentally two operating systems, even though they're similar.

How to minimize CPU usage? Is really slow... CS GO 15 FPS
@KazWolfe, is ubuntu faster then mint?
They're both Linux and both roughly the same.
@monobogdan - Zorin OS is also Ubuntu-based. And is still off-topic here. On AskUbuntu, only the distributions that are recognized officially by Canonical, can be discussed. Other Ubuntu-based distros may present important differences from Ubuntu. Therefore, the advices we give you may not work on your distro.
That would be Mac OS X, then. On a Mac. It's the one OS that exists that doesn't have the proprietary driver issue.
I didn't say OSx86. I said Mac OS on an actual Mac. If you want accelerated drivers, those are going to be proprietary. There's no way around that.
@monobogdan - With all the respect, I strongly advice you to stop cursing. Thank you for understanding!
@CristianaNicolae, visit linux.org.ru ;)
Okay, what is FASTEST UBUNTU OR DEBIAN BASED DISTRO? I'm want play games
18:04
They're all roughly the same. If you wan to play games, try WINDOWS.
Unless you know what you're doing and want to muck around with proprietary drivers a bit, which gets me about 170FPS in CS:GO and 90 in Skyrim, so I'm happy.
@KazWolfe, my hardware: CPU: Pentium D GPU: GeForce GT430 2GB RAM: 2GB
@monobogdan - I've visited it, but I still don't get it. What do you imply? That users on their forum are cursing? Well, having a poor education and plentifully showing it is their problem, not ours, not here, on AskUbuntu. Otherwise, the site you've mentioned looks just fine. Anyway, regarding your problem with the games, my friendly advice for you would be to create a dual-boot with Linux and Windows. Make Linux your main OS and use Windows just for games. (Of course, you should install several good security programs). Linux will give you security and Windows will come with the fun.
@CristianaNicolae, haha, no poor language, yes, but anonymouses... I can't install windows, because if i install windows i clean Linux.
And reboot every 5 minutes - not cool
@monobogdan - Well, it's true that Windows has its way of imposing itself over other OSs. And, as far as I can remember, the best method is to install Windows first and then Linux. So, yes, you can use them both. You install Windows (on a partition) and then, you can install Ubuntu alongside Windows.
I see that this discussion is moved here.

Yes, it is. Comments are not for extended discussions.
YOu're free to continue your discussions here.
Thomas Ward has frozen this room.
@monobogdan This is still an English website on the chat room, and we still don't permit rudeness or spamming. Either continue your discussion you were having on the question originally here, or I'm happy to leave this discussion frozen and leave it to rot for eternity.
