I know 0 chess but I could probably make a bot for this

My DND bot used to have a dungeon map that it would update and display on a webpage on the fly. This is basically the same thing excpt SE chat has images unlike IRC

I know it involves swapping the rook and something right?

(Did I mention I've played maybe three games of chess in my entire life yet?)

Other than that the only hard parts of this are parsing the notation (which shouldn't be that bad) and the nearest neighbor search for which piece to move

Just my personal experience is that people can play chess casually for years without knowing en passant is even a thing (until it happens to them).

It specifically has to happen on the immediate next move, but yeah.

And pawns can only move twice as their first move, right?

I have to keep track of whether a piece has been moved before for castling anyways so that's not too much of a burden

@El'endiaStarman After that, I could see 16. Qc6 Ra6 17. Qc7 followed by either a knight-bishop trade or perhaps ... Rf6 (not sure whom that advantages)
