This is with CHPL_TARGET_ARCH=native CHPL_COMM=gasnet CHPL_COMM_SUBSTRATE=smp CHPL_GASNET_MORE_CFG_OPTIONS="--disable-pshm-posix --enable-pshm-file".
I'll try the other option now.

Yay for a correct -nl 2 run! (boo for the -nl 3)...
Interestingly, if I throw the --no-checks flag on the compile line (which has the effect of shrinking the binary), I can run -nl 3 though! -nl 4 still falls apart, though.
I'm about to time out for the night and will be out of the office tomorrow. We may have to ask @Elliot some leading questions to answer on SO so that he can speak for himself. :)

@Brad The results with --enable-pshm-hugetlbfs are pretty much identical, except that I had to install a library for this one. I've synced the servers to this build.

@Dennis Can you add BASIC? There's a nice interpreter here - just make and execute the binary with .input.tio as the only argument.
Looks like the binary is output/my_basic_bin

@MDXF I'll check it out tomorrow. Do you happen to know if it's very different from tio.run/#ubasic?

Yep.
> The (non-interactive) uBASIC interpreter supports only the most basic BASIC functionality: if/then/else, for/next, let, goto, gosub, print, and mathematical expressions. There is only support for integer variables and the variables can only have single character names.
My-BASIC supports everything DOS' BASIC did, and more that the author came up with.
