@Dennis Could you pull Charcoal? Thanks!
@ASCII-only Done.

@Dennis Thanks!

@Dennis Your @font-face tries locally first, but a few people have an outdated DejaVu Sans Mono. Would it be an idea to always supply the font, or would that make TIO too slow?

@Dennis Can you please pull Brachylog?

@Dennis Are there other languages than Whitespace which have special handling of whitespace?

1 hour later…
15:39
@Fatalize Done.
15:50
@Adám Hm, I had hoped this wouldn't be a problem. The WOFF2 version is only 146 KB large and cached for a long time, so removing the local directive shouldn't be a huge deal.
@Adám I don't think I understand what you mean by "special handling".
@Dennis Wow, that's tiny.
@Dennis Sometimes the auto-generated codegolf submission uses <pre><code> instead of four spaces.
@Adám That doesn't depend on the language; it tests whether the code would be rendered in Markdown the way it should. If the code has a trailing newline, tabulators or other control characters, or lines that consist entirely of whitespace, TIO generates HTML.
@Adám Yeah, WOFF2 is quite efficient. It also helps that TIO only needs the vanilla font. Supporting bold, oblique, and bold-oblique would add quite a bit of bulk.
16:08
@Dennis Can you please add Surface to tio?

@stasoid Sure. gcc -Wall warns about misleading indentation. Could you check if it works as intended?
I'm not really sure what that if statement accomplishes.
17:20
Yes, this works as expected. I changed it to more conventional code anyway. It is not good when code causes confusion.

17:39
Ah, this one I actually understand. :)
cool, thanks a lot
18:37
Thank you for the interpreter. :)
So, TIO hosts exactly 249 languages right now. What should be number 250?
Man, I don't know.
I am concerned only about Add language to a polyglot challenge.
Out of those that are not on tio Archway seems to be the best candidate.
But we for some reason use version 1, not version 2. I did not investigate it yet.

@Dennis gaot++
resists urge to kick-mute
The highest ranking language on TIOBE that isn't on TIO would be Swift. Looks like a pain to set up though.
18:57
@Dennis what does this mean?
Room owners can temporarily block access to a room by "kicking". (Context: this is the fourth time Phoenix requested Gaot++.)
Hm, found Swift on copr.
19:51
Can we get a TIO api sometime?
Jun 8 at 19:33, by programmer5000
@Dennis Can we get an easier-to-use REST API sometime? It would be helpful for a challenge I am making.
20:26
@Downgoat Tried to build it from source and failed. Miserably. After running from ~30 minutes, something ran out of memory. Maybe when I migrate TIO to better servers.
:| ok wow
I could try building a pre-built binary and send that to you
probably won't work actually needs ton of libs
Probably.
@Dennis :O
Btw I really don't like that the build scripts made modifications to /usr. No easy way to undo those. :(
(That's not directed at you, @Downgoat.)
21:12
@Dennis Could you make an option to disable wrapping, and instead display horizontal scrollbars? That would be very nice for large that gets messed up when it's too big
9
22:03
@DJMcMayhem That should be easy enough. The question is: where do I put the checkbox/whatever?
Oh, whoops, I freehanded the wrong setting
Whatever, you get the idea :P
Hm, the thing is these are settings for the server side of things.
Oh
Do you think that when you figure out the solution to this that it would be stored in the permalink?
I'd rather have it on top of the output area. The cache hit thing will disappear soon, so I could put a drop-down there.
@DJMcMayhem Good question. It would make sense for ASCII art, but aome might simply prefer non-wrapping behavior, and I'm not sure personal preferences should be part of the state...
Well, if someone did prefer non-wrapping, they could just change it when they test it
I'd be in favor it existing in the permalink
Actually, from a terminology standpoint, it might make more sense to enable wrapping, rather than enabling non-wrapping
22:22
I think I'll make a drop-down for this and future output options (wrapping text, non-wrapping text, hexdump, image, etc.).
22:34
Hexdump of code or output?
23:27
Both.
