@Fatalize Done. This is just a temporary solution though, as the next update of the pl package will overwrite it.

TIO is currently running 7.2.3, which is the latest version from Fedora's repos. Would trying to install the latest version from GitHub be worthwhile? The lastest release is at 7.5.4, but I have no idea how different that is from 7.2.3.

because part of their job is to set the permissions on things

right, an immutable mark probably would work? but the update manager would be confused and likely consider the package to be broken

I can pin pl to 7.2.3, but I'm not sure I should hold down the entire package because of a single file.

I wonder if there's an analog for LD_PRELOAD for swipl.
