yeah, finally :D

In case you did not noticed it yet, I shamelessly nominated my self to become moderator.
06:48
Question for @GraceNote and/or @Emrakul... what sort of time commitment is generally "expected" or "normal" for moderators?

Here are the top editors in 2016 (so far ;) )

hello everyone ^_^
hey! c:
Didn't know you were 17 :)
That does not matter :p
Yes, obviously.
Age is just a number for being a moderator, right?
09:46
@Alconja There's no strict requirement, as in you won't get booted out for inactivity unless you, say, stop visting the site / handling flags for several weeks without previous notice. You should be able to check in at least one or two times a day, though, to check the flag queue / meta / chat / etc. (again, that's not a hard rule or anything, just a guideline off the top of my head).
@ABcDexter I'm 15 right now and was 13 when I was appointed on PPCG, and I know we've had several other moderators of similar ages elsewhere on the network. So yes, I would say it is :)

@Doorknob that's amazing :D

@Emrakul Great. Where? (Where is the list of current nominees ?)
Ah! Thanks Deusovi. (Should the META link not have a more proiminant link to that list? I totally missed that information...)
Yeah, probably - I got the link from the main site. Wouldn't have found it otherwise.
Ah, another information which would be useful (and can propably be researched, but I think it should be prominently stated): How many moderators are there to be per site?
@Doorknob Just to clarify on this, it's several months
11:46
@BmyGuest: On the side of the election page, it says 3.

@Alconja It varies, honestly! Most days go by without too much trouble, so the minimum time requirement isn't very high, but I typically spend 15ish to 30ish minutes doing Mod Things(TM) a day, at a guess. I've never really kept track.
user61230
But it varies. Most of it is just, as Doorknob mentioned, checking in with the key communication lines to see if anyone's poked for a mod. Flags, meta, chat. Sometimes it takes longer when something trickier to handle comes up.
14:45
Something interesting would be to have mods from different timezones so there is always one mod awake to handle urgent problem

@Lordofdark What problem do you see being so urgent that it couldn't wait a few hours until a mod wakes up?
16:49
@Lordofdark I second that :D

Put myself forward, personally I think that Emrakul, Deusovi, and GentlePurpleRain should all be moderators and they have my vote, but hopefully I'll get some votes too. Worth a shot
@Lordofdark commented about different time zones, I'm in England so I'd be active when the American users aren't
