If you have questions about the election process itself, please ask your question on the Puzzling Meta Site. Remember, folks stepping up to lead this community are committing a significant amount of their time, please keep all discourse civil and constructive.
Agreed. No reason to replace unless someone is stepping down or the nominees were all unthinkable in their fantasticness.
They got us through some hard times by being intelligent and fair. I haven't agreed with everything they've done, but they have always been good for the site.
I'm staff, not an acting moderator for the site. I'm neither appointed nor elected so my status is unchanged in this, if that's what you're asking.
Pro tems do have to run to retain their position - their original position was appointed by us without actual community consent, so even if community supported, to be a full fledged moderator they need the community to actively elect them on their own.
