@Himarm The sad thing is that, like most things involving Clinton, there's no real discussion. The guy dies right after he's named in released, unredacted documents from her email and they say "you can't prove that." and call it a night.
Oh, so anything is acceptable, so long as you can't directly prove harmful intent?
No, only if you're Clinton.
r/politics has been in a shitstorm today
because they finally noticed trump is ahead inthe polls
and that 538 guy changed his mind from hilary landslide to 2 close 2 count
Isn't that debate between them coming up soonish?
tonight
@DrRDizzle Neither group is interested in changing immigration. Democrats only have minority votes because of their take on immigrant reform and entitlements -- statistically speaking, all minority groups swing strongly to the right on the other major topics.
im waiting for trump to say something super racist, and for hilary to stroke out
really seel the deal on this election

@Himarm God willing, both on the same night.
One candidate physically unable to take office, the other unwanted.
Granted, they'd probably put up replacements that were straight out of the party lines on both sides, so that'd still suck.
And for the record: BLM is like the Tea Party; there are good people, there are bad people, there's a political smear campaign, and there's a little truth behind the smears.
And the basic idea that started it all was good.
If you want to decrease gun crime, do something with proven efficacy: uplift the slums via good jobs and proper law enforcement.
did you see 70% of the blm people arrested in charlote are from out of state
its not even the locals protesting
oh i already posted that
I'd imagine that's because BLM protests that make it to the news are riots. And riots mean free stuff.
We don't cover the 98% that aren't riots, we do cover the 2% that are hell. The news is self-propagating.
Eventually people forget that the plight of black poor people in poor areas is the same as the plight of all poor people in poor areas.
And the systemic issues that lead to the events that cause the protests go unchanged.

@Terriblefan i dont remember the tea part shutting down cities
@Terriblefan yes at the end of the day the real divide is economic not race
which is why all white have "that one black friend"
@Himarm its the same with the pipeline protest, the ones who were getting interviewed were from washington (state) and oregon... like okay maybe they are the same tribe.
but its 500 so i end my time with my corporate master for the day
@Skooba And yet they were demonized enough for it to be an insult to even imply someone is with them. The power of having several media conglomerates in your pocket cannot be overstated.
It's sad that we're still tribal beings. But we are.
21:15
Totally excited for this debate tho
@Himarm Not looking forward to the straight month of articles from the big news cong's afterward.
22:10
@Himarm Disney's trying to buy Twitter.
@Skooba Which would mean ABC would own Twitter.

Leaving this here, because I thought it was brilliant. WaPo, when it came down to people arguing over stupid crap like failed marriages:

Shillary has a great marriage. Just ask Monica Lewinsky, Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey, Paula Jones, Eileen Wellstone, Sandra Allen James, Christy Zercher, Carolyn Moffet, Helen Dowdy, Becky Brown, Regina Blakely Hopper, Elizabeth Ward Gracen, Connie Hamzy, Gennifer Flowers, Dolly Kyle Browning, Sally Miller (Perdue),and Lencola Sullivan
