Q: Texstudio 3.1.2 goes to the end of a word automatically

Nam Tran LeI am using Texstudio 3.1.2 on Windows. The cursor goes to the end of a word automatically, when a character is inserted. Please help me turn it off. Thank you in advance!

:)) at least the cursor does not go to the end of world!

@UlrikeFischer \BeginAccSupp{ActualText=} hmm I'd tried that with no success:-) in xpdf the ruby text is never copied in the first place and in firefox the actualtext is ignored and it copies the ruby so I gave up and waited to see if you'd post a tagpdf answer but you posted just what I'd tried:-)

@DavidCarlisle Well I could also make a tagging answer, but I have some doubts that viewers which ignore actualtext, honor tagging as ruby or artifact.

@UlrikeFischer yes I doubt browser support is any better for "newer" tagging features.

7:44 AM
@DavidCarlisle you could try this. But one needs an actualtext too. (and I have no idea if this is really a "ruby" and not a "warichu".) But ngpdf doesn't like it, it shows neither the pdf content nor and html export. And while preflight says every is fine, adobe pro crashes if I try to export to xml or html ....
\RequirePackage{pdfmanagement-testphase}
\DeclareDocumentMetadata{uncompress,testphase=tagpdf,activate=tagging,pdfversion=2.0}

\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{xecjk}
\usepackage{ruby}

\cs_set_eq:NN\tagmcbeginpop\tag_mc_begin_pop:n{}
\ExplSyntaxOff

! LaTeX3 Error: The key '__tag/setup/activate' is unknown and is being

@UlrikeFischer ^ I'm behind the times, it seems
ah I see why..

@DavidCarlisle hm, didn't I upload the pdfmanagement? Ah no it is a tagpdf key. But this should be on ctan too

@UlrikeFischer yes but not in my local texmf tree:-) but....\usepackage{xecjk} makes me suspect you use windows.... \usepackage{xeCJK}

@DavidCarlisle the secret is out ;-)

@UlrikeFischer but still same in firefox and edge, the ruby is copied

7:52 AM
@DavidCarlisle I thought so. But I will write Boris and ask why ngpdf can't handle it ...

@Plergux ooh

9:24 AM
@MarcelKrüger which mono font do you use for code? :)

4 hours later…
12:59 PM
@MarcelKrüger it seems to work fine. I always tried to avoid to have to it find out, but now I really want to know: what is the argument of the num variant? Is that an arbitrary number one can use?

1 hour later…
2:02 PM
@PauloCereda Currently I use Noto Sans Mono.
@UlrikeFischer The same as for regular destinations: Just an arbitrary positive integer with no further meaning.

2:20 PM
@MarcelKrüger ooh

2:41 PM
@MarcelKrüger aha, so I guessed right (but I don't think I saw that ever in use). When I do this: xx\pdfstartlink goto struct name {earthYY} name {earthXX} Second\pdfendlink without creating any destination, then one get only a warning about the missing normal destination, earthXX. Is that intended?

3:04 PM
@UlrikeFischer No, there is supposed to be a second warning. But it turns out that functions work much better if you actually call them... Fixed it locally, but I'll have to finish some work on external links before building this again.

@MarcelKrüger ;-) No problem. Btw: I quite like the name version. I hope the luatex team use that too.

This is my first time using chat on stackexchange. I am trying to combine two latex projects. One does
```
\usepackage{algorithm}
\usepackage[noend]{algcompatible}
```
(which already seems wrong?)

and I'm trying to include it in a `\documentclass{kaobook}`, which has `\RequirePackage[linesnumbered, ruled, vlined]{algorithm2e}`

https://www.overleaf.com/learn/latex/Algorithms#The_algcompatible.2Falgorithmic_and_algorithm_packages claims that they use incompatible syntax. Any suggestions for doing this merge?

@Gus there are too many algorithm packages:-) without a test case hard to say but in principle you can do the same as any package clash, if they both define an environment of the same name, load one then \CopyEnvironment to save the clashing environment with a new name then load the second.

5:01 PM
Autumn weather has arrived.

5:53 PM
@LaTeXereXeTaL We have had 2 days of solid rain and 50°F/10°C weather. :(
@Gus As a general rule, classes should not load such packages, unfortunately. But it's a common mistake to think that the class should load all the relevant packages for you, and usually leads to these kinds of problems.
@Gus Depending on how much the class builds other commands using commands from algorithm2e it might be sufficient to simply make a copy of the class without the \RequirePackage{algorithm2e} line, and then use algorithm as you like.

@UlrikeFischer I updated the binary and the example to provide warnings for missing destinations and minimal support for external links with /SD (There the value must be given manually, but I didn't see any better options)

Thanks for the previous answers. I'd like to load all of mathtools, hyperref and cleveref, but there is a conflict on the command \refeq. I would like to rename the mathtools command, however I do not know if that will break the package itself (if other commands are defined in terms of \refeq).

@Gus I don't see any conflict?
\documentclass{article}

\usepackage{mathtools,hyperref,cleveref}

\begin{document}
\begin{equation}
  \label{eq:z}
  1=2
\end{equation}

\refeq{eq:z}
\end{document}

8:01 PM
@MarcelKrüger is it the same link? The page says that all files have been last change a day ago.

@UlrikeFischer Should be updated now.

8:58 PM
@MarcelKrüger it seems to work fine, but I wonder a bit about the syntax, the double num 42 looks a bit odd imho: \pdfstartlink goto struct num 42 num 42 First\pdfendlink. Perhaps \pdfstartlink goto structnum 42 num 42 First\pdfendlink would be better? And similar for the name variant.

@UlrikeFischer The idea behind that was that 1. it's consistent with the \pdfdest syntax where this comes from reusing the normal \pdfdest scanning, 2. in the case of using the same value for both this can be hidden by the macro layer which can insert exactly the same thing twice without worrying about changing the keyword. I wouldn't mind changing it though. Beside that, structnum/structname technically already word (because TeX doesn't care if two keywords are separated by spaces or not)

@MarcelKrüger ok, for me it is fine (at the end it will be hidden in the backend anyway). But I think I should check tomorrow how it fits with the xelatex syntax.

@UlrikeFischer +1 Do we need this also for other engines?
