@DavidCarlisle in lesson-15 the code block under ## Anatomy ... seems to use some special formatting for \textbold, but that seems to no longer work after ace.js
@PhelypeOleinik yes I can no longer higlight the error but (hopefully) I do move the cursor to the error point so the line is highlighted and the editor cursor is there
@manooooh Just get @PauloCereda to add some ~ to the Portuguese version? (I understand all these languages:-)
@manooooh yes the paragraph I linked to links to translations page so I thought I'd start there but seems you have all the info. If you look at the portuguese pages you will see they changed a couple of minutes ago:-)
@DavidCarlisle well, as you have commented if the English version is not in the final version, the translations will not be as powerful as they should be. I want to make sure to fully understand the process, post an issue in the correct place, post the proper code etc.
@manooooh we are getting to the end with the english version so we no longer actively stop people translating, but the course has not really been used by any actual learners yet, so we need to have flexibility to change things after user experience/comments, so there may need to be followup edts to the translations, but the good thing with git os that you can easily find all the English changes since the revision where you forked to start a translation
@samcarter_left_tex.se if you uploaded the video on a website you can share the link, that would be awesome if there are problems with Zoom sharing screen
@MarcelKrüger: in TUG 2018, on behalf of @samcarter_left_tex.se, I talked bout tikzducks. Will Robertson was the next to talk. He loved the duck package that, during my talk, he added a hook (oh no, hooks) to each slide of his talk (a fontspec one, I guess) to include a random duck. :)
@JosephWright @DavidCarlisle I look a bit at the middle video, he is complaining that you have to click on a button to get the math back and that you get a full page instead of only the math, and he got it wrong who is now providing latex online.
@samcarter_left_tex.se is not online? :( I mean I downloaded it, it's not so heavy considering it is 11:18 long. I meant to be uploaded to be watched online so that participants do not have to deal with the problem of downloading and opening it on their machines

@PauloCereda well, the issue is that only during the talk we realized that the audio and video were misaligned, and then there was some difficult discussion about the solution. There was an easy way how to make it working, but the speaker refused to go that way.
@JosephWright he spoke about learnlatex and showed a screenshot. he thinks it is not for beginner because the most important thing for beginner is to be able to type 2+2=4.
@JosephWright you should be starting your talk right now, but Jonathan keeps waiting for us to finish watching the video (which I don't know how he knows who finished watching it and who didn't lol)
@DavidCarlisle I seen you are on Zoom. Did Jonathan post the sites where he tested the codes? Except the last one (learnlatex.org)? I'm embarrassed to ask an obvious thing there
Nobody around me knows anything about LaTeX so I can't share anything about my learning process with them. Anyway, I learned about SyncTex (very useful) and figured how to add a snippet to bold and emphasize the selected text so it helped a great deal during the typesetting process.
@samcarter_left_tex.se I will be eternally grateful to you for showing me how to create the duckling. If we mass produce it, you will take most of the profit!
@DavidCarlisle A question in the chat (for after the talk): Should I translate at least the headlines into Japanese at the time being? Will that be helpful?
@wtsnjp to be honest the stub pages were mostly for me to test the switching code if we get more real translations I may remove the languages that don't have the main body translated, but am open to suggestiins
@DavidCarlisle Ok, then I will wait until all the contents in English are ready to be translated. I prefer to translate headlines at the same time, which will reduce your work to merge (only a tiny bit, though ;-))

@HenriMenke I managed to join it yesterday, but I had to use Chromium, it doesn't like Firefox. And there was literary nobody online. I hope it will be better today.
@michal.h21 not currently but it's a possibility. While it runs in a virtual machine that does nothing else but run that, there doesn't seem a lot of need.

@wtsnjp what could be useful would be to fill out the Japanese specific lessons, I stole an example from Overleaf (so I could test setting up the submission latexmkrc required there) and just copied it to demonstrate uplatex and lualatex and then tate vertical version but I don't really know what needs saying for beginner Japanese users so the lessons just have 6 examples and no text

@UlrikeFischer There is a little arrow for extended options next to the mute button. You can use it to access extended options like "Leave computer audio"
@UlrikeFischer The best (only) way I have found is to disconnect sound. But I cannot find that method in Seminar mode. Just hitting the volume botton so that it gets an "x" did not work. It put the sound almost to zero. Moreover, it looks different on different computers/phones, so it is a mess.
