@PauloCereda there is an error at 1:45. A trailing "bier" too much, should be "Rhabarberbarbarabarbarbarenbartbarbier"
@Skillmonlikestopanswers.xyz oopsie :) Mind if I pretend it's okay? Too much complicated to fix. :)
@PauloCereda Yes, seems ok.

Those viking guys, they look so cool!
@PauloCereda just like your thesis, we just pretend its ok.
We should open a TikzDucks store!
@Skillmonlikestopanswers.xyz oh no

@DavidCarlisle what is to try there?
@UlrikeFischer there is a hint in the branch name
@DavidCarlisle yes, but anything special or more "does longtable works at all"?
@UlrikeFischer mostly patches from gnats and comp.text.tex
@UlrikeFischer yes that's what I'm asking for, I know that the changes improved the test files, but question is how many documents does it break....
@UlrikeFischer haven't decided yet whether I'll keep more or less to feature removals, and call it 4.14 or whether I'll pull in some of the more radical ideas I was planning in the dpctex/longtable and make it 5.0 probably stick to 4.14, not sure yet....
@DavidCarlisle did you try to fix some of the "negative stretch space" problems?
16:37
@UlrikeFischer not yet, done the main "float on same page messes everything up" and unboxed the final page (fixes several issues) and allocated a box to avoid global box headings in the page head messing things up. Basically picking bits out of htmlpreview.github.io/?https://raw.githubusercontent.com/…
@UlrikeFischer and I made Travis happy (our main role in life, it seems)
@DavidCarlisle I never can remember if one get a new remote branch with git checkout branch or git checkout -b branch ;-(. But now I have longtable 4.14 and the example for issue 3512 looks good.
16:57
@UlrikeFischer there is a patch from Donald A in an old gnats issue for shrink glue I think, is that the one you meant?
@DavidCarlisle I meant this github.com/latex3/latex2e/issues/183 and similar one.
@DavidCarlisle Do you think a one-pass solution is possible?
@UlrikeFischer not sure
17:21
What (except for @DavidCarlisle) would make for a good antagonistic animal to a small duckling?
17:47
@Skillmonlikestopanswers.xyz I hear swans can be quite bad-tempered.
@FaheemMitha not a bad idea. Those evil swans are clearly plotting something.
@Skillmonlikestopanswers.xyz -- I can confirm that swans are bad-tempered. I was once chased by one that looked very angry! Fortunately, I was on a bicycle, and could ride away faster than the swan was willing to follow. Another creature that might be antagonistic to a small duckling is a fox; but since (as far as I know) foxes don't swim, if a duckling is near water, it might escape unscathed.
18:30
@DavidCarlisle oh, those majestic falcons. Nah, I think a swan would make a more traditional and cliché antagonist.
I think once I'm done with my master's thesis and have a bit of free time I'll continue the story of the blind duck and its underduckling.
19:22
@barbarabeeton oh no!
Ostriches are also mean
20:08
@PauloCereda all those birds are mean, stick to mammals
20:57
@PauloCereda -- I've never met an ostrich close up, but I have had a nose-to-beak encounter with an emu. It was very curious, but not aggressive. It did step on my toes, which was not entirely comfortable, but not damaging.

Hello all! Does someone know what are the meaning of [l], [s] and [n] in morecomment of the listings package (p. 23)?
Thank you!
@manooooh Hic sunt leones
@egreg thanks for the comment! I still don't understand
@manooooh That phrase was written in ancient maps of Africa, meaning “we know nothing about the place, apart that lions live there”
Uh, oh
22:58
@manooooh the types are described on page 46. l= line comments, s=single, n=nested.
Thanks
Suppose we have End If as the end of the If statement. How can we define it inside morekeywords?
I tried with morekeywords={End If} but it does not work. I have to use morekeywords={End,If}
