@DavidCarlisle ok
@egreg thanks! I guess I will have to prevent - x manually. Thanks again!
The minimum donation has to be $3, and I will donate $2,9999999999999999. Breaking the rules...
:)
00:53
@manooooh Of course I am regularly donating there. These are Canadian $.
@marmot nice!
@CarLaTeX :O you are right!

@manooooh If I replace the lower part of the document of your latest question by
\flushleft

% list of OCGs, space separated
\def\ocglist{}%
\foreach \X in {0,...,\totalnodes} {\xdef\ocglist{\ocglist\space myArrow\X}}

How can I check if I broke something?

Hi ducks and latex users, if you have a free second, could you perhaps consider reopening tex.stackexchange.com/q/482330/121799 ? IMHO the edited question is fine, the more so the user is a newcomer who is not familiar with our rules.
@marmot I have seen that question before: the OP puts no effort, so...
@marmot I do not know, but it works for me!!
@marmot how can we change the number of colums? I have added some arrows and the columns still in 6
@manooooh Sorry, what do you mean? There are no columns any more. You just loop over all arrows. (Most likely I'm dumb.)
@manooooh I am not sure if effort is the most important criterion. Look e.g. at our most voted question: tex.stackexchange.com/q/246/121799. How much effort is there?
04:43
@marmot ohh I see! To change the number of columns we only need to change the value of parbox, ahá!!
Consider this MWE:
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage[margin=0in,footskip=0in,paperwidth=14cm,paperheight=50cm]{geometry}
\usepackage[english]{babel}
\usepackage[utf8]{inputenc}
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
\usepackage{hyperref}
\usepackage[tikz]{ocgx2}
\usepackage{amssymb} % \checkmark
% check box command for layer switching
\newcommand\layerCheckBox[3]{%
% #1: switch id, if empty use #2 instead
% #2: layer ids to be toggled (space separated if multiple ids),
% #3: initial visibility
\resizebox{2ex}{!}{\ooalign{%
\switchocg{#1 #2}{$\square$}\cr%
You have solved the question, but I want to ask you about the meaning of \parbox{0.4\linewidth}: if I change 0.4 to e.g. 0.9 the output is the same, there are no changes, so I think that line of code is useless, am I right?
05:06
@marmot in that case it is a personal criterion to have investigated on the subject or not. But when it comes to a more explicit request, I could ask you to do all the format of my thesis without having moved a finger, which is not fair, even if you do not feel that way
@manooooh Yes, but I think many, including myself, misread the question a bit. As far as I can see, the OP really wanted only to replace the plane by a segment of a sphere, and did not want us to reproduce the screen shot.
05:31
@marmot well, if that is the case, it is okay for me. You have answered very nice

@JosephWright you got mail

1 hour later…
08:37
@yo' YAY! Congrats!
@DavidCarlisle He must be definitely an Italian politician, then, :)
09:39
Good morning. I am brewing a batch of beer today. Summer ale, and its snowing outside! What was I thinking?
@JosephWright as we had a time shift here: what time do you have now and at which hour would be the meeting tomorrow for you?
@UlrikeFischer It's 10:42 here - I guess we are going to meet still in lunch break, so 12:00 for me local time, 13:00 for you. Probably need to agree that ...
@JosephWright had you a clock change too last night?
@UlrikeFischer YEs
@JosephWright that explains why there is no change in the relation.
09:44
@HaraldHanche-Olsen ooh
@UlrikeFischer They're still in the EU, for the time being. Following the same schedule as the rest of us, just an hour behind.
@PauloCereda Well, it's another four weeks before it's ready to drink. By then, I hope the snow will have melted.
@HaraldHanche-Olsen Not down to the EU ... we are in a different timezone to most of the rest of Europe (well, of course, various European states doen't use their geographical time zone ... but ah well)
@JosephWright What I meant is, you switch between winter time and summer time at the same time as the rest of us. That's probably an EU thing. Things would be woefully confusing if you switched at different times. The US does, and even that is a pain for those of us with relatives there.
@HaraldHanche-Olsen I have stopped to try to understand which clock changes are local and which not - it easier to simply ask @JosephWright about the local time to sync it;-)
@UlrikeFischer Good plan.
09:53
@HaraldHanche-Olsen Yes, there's agreement but I'm not sure if it's technically an EU thing ...
@JosephWright Well, the ongoing work to abolish the whole time change madness is definitely an EU initiative. So I had assumed it was all an EU thing all along.
@HaraldHanche-Olsen Er yes. Personally, I have summer time, as the starting point for a timezone should be the physical noon, and that doesn't change twice a year ... but what do I know. (Also, work hours of 9-5 are stupid, 8-4 would be much better ...)
10:12
What happened on the main site? When I click on a question I get a horrible looking page?
@UlrikeFischer The April 1st thingy, probably.
@UlrikeFischer Oh dear ...
@UlrikeFischer Eek!
@PauloCereda we don't have April 1st here ...
@UlrikeFischer I abolished that prankster day as well. :)
10:14
uff clicking on the clock puts everything back.
@PauloCereda no I meant we still have 31.3. April is tomorrow (and some people will do pranksters).
@UlrikeFischer oh
10:29
@UlrikeFischer Oh for pity's sake, I have to keep telling it to get 'back to normal'. Grr
@JosephWright oh
90s scientists: we cloned a sheep! we landed a robot on mars! scientists today: for the last time, the earth is *round*

10:49
@UlrikeFischer Seems they finally improved the new design from last year :)
7
11:34
Have you seen the cursor with stars? LOL
12:28
@samcarter I'm not sure whether this an improvement or will trigger photosensitive epilepsy on 96% of the visitors.
@Skillmon It definitely solves a couple of remaining problems with the new design - for example all the instances of colour mismatches where the orange stackoverflow colour is used instead of your red highlight colour are no longer noticeable with so many other colours present :)

1 hour later…
13:42
@samcarter -- Well, the perpetrator missed something -- the banner at the top says "welcome to stackoverflow". Should be "stackexchange" -- they hijacked our domain! At least it will go away in a finite number of hours ... I hope!
@barbarabeeton it seem to be gone for me. Perhaps you need a large enough number of "go back to the future clicks".
14:13
You had one job!
\usepackage{newslipsum}
14:32
@UlrikeFischer This seems to have been fixed: meta.stackexchange.com/a/326013/237989

Q: Does not work on Netscape Navigator 3.0

tigerjieerFinally, after 20 years of suffering, StackOverflow now claims Yet all I see is NOTHING! Have all those years been wasted? Have I endured 20 years of ``error: insufficient memory'', browser segmentation faults, and JavaScript exceptions just for this? They lied to me! All I want are so...

15:14
@JosephWright I get an error here:
\documentclass[]{article}
\RequirePackage[enable-debug]{expl3}
\ExplSyntaxOn
\debug_on:n { check-declarations,check-expressions,deprecation}
\ExplSyntaxOff
\usepackage{siunitx}
\begin{document}
abc
\end{document}
Runaway argument?
{\bool_lazy_and:nnTF {\tl_if_empty_p:f {

5 hours later…
20:27
@UlrikeFischer Ah yes, I'll have to address that
@JosephWright it would be perhaps useful to have a test for "enable-debug" so that I can leave the \debug_on:n in a style without getting errors if enable-debug hasn't been used.
20:42
@JosephWright should I add an issue somewhere (where? l3kernel? siunitx?)
@UlrikeFischer Hmm, you mean the option or the fix in siunitx?
@JosephWright I meant the error.
@UlrikeFischer Oh that, it will get fixed in the next siunitx update, just needs TL'19 to be out ...
@JosephWright ok, should I add an issue about the option test?
@UlrikeFischer That's one for L3
21:01
@JosephWright I know, I will add something.
yo'

@PauloCereda Thank you! Sorry I didn't respond sooner, but at that time I was playing the organ in a church in a 2nd sous-terrain level---there's no cellphone coverage there---and then I was busy with my family.
