@Symbol1 It's possible you're looking for \udots og \udotdot, though it's hard to be certain, since I am not really sure about your intended meaning. See texdoc symbols.
@JosephWright Ah that one, the preceding ones were useful improvements but I think we close that especially now utf-8 handling is embedded and working well inclined not to add a lot of fragile code that just does error checking
@UlrikeFischer The Arabs called it simply “jabal” (the mountain), so it came to be called “mons gibellus” and then “Mongibello”. ”Aetna” is the Latin name.

@UlrikeFischer I was once at a restaurant on the mountain, called “La nuova quercia” (The New Oak) which is the paradise of mushrooms. The answer to “why new?” was that the old restaurant “La quercia” was about thirty meters underground.
