@bmike wow there used to be lag between key press and effect!
now if I want to convince myself, I can use the example of Apple Pencil which claims lower lag in every upgrade.

@ankii - could we clear our comments under meta.stackexchange.com/a/340813/276027 as I'm going to select it as Accepted. I feel our comments were a bit meta-meta & don't need to be below the chosen 'winner'. Mine will be gone by the time you read this, probably.
& btw, merry xmas to all, whether you celebrate it as a religious day or just an excuse to get presents & drink too much.
If you live somewhere it doesn't even make a dent on the calendar - feel free to wish me some kind of approximate equivalent when your culture's day comes around. I'll be happy to share at least at a distance. xx
@Tetsujin too much disclaimer for a celebration!
happy holidays! (or merry Christmas for the sensitive ones ;p)
Also, scohe is active on interpersonal skills, good to see his answer accepted :)
Oldpadawan is also on IPS

Time for a mandatory "Thank you Moore's Law?" :D
:-)
I like how MacBook 2014 has less # transistors than some other older versions.
say iMac 2002

Dude, one megahertz clock rate on the cpu. Less is more and Moore enables less
Moore enables more per unit ;p
And yes, mac 2014 clocks much faster than 2002. Efficient designs
