Q: How do you record only with the audio coming from your mac?

Sara MelishI'm trying to record my screen with recording the audio only coming from my mac. When I do a screen recording with quicktime, with audio settings : internal microphone, it records the video but with a lot of external noise (like cats). How do I make sure that the audio of what is being played ...

@bmike I voted to reopen here. @monomeeth said that he understood the problem correctly (and yes he did) and told op that other answers cover it. OP comes and says no they don’t have solution to this particular problem.
I might have missed some low voted answers back then, but afaik other answers help very little here.
I have not experimented with cats around me recording music video, but since it is their question with three updates, I believed what they said.

@bmike, I say leave it closed because Soundflower, linked in the accepted answer apple.stackexchange.com/questions/212829/… does exactly what she is asking for.

I wouldn't go anywhere near Soundflower on anything later than Mavericks. Kernel panics are frequent. — Tetsujin Dec 17 '15 at 9:06
@user3439894 I'm not saying OP tried it and doesn't want this, but there is no harm in having an updated answer.
Even the one the comments there recommend, and is updated till now, records external mic: araelium.com/screenflick-mac-screen-recorder
