Ouch! Down under the iMac Pro starts at A$7,299.00. Configuring it to the max would cost A$20,634.00. I wonder how many they'll sell? (Then again, I remember paying over A$8,000 for a fully maxed out PowerMac G4 in 2001/02, so if that's anything to go by... LOL)
I look forward to the next generation Mac Pro (hopefully to be announced in June 2018). :)
Yeah here in the States a fully maxed one is just under $14k USD, which actually doesn't sound unreasonable, considering the specs... Maybe I'm just used to Apple-inflated prices?
Correction: it ends up being $13,350, which I think isn't terrible. The $800 per processor upgrade and $600 GPU upgrade seem reasonable. The $800 upgrade from 1 to 2TB SSD isn't bad, but the $2000 upgrade from 2TB to 4TB is a bit much. They murder you on the RAM, though. I could get 128GB of that RAM from Crucial for under $1700, but Apple is charging $2400 for the upgrade to 128GB from 32GB.
