@daviesgeek You presume too much. ;)

1:52 PM
@KyleCronin And now it really gets noisy. ;)
I don't think I do.

I'm trying to get more outsiders to go for the contest

I understand, and essentially approve—unfortunately the side effects are part of the deal.

2:07 PM
@daviesgeek Just remember kids, an iTouch is a bad touch!

Q: Cannot Rearrange Launchpad Icons

user982834I just installed Lion over Snow Leopard. I was trying to rearrange the icons in Launchpad into folders/groups. It worked for a while, but sometime in the middle of rearranging I could no longer take previously foldered/grouped icons out of the group I had previously put them. I performed the k...

Launchpad really needs some polishing....

A: Does the iPad (2012, 3rd generation) have the most pixels of any tablet's display?

gentmattFor this answer, let's define that… …the sharpness of a display is the ability to distinguish two distinct pixels. Retina displays There is no industry standard for retina display, therefore I'll follow Apple's use of the word. The term retina display is relative, as the definition follows...

I've done some more work in LaTeX - real fun!

2:27 PM
I think the voting portion of the contest is convincing people to downvote too much. I'm getting random downvotes. There is an up arrow too folks!!!

@Moshe While not pointing to your questions/answers specifically (because I don't generally look at "who" when voting) , I think the contest is bringing out numerous items not deserving of an up vote and, all too often, that should be down voted. I'm exciting this contest is bringing attention to AD, but I'm not sure its attracting the right people in all cases.

@Moshe I'm not seeing more downvoting than normal. In fact, I've seen a distinct uptick in upvoting. More people are getting more rep by far than usual.

if I had to guess, it's probably the fact that you've asked a ton of easy questions in the last day or two
3

@KyleCronin do you know how to move comments on a post to a chat room?

@DanielL I think that'll only be done if there's an excessive conversation taking place in the comments, one of the parties will have the option to convert it into a chat

jrg
2:39 PM
What Kyle said.

Lots of questions of poor quality. Lots of sediment floating up from the cesspool of time and way too much "bottom feeding." At one point yesterday I was considering taking a three week vacation.

@KyleCronin There's definitely excessive conversation, but I don't see an option to convert. apple.stackexchange.com/admin/posts/44344/show-comments

@KyleCronin Well I've blown that by jumping the gun and creating a room. But it's hardly "busy" so I could always kill it and we could force the issue.

Jeff, I appreciate you creating the room.

@jaberg I wouldn't go that far

2:40 PM
@DanielL If you and I go back and forth a couple of times we'll be given the option. (I hate the artificiality of doing that though.)
@KyleCronin I won't
We can create the necessary context.

@DanielL hm, looks like you're a party to the conversation, you don't see an option to convert?

No, I don't. that's the problem.
And in trying to see if there was a mod option, I accidentally deleted one of Jeff's posts as offensive. Sorry, Jeff.

I am often offensive so I'll consider that fair game for one you missed. ;)

:-)

maybe it has to be more back-and-forth? i.e. lots of @replies back and forth?

2:43 PM
I guess...

@KyleCronin Oh, you meant "take a vacation". No, my alternative is to pick questions that interest me, try to minimize my negative reactions to the noise (IOW, don't go on a massive down vote/edit/VTC spree) and generally take the advice of REO Speedwagon by "riding the storm out."
@KyleCronin Yes. Lots of back and forth.

honestly, that feature is still something of a mystery
it's only happened to me once

Once here too. And the chat room conversation fizzled out after one round.

3:07 PM
This contest is nuts. I just broke 7000 rep.

I have a tendency to 'spike' on here anyway, and this promotion is con-inciding with a period of caning it which started a couple of days before it started -sadly as there an 8+ upvote that was too early to count!

@DanielL Congrats!
@stuffe You didn't post any further questions on twitter yesterday.
The only one you posted had a broken link because it got removed.
"It's not fun to be Apple. Not only do you have all the money you'll ever need, but you already have all the Apple products you want."

3:27 PM
Speaking of, have the results of the financial call (regarding use of war chest) been published yet? I've been working with @DanielL and haven't hit the news sites yet.

No idea. I did not take a look at that.
$2,65 per dividend and quarter

@gentmatt, were you talking to me before?

Yeah.
I edited your post in order to make the screenshot smaller.

Yes, I'm sorry about the images
but during daytime I have to work on a very limited Windows PC

That's just because the iPhone has a super-high resolution.

3:37 PM
so no access to any tools for cropping images to a decent size
but if I understand correctly, you can do so by using the SE website?

No, I was speaking of the Preview.app.
Go to Tools -> Adjust size.

oh yeah, right

@jaberg $2,65 per dividend and quarter

bud, I was saying, I don't have a Mac at my disposal during the day :)

You're not the only one:)

3:38 PM
by the way, are you from Belgium? :)

Germany!

ah :)
I thought so because 'Gent' is a town in Belgium

Haha!
My name is supposed to be an abbreviation of: gentleman and matthias

haha!
that's creative
by the way, congrats on leading the great contest!

Thanks. You're doing good too.
I need more answers with 6 upvotes tough. They're hard to get.

3:41 PM
Yep
question though, your shares, have they been clicked 5 times?
tough*
nope, it was though :)

Apparently yes, @ NathanGreenstein said that shared links will only show up then.
I did not know that I have such nice followers :)

by different IP's I assume?

In fact, I did not ask anybody specifically to click my links.

haha :-)

@Michiel Not sure.

3:43 PM
that's great!

@gentmatt Thanks

@jaberg I'd post a link, but my source is German.

@gentmatt Hard indeed. I'm surprised I've landed three of them. They aren't easy to come by!

@gentmatt I'll get there. No worries.

@gentmatt Threw a few up, not on twitter, will put some more up tonight. The more I actively try to acheive the challenge levels the more I have misgivings over the promotion format.

3:56 PM
@DanielL Wow! You actually got all four already (i just looked)! I'm still hanging at two.

Does anybody kow how long it takes for the contest overview to update?
@DanielL howla, you only need some more 2's and you're good to go! I'm so jalous

It's fairly rapid every few minutes.
I might hit the 6vote answer target, am less hopeful on shares tho.
the rest is largely done and simply - the large number of 2+ votes is a matter os endurance rather than particularly stellar answers.
Of course there will be hell to pay if someone has a mystery downvote attack by a sock puppet. These are the potential pitfalls of the format

@stuffe what do you mean by sock puppet?

Nice edit to the comment stream on the Markdown/Email question. Do I have you to thank @DanielL?
@Michiel Sock Puppet is a fraudulent account used to game, or just attack, the system.

4:04 PM
Haha, Hilarious!

That's a sock puppet.
A puppet made of a sock.

It's sometimes used so that a "legitimate" user can carry out an argument with himself. Imagine that user having a conversation with the sock-puppet.
I deny all rumors that I am @stuffe's sockpuppet identity. ;)

Who are we to believe you? ;)

What do I care, I'm inanimate hosiery.
2

I'm soooo glad that I can trigger the dictionary pop-up using three-finger-tap.
I've never heard the words "inanimate hosiery" before.
If I were on a PC, it would take me three minutes to under stand your comment ;)

4:12 PM
@jaberg Oh, thanks!! (extreme sarcasm)
@jaberg Apparently Kyle and I are one person.

@daviesgeek Extreme sarcasm is my business.
And I am here to serve.

LOL. We had fun last night before you showed up.
You saw what that was in response to, right?

Wow. I don't know how to take that.
;)

@jaberg I'm not saying that you ruined all the fun, just that we had fun. Is that what you're taking about?

@jaberg Yes, I did some purging. And I put words into your mouth (edited your comment) to make it coherent in the absence of all context.

4:16 PM
GM'ing @DanielL
Oh, and @bmike.
Though I suppose it's not exactly morning where you guys are...

@DanielL I totally got that. My thanks was sincere—it's a much better way of approaching the debugging issues.

@daviesgeek Genetically Modified. Is that how you splice kyle and davies up to make one uber geek?

Something like that...

Don't be surprised. He's just a vampire, that's all.
Jan 31 at 19:57, by Daniel
@KyleCronin so you're admitting that Daviesgeek is really your secret identity :-)
@DanielL Which Automator script is this room for?

Dude, you're re-living January. Bad enough it's happening on the site.

@jaberg It was funny.
(search helps too)
just search "vampire" and you'll come up with it. :-)

A: Insert code blocks in the body of emails

Daniel LThe magic behind the formatting on StackExchange is a great perl script called Markdown. Download it, and double-click the resulting Markdown_1.0.1.zip file. Then, in terminal, type chmod a+x ~/Downloads/Markdown_1.0.1/Markdown.pl sudo cp ~/Downloads/Markdown_1.0.1/Markdown.pl /usr/local/bin/ ...

@DanielL Awesome! I wish you could get that in GMail.

@jaberg You came off as sincere, FWIW. I didn't think you were complaining.
Well, you can if you use Mail.app as your interface for Gmail (via IMAP).

@DanielL I know, but I don't always check it on the same computer/desktop.
So I have to use the web interface
Whoops
I better go. I need to get my day started ;-)

@DanielL Passive-aggressive isn't something I'm accused of on a regular basis. ;)
And here I was just thinking of calling it quits for the day. I don't like Mondays.

5:01 PM
@michiel: pixlr.com
@Michiel: There's also croply.com

Welcome back, Jason. It's been a while

Hey Jason. Welcome to the madness.

5:25 PM
Wow, I almost stuck my foot in my mouth in an edit. I was about to claim that Speakable Items was deprecated. Yet there it is, right in the Speech pane of Lion. Shows you how much I use that feature.

I almost did the same. I was so sure it was WireTap Pro that I actually answered with those 2 words, and only went and fact checked after it stopped me from using that as an answer as it was too short.

@stuffe I recognized the icon right away. Had to do a little digging to remember the official name for the feature. After I posted I thought to mention that it was not a current feature—but caught myself with a "Quicksilver" for speech just before I posted the edit.

@LoïcWolff Thanks for the edit!

You are such a show-off with your screenshots. I give up. I'm going outside. I hate you all. ;)

This was quite interesting. Both @LoïcWolff and I were editing my post at the same time. When I saved it, both were applied at once.

5:31 PM
@gentmatt You can only imagine the fun we mods have with locking issues like that and flags pop up.

@jaberg Me? I did not have any screenshot in my last answer.

@jaberg I see stars...

Hey @JasonSalaz

@gentmatt No, my evil sock-puppet twin brother from another mother—and good (internet) friend— @stuffe. We just posted simultaneous answers to a question. I left mine be. He followed up with multiple screenshots, official Apple documentation, etc.

@jaberg Lol! I admire your selflessness - that's a good thing.

5:35 PM
I like seeing all the new users lately. Some I've heard of, some not... apple.stackexchange.com/a/44483/5472

A: How can I achieve auto mounting AFP shared drives in OS X?

MikeTRoseYou can put aliases to the remote volumes in your Login Items folder.

He even has my microphone listed in his Speech recognition pane. What more proof do you need @gentmatt?

@jaberg Not one-upmanship, I thought it was the only answer.

@gentmatt I can't compete, so I upvoted his answer. ;)

@bmike I like how some of them already have avatars. I did not like Gravatar in the beginning, but not anymore.

@stuffe :P

5:38 PM
Hello @jmlumpkin!

Hey there @jmlumpkin - How are your iPad hunting skills shaping up?

As in to get a new one, already have one :) Got it in the mail Friday :)

@jaberg honest!

@jaberg @stuffe Let me see the answer you guys are talking about.

@stuffe Dude, relax.

5:40 PM
As for the challenge, not really even started. Really hope to do something towards it, just have to do the 'real' job first :)

Q: What app/feature/software is this microphone image from?

MarkTapWhat is this microphone image from. It appeared on my friend's MacBook and she can't figure it out. Thanks so much!

or apple.stackexchange.com/q/44473/9495 if you are feeling generous ;)

Hi @gentmatt and @bmike

We were working on answering the same question. You did a better, or at least more thorough, job. (Though I didn't notice the screenshots initially, but maybe that's because I was stuck in the throws of my own edit.) It's not a problem.

WOOO. It's really fun seeing all the apps and which ones used API that scale effortlessly and which don't.

@jaberg You said that you could drag the /Applications folder to the terminal.

5:43 PM
Oops, I clicked the link. ;)

What about any other folder? Did that work before Lion aswell?
I'm asking, because I found this quote: "The Terminal in Lion now supports drag and drop for creating new Terminal sessions targeting specific directories." macosxautomation.com/lion/terminal.html

@gentmatt I meant @stuffe and I. I only made a comment to yours--wasn't worth an answer.
Any folder. Any file. You get the path.

@bmike whats this in relation too?

That's "new session". But you've been able to drag an object into an existing session for quite some time.

Ok. I guess that's it then :)

5:46 PM
At @stuffe I also note that while I'm great, you're very great. ;)

(Actually, I was quite sure that I have been dragging folders into the terminal before. But not for a new session.)
@jaberg homo sapiens - we're just the best carbon based species out there

@jaberg Verily ;)

We definitely need more women here.... ;)

I think at one upvotes worth it's early to call it
#brainstfirstbeautysecond

@stuffe Do you think it's a guy?

5:53 PM
@gentmatt What gave you that impression?

" it's early to call it" - i guess I don't fully understand what you meant here
Just forget it...

Triple tap no help with sentences & cultural references ;)

@stuffe Feature request
In general, technology should make more sense of contextual information. Siri is getting there.

I'm with @stuffe. Based on the up voted answer, it's too early to call. (Meaning it's too early to decide if Alexandra will become a valuable member of the community.) But I join my other brother @gentmatt in being optimistic.

Ah, ok. Thanks for clarifying that, @jaberg. Well, I hope that there will be some more active women here someday.
BTW: Did you know that women generally have a lot more profile views?

6:00 PM
@gentmatt Regardless, you'll have much better odds by going outside.
Dori is kind of famous, at least in Mac/ACN community.
But you did get me to click on that other profile.
Alright. I need to find a link to share to complete my Use Different merit badge requirement for the contest. Suggestions?

@jaberg Are you talking about an actual badge on stackexchange?

@gentmatt No. Just the requirements for the base-level contest entry.

Ok.
It depends on who you want to address.
If they've never heard of AskDifferent, I would share famous questions.
If they are programmers, I'd share tips and tricks.
You could also search for questions with the tag <tag>hidden-features</tag>.
(Ups. How do I post tags in chat?)

Q: Can I safely charge my iPhone 4 overnight on a regular basis?

DonnniegoatFirst time caller, long time listener: I've seen this question asked on a few other sites but with no "definitive" answers. The Apple website on iPhone batteries is ambiguous, at best, and the closest it comes to answering the question is saying that a monthly deep cycle is a good idea. (refer...

6:13 PM
I went with Make 'em laugh!

You actually posted three answers to that question!

Yes, I know. And showed restraint when I stopped short of posting a sketchup rendering of a desk custom-designed to solve the problem and my real answer.

Dori was a mod, then was hired by SE, so it's understandable she has a lot of profile views

When read quickly, and without glasses you might think you were seeing an ad for Nathan's new book on Master/Slave Dialogs.

7:08 PM
The iPad Challenge ticker in our profile is awesome. Kudos to whoever did that.

jrg
Speaking of Dori, has anyone seen her around? She's dropped off the face of the earth from what I've seen... :\

7:33 PM
@jrg late last year she and Stack Exchange parted ways, and she hasn't been around since

jrg
Dang. Fair enough.

@stuffe Select a whole phrase first.

7:48 PM
How cute ;)
The following questions already have four close votes:

Q: Looking for a good FPS on Mac OS X Lion

CoyoteI'm looking for a good FPS (read like COD4) on Mac OS X Lion. I'm particular about this point as some of the old games don't install or even don't run at all even when copied from a previous install due to the missing rosetta layer in Lion. I already own all the steam play FPSs on steam, Modern ...

Q: What does the term File's Owner mean?

Vishwas GagraniWhat is meant by "File's Owner"? The XIB interface says it's UIApplication. But why it's named so? Which file it owns? I understand MVC to some extent, but I never heard something called File's Owner: what it has to do with controller of the application?

8:11 PM
EL&U chat isn't being very forgiving, so I'll repost this here even though it's even more off-topic than we often are.
The word "set" is famous for having the most definitions depending on context. I've noticed that "pass" (up, over, away, through…) and "put" (up, away, down…) also have a lot. What are some others that you all have noticed?

@jaberg Could you elaborate on Dori's fame please? I know she was a community manager working remotely for stack exchange but didn't get to know her history before she left that position.

Heading for another rep cap, and not even had any accepts today :)

@stuffe Check out the last picture i posted.

8:28 PM
Yeah, but no accept! ;)
Woo! And on that note, I just rep capped without any accepts :)

I like this trend:

Who is that?
2

me :)
nothing like the possibility of winning stuff to light a fire under you to contribute

:)

sadly, I lost the fourth-place spot in rep a few days ago to gentmatt, and I'll probably never see it again (at least, not unless I pass Nathan)

8:36 PM
I made top 20 and was very pleased, think 15 now, but a large gap to the top 10. Maybe in a few months, the few directly above me seem low traffic of late.

@stuffe "You are so great! You are so very great!" ;) It brings a big smile on my face.

Nice to see gratitude, makes you want to answer more!

Yes, I think it's important to thank for answers.
@KyleCronin What app is that?

Screenshot with an arrow thrown in via preview

@stuffe yep, you got it

8:43 PM
Ok.

though I would expect nothing less from someone so great

:)
I prefer both the design of the arrow and the color to that what Skitch uses.
#firstworldadmirations

@bmike Not sure what to elaborate on. She's a published author and was a presence on a number of "professional" online communities I've been a part of. I thought she was an ACN member, but I may be confused on that one. I know our paths have crossed, but can't say for certain where.
@bmike Perhaps the best testimony I can make as to her pre-existing fame is that when I first noticed the name Dori on AD, and without any knowledge of her roll here as a community manager (today is the first I'd learned of that) I said to myself, I bet that's Dori Smith. Beyond that, it's a blur. What a long strange trip it's been.

I know it's a bit selfish, but I wish SE hadn't hired her, because when they did she stopped participating in AD
and when she and SE parted ways, it was not, shall we say, amicable, so I doubt we'll ever see her here again
more bars in more places

9:11 PM
I have zero bars and 3G right now.
The irony? It's ridiculously fast/responsive. Seriously.
I love trains already.
And yes, I took a screenshot.
I'm also not on Sprint, I'm "extended". So, a big thank you to the nameless "extended" carrier for kicking so much ass.

@JasonSalaz Yeah, trains are nice. No alcohol, and gravity is 3X normal
@JasonSalaz that would probably be Verizon

@stuffe Man, you are climbing up really fast!
You jumped 3 places in about 3 days.

he really knows his stuffe
4

LOL
@stuffe How do you pronounce "stuffe"?

"stuff"

9:22 PM
Ok, that's what I was thinking, but wasn't sure

not stuffy, not stoof, not stewfy

I always liked "stoo-fay" ;)

:-)
"Stuffy" was my second guess

No alcohol? Blasphemer, I'm drinking right now!

@daviesgeek on a streak this last week. lost 50+ plus through rep cap today! and still no accepts

9:23 PM
@JasonSalaz how can you have alcohol if there aren't any bars?

@stuffe WOW!

actually, closer to 80 points!

@KyleCronin That's why gentlemen carry pocket flasks.
@stuffe I've noticed a decline in accepts. Not sure the "I came for an iPad crowd" gets it.

I am 3 shares away from level 2 ! Wow

We really need a contest that encourages more voting...
I need to go and get my school done so I can work...

9:29 PM
agreed, so long as it doesn't promote excessive voting, or voting for the sake of voting without merit

@KyleCronin Right.
Voting needs to be encouraged more.

Apparently the difference between great and very great is three votes. (Based on a sample size of two questions).

@jaberg Sounds right.
Even though 2 questions is not much...

@daviesgeek Nothing sounds about it. It's the per question vote difference on the two similar and simultaneous answers that @stuffe and I have competed on today. (As always, it isn't a competition. No wagering.)
Now didn't Jason tell me I should go make a drink…

@jaberg I don't think anyone needs to tell you that

9:34 PM
Screenshots win votes. Period.
3

that's true
it's like a secret weapon

@stuffe That's an excellent point. And considering I'm the guy who blogged about the screenshot workflow…
But I don't like adding them for their own sake.

Now if one more person would upvote my gimp answer, then I'm done (bar down votes) with the 6votes requirements in the promotion.

So it goes. I'm complaining in good fun.

It's the thousand word thing. Plus it does draw the eye.

9:37 PM
Sorry, already up voted that one. Can't help you.

@stuffe the contest goes for three weeks. you'll get there, don't worry, be patient

Be interesting how GIMP works out when X11 is deprecated in Mountain Lion...
@KyleCronin Yeah, but the urge to check is maddening!
I'll soon get bored of that when it comes to watching my failure to share links at the prescribed interest level
Oooh, the OP provided vote 6 - and my first accept of the day :) That's 75 points lost to repcap on that question alone!

Okay, by way of experiment I just added a largely gratuitous screenshot to my "Pixelmator" answer. :)
@stuffe The GIMP needs to be locked into a basement and beaten with chains. I feel the same way about the Gnu Image Manipulation Program.

seems to be working!

I suspect there may have been a localized effect at work, but I'm going to plug screenshots into my next five or six answers. ;)
Plus, who wouldn't cast a vote for my nephew in his Chris Craft Coaster Cart Derby car.
Wait until I pull out the photos of my niece…

9:46 PM
That message actually went through eventually? Heh. I'm joking only I don't really drink.
But they do have alcohol and wine on the train.

@JasonSalaz That's okay, I drink enough for both of us.

Besides, there's plenty of bar(s) up and down the stairs.
No wifi though, bleh.

@JasonSalaz When I'm in a train, I always setup my phone as a hotspot. The name is "bro, get your own wifi".

Q: Handbrake Settings for New iPad (3rd Gen)

AJCWhat tweaks can be made to the existing presets for iPad output in Handbrake to optimize for new high resolution of the iPad 3rd Generation?

Interesting question—I don't think I'd want to bump my video files sizes up (for viewing on a 10" screen) but I give him credit for coming up with something different.

Well 1080p is the limit.

9:51 PM
Even is the answer is "none" I think

The default settings of handbrake a quite good for my use.

I think the ipad 2 could view 1080p (scaled down appropriately) and that remains the max

I suspect 1080p is the "official" limit, but it might be possible a third-party app could edge out a bit more

If you want to do really good compressen, you need to use other software - imo.

@stuffe That would be my answer. This guy is flooding us with (what I would call) so-so questions.

9:51 PM
Ha. There is a passenger with MiFi next door, but I didn't ask.

I nearly jumped in, it's very similar to a recent q I answered, but I'm all answered out.

Q: iPhone 4/4S Rattle

AJCI've noticed that when I tap near the top of the back of my iPhone 4S, there is a audible rattling noise. I've tried this on someone else's iPhone 4, and it is the same. It seems to be coming from the area around the rear-facing camera lens and flash. Does anyone know the part responsible for ...

I've seen 720p movie files which were only 750MB in size.
I cannot manage that with Handbrake. :(

@stuffe Even bad screenshots tend to get significant vote increases. It would be interesting to analyze the voting per length, per link and per image.

@gentmatt You've done more research than I. I used Handbrake until I switched to iVi Pro—because it does auto-lookups of metadata for movies and TV. Convenience trumps file size.

9:54 PM
A great picture can have big effects.

@bmike I'm going to be doing my own informal proof of that over the next few days.
Previously I was reserving screen shots for posts I genuinely thought would benefit from them, but now the lens cap is off.

5 (technically 6) of the 10 posts I've made over the last few days have images in them

@jaberg I think any inclusion that isn't gratuitous reaps benefit, for you in terms of rep, and for users in terms of clarity and accessibility of questions/answers

Oh my god, I've assimilated. I just channeled Jeff Atwood in a comment.

A: How can I make my 27" iMac and my 27" Thunderbolt display the same height?

jabergArs Technica's Eric Bangerman has solved this problem…twice: via Ars gear: 2008 triple-headed "Harpertown" Mac Pro

Beautiful :)

you have 3 answers on that question

@KyleCronin I hear that a lot.
They are three different answers.
Actually, Kyle may have just proven that he and @daviesgeek have mergered—Matthew said the same thing to me earlier.

if we merged, I would have remembered saying it earlier and not needed to bring it up again

@KyleCronin Exactly the type of thing we'd expect an uber-geek conglomerate to say. ;)

honestly, props for your effort with those answers, but I like the multi-monitor mount answer the best

@KyleCronin I don't disagree. And I confess, I did go a little overboard with my riffing that morning. (You can blame it on the company I was keeping.) But I did provide plausible answers, even as I was laughing inside.
And if I ever do get my iMac, I may mill an aluminum riser/iDevice dock because I actually think it's a cool idea.

@jaberg You started it ;)

I've been thinking about designs for a combo-dock that could accommodate an iPad or my iPhone (in it's Otterbox case). Add an iMac to the "dock" and you've got a triple threat treat.
@stuffe I was biting my tongue the entire time because all my brain could think was Ii's an inch! Cope!

I did particularly enjoy some of the suggestions that never made the grade as answers...

And we have a winner, and the winner is GIMP.
@stuffe I try to be respectful of our community, and that you all seemingly tolerate me.
