@Beofett I flagged this meta post because I believe it mentions the wrong user, but it hasn't been addressed yet. So I'm asking you here. Balanced Mama hasn't been around here for a while; I'm guessing another person should be mentioned?
@TorbenGundtofte-Bruun I put a note on your flag, actually (but who ever looks at those?)
Balanced Mama is the correct person in that post, afaik.
She was, until that post, still a moderator.
It's just that she... disappeared. She said she had some personal commitments that would tie her up for a month or so, but we haven't seen or heard from her since March.
I don't know if Tim ever heard anything from her, or just decided that it had been long enough.
As I see you peek in and out @TorbenGundtofte-Bruun - what do you think the right thing to do is when we have a new user who goes through and answers a ton of questions, who is not quite up to standards in almost any of them? @Beofett has handled a few flags and helped, but I feel like almost every answer needs commenting on - but on the other hand, it feels like piling on.
I feel odd no-actioning some of the answers that i'd really like to suggest more improvements on, but after 6 or 7 ...
if they've had time to see your comments about quality and haven't responded and are continuing without any alteration, it might be something for one of the site mods to contact them about, depending on how bad it is
most people, when they find out there is a problem will either get angry and leave or will take it well and seek assistance once they know there are people that want to help
There was some back and forth on one of the answers (that I felt didn't answer the question), and some more positive thanks for feedback, so hopefully it's not too much :)
it's only when they realize there is a problem but keep going without seeking help and basically act oblivious to the whole community that it's a major issue
