@Kulfy no problem at all - my fault for being clueless when we found the first one that they got undeleted. I'm glad I learned some stuff from that whole episode :)
This answer is similar to the top one but seems different enough not to be a duplicate answer to me. Is it actually useless? The comment suggests it was deleted for lacking detailed instructions

@Zanna Whatever was going on with those posts and that situation, I'm pretty sure it fell under "exceptional conditions that should not normally happen", so attending to it is the sort of thing that is appropriate to ask a moderator to do anyway. @Kulfy

@EliahKagan looks like that should not have happened, so I undeleted it
@EliahKagan yes, indeed, thanks!

This is not a question, since I don't expect you'd be able to answer it--not in connection with that situation anyway. But it occurs to me that if destroyed accounts support annotations (mod-only information on a profile, a feature I have read of on Meta Stack Exchange) then it might be good to annotate any account that was destroyed appropriately but under circumstances that might later appear to have been a mistake. (But maybe it already was, or maybe the feature was unavailable in this context.)
@Zanna I'm wondering what made it appear NAA and if it should be edited.
It's probably just fine as it is though.
I think this edit should be rejected. The only change that really improves the post is the addition of code formatting on the command. That's just a formatting improvement, and I think it's okay even in a blockquote. But everything else is sort of neutral, except that the link is shortened to "here", and thus made less accessible.
That also goes beyond mere formatting, which isn't really appropriate since it's a blockquote of another post.

1:16 AM
@EliahKagan slightly annoyingly, deleted/destroyed accounts get unlinked for everyone, but it is possible to find the account if you know how to do it and the information about the destruction for that case is all already there, though it's not like a normal annotation

1:29 AM
@EliahKagan many things appear NAA to the person who flagged it, but most of those things are actually answers by the usual standards

About spelling, does it need to be accurate according to "American English" or "British English" For example what is correct: color, colour or both

@SasukeUchiha Either is fine. Try to resist "correcting" those haha I find it hard myself

@Zanna I just edited one. :( oh well. Atleast I also formatted a code block in it so it might be fine

I reviewed your suggestion and restored the original spelling

3:22 AM
@Zanna thanks
Don't you think that there should be a reply button in comments? I went through my responses in the profile and found a bunch of replies to my comments that I had ignored as they didn't use @username to reply
I also started a meta post about this a while ago but...

3:55 AM
@SasukeUchiha yes I do.
@SasukeUchiha bonus points if you can spot the dialect a post uses when you need to add stuff to it and maintain the same style hahaha
Seems the weird wifi issue I had a few days ago is back
I may not be online much today

@Zanna I flagged the post according to the answer but no mod added the status-review tag. :( ¯_(ツ)_/¯

@SasukeUchiha your flag was declined, but I'm not sure it's still true that employees check posts tagged
I'll look into it. May take a while though

@EliahKagan I'm not sure about this other one. Shortening the link to "website" is the same situation, but dividing it into separate paragraphs is (in this case) an improvement to the post.
I'm not sure if it should be rejected, or approved with an edit.
@Natty tp

5:53 AM
@EliahKagan I improved that one, but did I actually fix the problem?
I rejected the one you mentioned earlier

@EliahKagan Closed...

@Zanna Seems okay. I'm not totally sure the OP really used that specific linked page, since they're describing booting problems but that page is about writing the ISO.

Is that question answerable?

@pomsky It has been closed by a mod. I have voted to reopen.
@Zanna If I was aware that the questions were deleted on purpose, I would have never brought them to the attention. @EliahKagan

That was not obvious at all. I assumed it was not the case until terdon pointed out the user was destroyed.
@Kulfy I don't think it is a dupe because it's not asking about the reason...

8:30 AM
@Zanna Yeah. Already voted to reopen.

You said so. Sorry for my pointless comment. I was just expressing the support I would, in the past, have instead expressed by voting

OT/unclear Also has a misplaced answer.
misplaced answer If followed may cause driver issues for other WiFi adapters such as Intel, Broadcom, Qualcomm, etc.

9:20 AM
That's probably not obvious to most people, so it may be worthwhile to comment if you can explain (or link to information about) the problem.
In particular, while that doesn't seem like a good first approach to me, I don't see why it's particularly likely to cause problems with drivers for other adapters.

The answer was posted by the same person who posted this Q&A. It may cause issues with other adapters if other wireless devices tries to use installed Realtek's WiFi driver.
That's still NAA/misplaced answer if we ignore the driver issues with other devices.

Unfortunately it got closed. I'm voting to reopen.

IMO this answer shouldn't have been deleted since it was posted OP themselves.

Also, if it wasn't posted by the OP, it shouldn't have been deleted either.

@Kulfy It shouldn't have been, but looking at the bigger picture (i.e. OP repeatedly posting low quality Q&As and answers), I don't mind :p

12:41 PM
My view is that either the question should be deleted even though it's only been several hours, or the answer should be undeleted even though the question will almost certainly not be improved to the point where it will be kept. But I'm not sure which.

Maybe someone can request the information needed on this question? This person doesn't seem to realise that their answer is hardware-specific
they posted the same answer there (as well as here)
and karel has tidied it up < (this is related to the current topic) ^ | ^^

@pomsky I initially thought thought the answer has absolutely no connection with the question (starting wireless device vs installing kernel module), but maybe OP just failed to express properly in words.

@Zanna Oh, I see. That makes better sense out of the deletions.

yeah, they got flagged but when I saw them I just downvoted and left it. Not really flaggable imho

but are they really saying in that answer that the answer is unnecessary on Ubuntu?
scratches head

I only flagged this answer considering their other answers are on their own questions and I think they don't really matter much since as they currently stands, they are of very low quality and seems deletable.
@Zanna Seems true.
Wifi drivers are preinstalled in Ubuntu, so you don't have to worry.
One of their question wasn't really about Ubuntu
@Natty tp

Maybe we are giving it more effort than it deserves at this point. Everything they have posted is either deleted or will get roomba'd unless they salvage it enough to persuade people to reopen, and the system has helpfully banned them from asking and answering for now

1:12 PM
I have commented on their post. Let's see if they take any action or post another question.
I'm not sure if they would consider taking any action since I also left comments on their two, now deleted, answers but they haven't replied/took any action. Instead they posted a new Q&A

@Kulfy thanks a lot! great job

Yup.

Should we convert it to a comment?

IMO, no. People may overlook comments but not answers

That's true... But it's an exact copy of the link included in the answer.

I believe it doesn't matter as long as source is cited and essential points/commands are included in quote formatting

@Kulfy what is it promoting?

@Zanna Following the first link i end up on some russian site, no clue what it is about as i can't read or write russian, nor speking it

Disguised spams generally insert links randomly in the question body plagiarised from other sites.
If you remove the site and read, the question may make sense, generally

@Ravexina since closing as a duplicate seems unwarranted, leaving that answer as it is there seems much better than converting it to a comment (with, presumably just the part before the quoted section, which would be hard to read in comment form). Aside from people needing to follow the link and find the part being mentioned, the linked post may be reorganised so that "workaround 2" is no longer headed that way, or changed in other ways (I think it's unlikely to be deleted) that make it...
harder to use as a solution for this other slightly different problem

Instead of "it", "this" would be perfectly adequate for me, or you could make the whole message a hyperlink or just paste the URL without any formatting at the end of your message

Is this answer technically correct, especially the "windows base file are same since windows xp" part?
^^ Anybody knows what Windows are up to nowadays?
The answer as a whole looks quite opinion-based (not claiming it's absolutely wrong) to me too as it's not backed up by any hard data or evidence.

7:35 PM
TBH nobody wants to write kernel code from scratch. AFAIK Windows kernel is maintained may be more than Linux kernel because of being closed source and employees looking after it.
I do agree that there's no evidence as of now in the answer to support "windows base file are same since windows xp"

@Kulfy Yeah, also don't think it's objectively sound to claim "while window is resource hungry , Ubuntu needs very less ram to work", it depends on so many variables.
Huge difference in RAM use depending on the underlying DE.

For example, startup services, Desktop Environment, etc.

yeah
@Kulfy I'm also baffled by this comment. It seems to me the commenter claims Windows does not run programs in RAM (as opposed to Ubuntu)!
Can you think of any other way to interpret this comment?

7:54 PM
I interpret this comment as, "When there's enough RAM, the operating system including packages, their files and services reside in RAM instead of HDD/SSD."
Still I'm not sure what they actually mean.
