VTR This is a niche question that I've been waiting for a long time for someone to ask so that I could answer it. It was closed for being a duplicate of "How do I install Ubuntu?" which is specific for full installations on a hard drive and this question is specific to bootable live USB media. In addition the OP commented about it right after the duplicate link was posted and 4 of the close voters disregarded the OP's comment.

Similar situation here (less severe, though still bad) - the edit changes the internal formatting of the output of a command, causing to make a wrong claim about what the command's output was.

I think I was a bit generous to "improve" the edit suggestion on this post but I found it really confusing and in need of editing... but I'm still not sure that ... should actually be there. Is there such a boot parameter? Did they mean to indicate that there were more? Or was that just some extra junk that would get ignored?
