@Natty tp But it has since been edited and is now an answer, so it should not be flagged or deleted.
@Natty tp
@Natty tp Borderline. One might consider it to be advising the OP to put the -R after the username. (That will never help, but wrong answers aren't NAA for being wrong.) But I think that's just introductory material, and that the post is a comment speculating about what might be wrong while not proposing even a partial solution.
I don't think this edit improves the post. The capitalization is good, but the main affected (and, going by the edit summary, purpose) of the edit is to replace phrasing that is already grammatical (but that the editor thinks is not?) with an unnecessary rewording and to remove italics that are already being used reasonably.
no improvement - "says" is correct here and "reading" (when used in this specific way) is wrong or at least very confusing; the quoted text in the UI really is two separate lines and this edit joins them; and making the image link say "this image" is hardly an improvement
^^ In hindsight, I should've clicked Reject and Edit on that one.

no improvement - that shouldn't have blockquote formatting

@SmokeDetector I deleted that (instead of flagging it), but I don't think the red flags need to be cleared

If Mod don't clear red flag , it's mean declined ?

@Shree since I deleted the post, all the flags (3 spam, 1 NAA, and 1 rude/abusive) were marked helpful. Because it has validated red flags, the post will be hidden, although not locked. The post is not spam, but it could be considered R/A. Clearing the red flags would make them all disputed. But as it is now, the author won't get any penalty anyway because the post was deleted by vote, not by red flags, and at least one of the red flags was reasonable.

@Kulfy *sigh* they did get a hint about it and they clearly didn't read your links
thanks for dealing with it
but still, edit rejection messages are not at all discoverable

@Zanna I won't be responsible for red flags then :)

Wait, is there something red-flaggable about the answer?
I think the use of "our" qualifies as adequate disclosure.
That answer is not very high quality, and it should be expanded so it is self-contained, but I don't think it's red-flaggable.

@EliahKagan yes indeed
when I said they didn't read the links, I was referring to their now deleted comment
> @Kulfy: your patience and dedication appreciated as well! next time it may be worth a quick look at the lib readme or code to see that it in fact is no spam and real enhancements than to be too quick on the trigger ;) but I can see the point you're making if a moderator is not able to perform the above for good reasons. – Andreas Dietrich 40 mins ago

@Zanna Thank you for deleting my comments too. I would be taking them down myself once their comments got nuked. Also, since they know their edits were rejected, I assume they should've read the rejection messages.

@Zanna Oh, never mind then.

1:08 PM
@EliahKagan No. Actually I explained why should they disclosed their affiliation.

I knew you would remove your orphaned comments, so I should have told you that I had done so to save you checking
@EliahKagan sorry for the confusion

The comment Zanna mentioned was in response to that comment.
Here is the conversation if you're interested
@Zanna No problem.

@Natty tp

I mean, it doesn't matter how awesome their code is, they still have to say it is their code, or it risks getting treated no better than utterly evil things

> affiliation must be disclosed; if it's not, it's technically spam. It might be possible to remedy, depending on whether the user is open to it or not, but the posts are still spam until fixed.

that's what I'm talking about

I interpreted their comment as "RTFM to know about the affiliation" :)

scratches head

(unrelated) seems wrong answer
no affiliation disclosed so far and I think they are neither interested in doing so after reading this post and comments.
Should it be red flagged?

I have upvoted the solution here based on the follwing reasons: — Vlad Jun 22 at 13:28
@Kulfy I would just edit it

@Zanna Looks like an incomplete comment. The post does have an upvote on Jun 22.
@Zanna Is adding affiliation by third person acceptable?

I keep scrolling to see Related (for me, the most useful thing in the whole sidebar) but nothing is under it
@Kulfy I didn't hear anything changed about it

terrible bug

Not couple of days. It was reported on Jul 9. o.O

oh. Thanks
I have been noticing it for some time, but it just reached the stage of annoying me haha

Perhaps in the mean time there is a SEDE query that can be used?

to find related questions?

@Zanna Yes.
I do not claim that this query would be trivial to write.

can't imagine how to do that haha

How does SE decide that some question is related to some question? Any criteria?

great question

Q: How are "related" questions selected?

sharptoothFor almost every question there's a list of "related" questions on the right. How are those questions selected? Is it based solely on tags? Can I do anything if I see a question on the list that is really not related to prevent it from being incorrectly listed?

And it turns out to be an already answered question. :)
