@SwiftPushkar @Pandya All the parade?!!! Great. ЁЯЗ│ЁЯЗкЁЯЗ│ЁЯЗкЁЯЗ│ЁЯЗк
What was the theme of Gujarat in the parade? @Pandya
@SreeCharan Thanks!
@Pandya - Ok , Karnataka tablo was "Shiva" , Guj - Kutch ,dance
@SreeCharan It was about traditio of Kutchh

06:34
@Pandya - yes , 7 sisters ,they said in commentary.тШ║
I've not seen MP, AP, UttraKhanda etc.
Happy Republic Day!
@SwiftPushkar I think they should show/invove Haridwar/Ganga. From Uttrakhanda as it has very significance in Dharma (4 Dhaam etc)
@Pandya - May be they have shown it in past , but uttaranchal tablo was not there , also no AP & telengana
@SwiftPushkar Hmm.. yes.
@TheDestroyer Happy рдЧрдгрддрдиреНрддреНрд░ рджрд┐рд╡рд╕!

@SwiftPushkar You mean missiles?
@SreeCharan - Yes , but all weapons , like missiles , radars ,tanks , anti-aircraft guns , light fighter planes etc. Arjuna- Tank ,
@SwiftPushkar Oh.. I didn't understand helicopters.

Q: Tripurari Pournima festival Story And Its Significance?

SwiftPushkarThe other names of Tripurari Pournima are Tripuri Purnima , Karthika Pounima , Deva Deepawali or Deva Diwali, or Tripurari Purnima. My questions are - Why Do We Celebrate Karthika or Tripurari pournima Festival. What's the stories associated with it and in what diffetent ways it's celibrate...

09:38
@SwiftPushkar Even your answer doesn't say exactly that Shiva destroyed Tripura on Kartika Pournami.
@TheDestroyer - yes , exactly , will try to find that ref . and will add that i answer :)
@Pandya I didn't get you.
@SwiftPushkar oh! I was not aware with your that post
@Pandya - its ok :)
09:46
@Pandya I didn't see @SwiftPushkar's post then.
Shall I delete my comment? @Pandya
@SreeCharan which one?
There is no mention of Pournami in your answer.! Where is it mentioned that Shiva did tripura dahana on Kartika Pournami? — Sree Charan 37 mins ago
@SreeCharan @SwiftPushkar @Pandya See this question too
3
Q: What is complete authentic story of demon Tripurasura?

The DestroyerAccording to this wikipedia page of Tripurasura, Tripurasura was killed by Lord Shiva because he followed a Adharmic Religion which was created by Lord Vishnu to lure him to the path of Adharma. After Lord Shiva killing demon Tripurasura, those shaven head religious teachers asked Lord Vishnu wha...

@SreeCharan It depends on how you consider the question.
i think tripura dahan is very ancient story , people assigned kartik maas pornima to that incident later on so , there are no exact ref. abt.Shiva destroyed Tripura on Kartika Pournama @TheDestroyer - yes :)
09:53
@SwiftPushkar Shiva purana also doesn't Tripura Dahana occured on Kartika Pournami.
Tripura Dahana is mentioned in Vedas also. Shiva is described as Tripuranatakaaya in Sri rudram.
@TheDestroyer Yes.
@SwiftPushkar I think Tezz wrote an answer describing Tripura Dahana from Vedas.
@TheDestroyer - yes , while answering , i also extensively searched in puranas and on web , but could not found anything , so written answer according to various trustworthy sites.
I think the question should specifically be like "Where is mentioned in scriptures that Tripura Dahan occurred on Kartik Purnima"
@SwiftPushkar Spiritual meaning is great. Tri = 3 Pura = city (ies) denote Satva, Rajas and Tamas. Destroying them is destroying 3 Gunas. Also, in kartika Masam especially on Kartika Pournami, we put "Deepam" with Cow Ghee which represents Knowledge to destroy "Tripura".
Light is knowledge.
09:57
@TheDestroyer Excellent!
@SwiftPushkar Still we should prefer puranas over those blogs or site.
@TheDestroyer - yes , very fine explanation , so these tripuras are inside us , and and everyone should try to destroy those gunas with shiv =truth
@Tezz's answer
3
A: How Lord Shiva became Tripurari?

TezzLord Shiva became Tripurai by destroying Three (Tri) cities (Pura) made up of iron gold and silver. YajurVeda Taittariya Samhita 6.2.3 mentions this story as: The Asuras had three citadels; the lowest was of iron, then there was one of silver, then one of gold. The gods could not conquer th...

@TheDestroyer yes now i have all the puranas and books i always write my answers from them , but in some cases like this , there is no choice except to write some answer without source ..
@SwiftPushkar Yeah. But main purpose of this site is to provide authentic scriptural sources.

@SwiftPushkar lol...
@SwiftPushkar I can give him a "retort" or "punch" but i avoid them mostly on this site. :P
@TheDestroyer (Btw, as I've not fully read similar story of Shiva Purana & Veda) Do those scripture (other than SB) describe/mention celebration by Devas like Srimad Bhagavat?
@TheDestroyer celebration...
@TheDestroyer - haha , its ok , any way , we can flag that , but lets wait , for 1-2 days . may be he will join :0
10:06
@SwiftPushkar I already flagged it. If the mods want to wait, they will delay in answering the flags.
@Pandya Yeah. Shiva Purana mentions Story of Tripura in 8 chapters. Rudra Samhita Yuddha Khanda chapter 4-12.
@SreeCharan - ok
@Pandya It mentions celebration but doesn't say when.
Like SB. Ok
@SwiftPushkar Already flagged as low quality.
@Pandya @The Does a low quality flag appear only while we flag first posts?
@SreeCharan I think some posts are automatically filtered to review queue based on length and nature of post.
@Pandya There's nothing to review. As i flagged as low quality, you were able to "recommend delete" but i can't do that as i flagged it as low quality.

A: Can flags send a post into the Low Quality Posts review queue?

Shog9As of July 2013, Very Low Quality flags automatically add the flagged post to the Low Quality review queue. As of April 2014, Not An Answer flags do the same. Each review task requires a minimum number of "Looks OK" reviews (2 on SO, 1 everywhere else) to be dequeued; this number increases by on...

Yes.
@TheDestroyer You can only vote for deletion as you have >4k rep. Low quality posts can be reviewed by only one.

@SreeCharan It's our duty to Greet fellow Vaishnavas with Shriman Naryana's name, btw I would like to know about the your profile image.
@SreeCharan @TheDestroyer ^^
@ChinmayaB Namaste
@ChinmayaB Coming to our discussion, me and Keshav had discussed many times about "Guna based Varnasrama Dharma " vs "Birth based Caste System". There's no conclusion. BTW, can we discuss this later? I have some work now.
10:37
@Pandya Namaskar.
@TheDestroyer Yeah Sure as the discussion would always be fruitless.
Btw here is the relevant part of Adi Shankaracharyas commentary on BG 4.13
I think @ChinmayaB was previously known as Creator. Right?
@Pandya Yeah
@Pandya He was/is creator. i'm destroyer. Only Preserver is missing. Haha..
@TheDestroyer Haha
@TheDestroyer Rofl :D good one
10:40
@ChinmayaB Who is Rofl?
Well I do believe in Preserver Sriman Naryana!
@ChinmayaB Thanks! New for me!
@Pandya Okay no mention. Btw what is your view on Caste system
@ChinmayaB Adi Shankara's commentary says it is based on Satva, Rajasica and tamasica.
13. The fourfold caste has been created by Me
according to the distribution of energies and actions;
though I am the author thereof, know Me as
non-agent and immutable.
The four castes (van.'as, lit., colours) have been created by
Me, Isvara, according to the distribution of energies (gunas)
and of actions. The energies are Sattva (goodness). Rajas
(foulness, activity), and Tamas (darkness). The actions of a
brahmawa ( priest ), in whom Sattva predominates, are
serenity, self-restraint, austerity, &c., (xviii. 42). The actions
Bhagavadgita with commentary of Adishankaracharya translated by A Mahadeva Sastry.
@TheDestroyer Yeah who denys that I am just saying that the Gunas are in turn based on body and birth.
10:44
@ChinmayaB Yes indeed. The one with the musical instrument is Annamayya aka annamacharya. He composed more than 32000 keerthanas on Lord Venkateshwara(not more than 12000 are available now). Lord was very pleased by his works. The child listening with enthusiasm is Lord Venkateshwara. The intention of the picture is to convey that the Lord waited like a child to listen to the songs of Annamayya.
@ChinmayaB I think Varna-Asharam system should be followed.
@Pandya Yeah Same here! I believe in strict following of Varna-Asharama Dharma.
@SreeCharan Magnificent,Beautiful, awesome... I knew that the picture had a deep meaning.
@ChinmayaB "the Gunas are in turn based on body and birth." I'm happy to see scriptural reference for that.
@ChinmayaB btw, your chat profile redirects to your account on AU.
@TheDestroyer Okay I will try my best fo get that.
10:47
@ChinmayaB Thanks...
Creator turned to yogi...
@SreeCharan Rajas to Sattva :D
I think one gets the bith-Varna according to his/her Guna and Karma.
@Pandya Yeah I use Ask Ubuntu.
@ChinmayaB I had also.
@Pandya Varna is different from Jati or Kula. We shouldn't mix all. "Ja" in "Jaati" refers birth. There's no such thing in Sanskrit word "Varna".
10:49
@Pandya Oh you are a software developer/Computer Science student??
Ok. Bye! I will talk to you Guys later.
@TheDestroyer Bye
@ChinmayaB no!
17 hours ago, by Sree Charan
@KeshavSrinivasan I think you may know the poem "Bhootam sarascha mahadahvaya bhattanatha..." written by Parasara bhattar. In that poem, Why didn't Parasara bhattar include Andal?
@ChinmayaB btw, do you know the reason behind this? ^^^
@SreeCharan I have no idea
@SreeCharan Keshav told me that you were initiated by Swami Chinnajeeyar acharya. What are the restrictions you have to follow after initiation?
10:56
@ChinmayaB Not very difficult. Just leading a sattvik way of life. After the initiation, 1. We have to chant the Guruparamapara of our sampradaya daily,
@SreeCharan Oh okay I am looking forward for the initiation from Sri Rangam.
@ChinmayaB 2.Taking the sripada theertham after chanting rahsyatraya. Other food should be consumed after taking this teertham only. 3.Chanting the rahasyatraya daily but the ashtakshari shouldn't be chanted after consuming food and loudly. 3. Taking saatvik food avoiding onions, garlic, non-vegetarian food etc., 4. Avoiding eating stale food and outside food which leads to tamas in our mind. 4. Greeting fellow Sri Vaishnavas by Jai Sreemannarayana 5. Wearing tulasi mala and the Tirunamam.
@TheDestroyer can you help me in understanding the difference?
@ChinmayaB Is it graphics or the otherway?
@ChinmayaB If you don't mind,Which state are you from?
11:08
@SreeCharan
@SreeCharan MP
@SreeCharan I think its a combo
11:21
@ChinmayaB Congrats on achieving a new privilege...
@SreeCharan Thanks
Wow you are scanning my profile like a bot!
btw what do you do for living?
@ChinmayaB Ha Ha...
@ChinmayaB I am still a student.
@Sr
@SreeCharan Student of what? I am a student as well
@ChinmayaB I am studying B.Tech 3rd year Electronics and communication.
@SreeCharan okay great to know that.
11:39
@ChinmayaB Jai Sreemannarayana Talk to you later.
@SreeCharan Jai ShrimanNarayana
11:50
@ChinmayaB - Hii , Jai ShrimanNarayanaЁЯТРЁЯШК seeny you in chat in long time тП│
@TheDestroyer - I think diwali is even not mentioned in any scripture , do you know any which specifically talks about diwali?
@SwiftPushkar
@SwiftPushkar Hi Jai ShrimanNarayana
@ChinmayaB - Is there any theory behind , lord vishnu's facial expressions , i.e.smiling , eyes closed , or even not any expression on face etc.cause we see his different mudras in diff.pictures ЁЯШК
The most accurate meditation of Shriman NAryana is Shantakaram bhujagashayanam........
@SwiftPushkar
Thirupati is the best and most clear view of lord unfortunately only Vaikhansa bramhins have access to close up.
Sri Ranganatha Swamy is another good depiction goo.gl/images/YSN2d0
12:10
@ChinmayaB - haha , yes , that's the correct one ЁЯСНbut other than that ,as he is having grt.responsibility of taking care of the word , but sometimes he is potryed as slightly smiling , just a little .. ok , is there any actual photograph avaliable of Tirupati murti? I was always wondering abt.that ,why the face is not clearly visible ,even in paintaings etcЁЯШКЁЯСНЁЯСН
@SwiftPushkar Two things hide the beauty of The lord of three worlds 1) The large Thiruman (Urdhwapundra) 2) The garlands and overloaded golden ornaments.
@SwiftPushkar This will give you a good peak into the Grabha Griha darshana. youtube.com/watch?v=jhh6RUpbl_Q
@ChinmayaB - ok ЁЯШКЁЯСН
Notice the size of Eyes "PadmaPatra Vishalaksha' and the hands beyond Knees, as depicted in Purusha Suktam.
@ChinmayaB - WOW , seen the murti first time ,so much thanks , and yes , like Ajanubhuja , ЁЯСН and which is this hand mudra ? its specifically prominant in south indian murtirs. but eyes are not much clearly visible due to video quality
@SwiftPushkar The right hand points to the lotus feet of lord Depicting Sharnagati refer BG 18.66
and the left Hand points to the Knees or the Quater length of lord the one part of the purusha which was sacrificed to form the Samsara in the Sarvahuta(The great yagna performed by Prajapati towards Shriman Narayana) to create Srishti.
12:20
@ChinmayaB - oh , ok got the meaning of that mudra now , that is grt.always reminding devotee's to surrender ЁЯСНЁЯСНЁЯСН
@SwiftPushkar Yeah Surrender is the best and painless way to get moksha.
Facial close up of Pundarikasha youtube.com/watch?v=YDNfUBeeDvc
@ChinmayaB - this youtu.be/3HovsnhAqk4 is also clear video
Yeah its clearer than the first one
@SwiftPushkar The complex of lord is so dark in the video that the falling water/fluid makes it clearer. I am reminded of a great story of three alwars who were blessed with Sakshat Darshan of Jagganatha Keshava discusses them in his question hinduism.stackexchange.com/questions/6867/…
@ChinmayaB - Also the south indian Style of singing bhajans is unique and more full of emotions and i like that style or raga ,but unfortunately can't get the meaning , only can identify familiar words etcЁЯШКЁЯСН
@SwiftPushkar Same here I don't understand Tamil . I think the chanting is pavman, purusha suktam and Sri Suktam in most parts which makes it Vashatkar which is style of vedic chanting.
12:32
@ChinmayaB - Actually what is the time period of Alwars ? Here in Maharashtra foundation of vaishnava or varkari sect.is laid out by saint Dnyaneshwar in 12 th century , and ohh , that style is called Vashatkar right , that is grt.info you have given ,thanks i didn't knew thatЁЯШАЁЯСНЁЯСНЁЯСН
@SwiftPushkar No no Vashatkar is the sound of vedic chanting.
@SwiftPushkar Yeah I know about Maharashtrian Vaishnavism. I am a maharashtrian myself.
btw VishnuSahastranaam Starts with Vishnvam Vishnur Vashatkaro bhuta bhavya bhavat prabhu:
notice vashatkar
@ChinmayaB - ohh , nice to know that ЁЯШК yes i know that word from vishnu sahastra nama , btw wht is the style of south indian bhajans or songs ?
@SwiftPushkar I don't think there is any specific style its just their classical music. They use proper classical way of chanting.
@SwiftPushkar They are just following Chandas here youtube.com/…
Jai Sreemannarayana again.
i.e. Anushtup Chandas in this case
@SreeCharan Jai Shriman Naryana
Disscus about honey and honey bees are there isnt it @SreeCharan
12:41
@ChinmayaB - oh ok , also they sing in deep emotional long tone ,which brings much emotion songs.Like how old marathi bhajans were recorded in movies like"Sant Tukaram" prabhat films etc.
@SwiftPushkar Yeah now a days they just record noise in marathi bhajans.
@SreeCharan @ChinmayaB - "But what's more interesting is the year: according to traditional Sri Vaishnava accounts, they were born in the Dwapara Yuga, in the year 4203 BC!
@SwiftPushkar The mudra of right hand in the picture of Venkateshwara means "Surrender to my feet." Left hand "The ocean of samsara will be only upto your waist if you surrender to me". The right hand is called Abhaya hastam and Left is called Kati hastam.
@ChinmayaB Didn't understand.
@SwiftPushkar What are you talking about
Anyway listen to one of my fav marathi bhajans
@SreeCharan - ok , that means one can easily cross samsara with devotion ,am i right abt.mudra?
12:45
@SreeCharan Hari Chintan or Talking about lord is like extracting honey Lord is honey and we are honey bees so I metaphorically compared you to a honey bee. @SwiftPushkar
@SwiftPushkar The mudra of Hayagriva is called Vyakhyana mudra or Vyakhya mudra. It symbolizes the acharya tattva of Lord Hayagriva as he is the source of the knowledge.
@SreeCharan Yeah Vyakhyamudram Karasarasijehe Pustakam Shankha Chakre..!
@ChinmayaB - yes , Madgulkar ,and sudhir fadke brought emotions and liveness in bhajans and in movies ЁЯСН
@ChinmayaB Oh.. It's my pleasure.
@SwiftPushkar Yes, you are right.
@ChinmayaB Exactly. Hayagriva stotram by Vedanta desikan. You are thorough with all the verses..!!!!
@SwiftPushkar Yeah
But I mostly here Pt. Bhimsen joshi and Vasantrao Deshpande
12:48
ok guys ,will say goodbye to you people now , will be back in some time , @ChinmayaB - nice to talk with u , pls.do often visit here , when freeЁЯСНЁЯСНЁЯТРЁЯЗ│ЁЯЗк
@SreeCharan Oh I didn't even consume a drop from the ocean of Shastras but yeah I have gone through major shastras and I have memorized Hayagriva Stotra BG chapter 12 and Chapter 3
chapter 3 is almost done*
also I recite Vishnu Sahastranaam daily.
@SwiftPushkar I would be happy to come back and talk to saintly people like you nice to meet you Pushkar. Bhetu nantar ! :D
@ChinmayaB That's great. I recite Hayagriva stotram daily. Listen to Vishnu Sahasanamam. Shravanam, smarana are the ways I chose among nava vidha bhakthi margas.
@SreeCharan Yeah Even I recite it daily Its great to recite it during prachi sandhya
@ChinmayaB Do you chant the guruparampara, lakshmi ashtottaram also before poorva peethika?
What is nava vidha bhakti marga is it the one described in Shrimad Bhagwatam?
No I recite this LAxminatha Smarambham nathayamuna madhyamama....
and Yo nityam achyutapadambuja vyamohastadatarni trunaya mene asmad guror bhagwato ysaya dayeka sindho ramanujasya charanau sharanam prapadye.
12:53
@ChinmayaB Yes.
and I recite Purusha Suktam with uttar narayana and Sri Suktam
@SreeCharan Since I don't have initiation yet I don't really have a guruparampara
BTW, Are you willing to follow Vadakalai or Tenkalai? @ChinmayaB
@SreeCharan Thenakalai I want to Follow Shri Velukkudi Krishnan Swamy if possible
@ChinmayaB Here is the shlokas which should be recited before starting the main stotra.
@SreeCharan Okay let me take a look at it
@SreeCharan Do you know any rules to follow while wearing Thulasi mala?
13:00
@ChinmayaB Not sure about it.
@SreeCharan Do you wear Lotus Bead mala with it? and do you know what those colorful malas are in the neck of acharyas.
@SreeCharan Oh okay but I think you should inquire about rules before wearing it because a Sri Vaishnava bramhana from Ramanuja Kot matha told me not to wear it all the time and just to wear malas at the time of Worship of chanting.
@ChinmayaB No I don't wear those malas. I stopped because of not knowing the exact rules. I don't know what those malas are for.
@SreeCharan Yeah Some Rudra Sampradaya chap told me to wear it all the times like Yagnopavitam but then I felt guilty because I think its disrespect of Tulasi devi. But I wear them at the time of chanting.
@ChinmayaB Did you hear those shlokas?
@SreeCharan Yeah they are too much and lengthy
13:05
@ChinmayaB They are the taniyans of our acharyas.
I just recite Vishvaksena stotra and then narayanam namaskritya etc then Vyasam vashita naptaram....then Bhagwad Kainkarya sankalpam and then finally the stotram
@SreeCharan Okay I suppose I don't have to follow that Since I don't have Initiation from Swami Chinnajeeyaracharya
@ChinmayaB Why feel guilty? While attending natural calls?
@SreeCharan Yeah because of that and while meeting up in public with all type of crowds which includes unbathed people, people in asucha, women in cycles and god knows what
@ChinmayaB They are common for all the Sri Vaishnavas. They are the taniyans of Manavala Mahamuni, Ramanujacharya, Nammalwar. A poem written by Parasara bhattar praisin our alwars. Then follows Lakshmi ashtottaram.
@SreeCharan Oh my god so Do I have to chant all these?!
Is it necessary ?
13:10
@ChinmayaB Tulasi malas should be put to our right ear just lie Yagnopavitam.
@SreeCharan Yagnopavitam is folded in Left one right?!
@ChinmayaB They are only 5 or 6 poems. Because according to our sampradaya, Acharyas , lalshmi and then Srimannarayana. So that order.
@ChinmayaB What? I didn't understand.
Yeah I know the Acharya parampara for every Sri Vaishnava Starts from Shriman Naryana , Devi Laxmi , Vishvaksenar, Kaari Maran Sadgopan...et
etc
@SreeCharan Yagnopavitam is folded in left year while using washroom.
@ChinmayaB To the right ear.
@ChinmayaB What is the sanskrit name of Kaari Maran?
@SreeCharan Well Everyone here in north is doing it to left year. Even the Nityakarma puja prakash book of Gita press says the same.
Sadhgopan or Nammalwar Swami.
13:19
I remember that is right ear and I follow that.
@SreeCharan Okay there may be a difference.
12
Q: Why do some of the Hindu "Brahmins" wear a sacred thread?

Just codeI've seen my friends who are Brahmin(Hindu sub-caste) wearing a janoi (Gujarati for "sacred thread"). Also, when they go to the washroom, they wear that thread on their ears. Why do they wear that thread?

@ChinmayaB What do you say about the accepted answer to the question?
@SreeCharan Okay I will keep in mind to wind it upon right year
EAr*
Btw the initial stotras were just 5 minutes long can you give me lyrics?
@ChinmayaB Does U.Ve Velakkudi Krishnan swamy initiate people through Samasrayanam ?
@ChinmayaB Sure give me some time.
@SreeCharan I don't know keshav says he doesn't
13:28
Is it OK in english(IAST or ITRANS)? Or in Hindi? @chinmayaB
@SreeCharan I prefer Devanagri fonts, Its really hard to read sanskrit in english.
@SreeCharan I think the answer lacks authentic citation, and I think it should be more generalized for Dwijatis he is just talking about Bramhin that makes people think that only bramhins wear sacred thread.
@ChinmayaB Chant реР рдЕрд╕реНрдорджреНрдЧреБрд░реБрднреНрдпреЛ рдирдордГ after initiation. Chant any lakshmi stotram after acharya stuti.
Meaning also added in english.
Yeah I prefer Sri Suktam @SreeCharan
@ChinmayaB Ok .
@SreeCharan Do you study Sri Bhasya?
and the link says that Kaari Maran Sadhgopan Nammalwar Swamy lived for 32 years I think he just lived for 16 years
13:46
@ChinmayaB I have not studied yetSriBhashya and Vedartha sangraha by Bhagavad Ramanujacharya.
@SreeCharan okay
@ChinmayaB I am not sure about the age of Nammazhwar. I only know He left His body at a young age.
@SreeCharan Okay, and did you know that he didn
didn't have hands and feet
@ChinmayaB What? I didn't know that. He is usually potrayed with limbs.
@SreeCharan Yeah he was born without limbs and didn't talk to any one other than Madhurakavi Alwar.
His father Kaari left him as an infant under his famous tree.
13:51
I know rest of the story but I don't know about not having limbs.
@ChinmayaB May be that's the reason Parasara bhattar considers Nammazhwar as centre and the alwars and Bhagavad Ramanujacharya as limbs.
Did you read alwar charitra?
@SreeCharan Yeah that is the reason I think.
No I didn't
@ChinmayaB Do you any details about Vishwaksena perumal?
@SreeCharan I just know that he is Senapati of Shriman Narayana's army.
and he is remover of obstacles, yasya dwiradvakradyahaa....
@ChinmayaB Okay.
@ChinmayaB Many think Vishwaksena alwar is also elephant headed but he is not.
14:07
@SreeCharan
I think he is white in varna and has elephant vahana
@SreeCharan Okay
What is written above it?

Q: Is the Jallikattu festival connected to Hinduism? If so, what is its significance?

Devendar AgarwalThe famous Jallikattu festival of Tamil Nadu, India was temporarily banned and then reinstated recently. My questions are: Is the Jallikattu festival connected to Hinduism? If so, what is the significance of Jallikattu according to Hinduism? Are there any Hindu rituals associated with this fest...

Krshna participated in some game which is similar to Jallikattu but that doesn't make this question related to Hinduism.
@SreeCharan Why change in icon bro?
@SreeCharan why did you change parent site?
@TheDestroyer Then how about answering it that it is not related to Hinduism?
@Pandya lol.
@TheDestroyer btw, we had voted to close as off-topic, it was closed but reopened on editing.
@TheDestroyer I think you can explain it in answer
@Pandya Yes. Now we can't close either.
