@SwiftPushkar Sources in question is not a good idea. If one has sources, why would one ask a question?
This is not a place for debates. Eben if there are debates, people should take care while speaking about other people beliefs and faiths. There is a polite way of debating philosophies.
@TheDestroyer Well no one made fun of any others beliefs in the past. Just refuted the philosophies.
@TheDestroyer You once quoted nityananda's comment that Shaiva agamas are derived from Vedas portion called shiva samhita. How @KeshavSrinivasan responded. Did he laugh at it? NO. Just disagreeing is enough.
@TheDestroyer Hmm. Now peole are targetting Krishna paramamtma?!!
@ChinmayaB you should see difference between criticizing and attacking personally. i criticized the phiosophy of Vedanta Desikan but didn't attack his character or something else. Please see difference. If i shouldn't even criticize philosophy. i woun't do that in future.
@ChinmayaB My point is for explanation of my comment on philosophy of Vedanta Desikan. Not about you.
@ChinmayaB If someone is not willing to understand and instead engages in uncritical contortionist activity, they are best ignored as much as possible.
@SreeCharan No you are right only, rickross did not insult all the agamas together. If you go back to the point of contention, you can see that he insulted Pancaratra first and then to cover up said he insulted all agamas.
@anuvaramban irrelevant message. I was talking about Krishna and you were talking about me. Great! Keep prejudice on me. I don't waste my time talking to people who have prejudice on me.
@TheDestroyer I'm not saying you are a biased person, i'm saying in that particular conversation with rickross you came off biased. I'm not fool to think anyone is biased always.
@TheDestroyer I appreciate you apologised but because of your support rickross is not realising his folly. that is what i meant.
@anuvaramban I already said that. There are two points. 1) i said laughable protion is not respectful. 2) i gave my opinion on claim of pancharatra Agamas, where i said they might not belong to Vedas, like Rickross but in different words. Now, my 2) may made you to think i was supporting all Rickorss words.
@anuvaramban He has the belief that laughable is not offensive. How can i force him or (any user) to say apology? As a mod, i don't get any such special previlege.
@anuvaramban I personally feel, any apology should be voluntary. I feel personally, saying apology is meaningful only after realizing his mistake.
@TheDestroyer but it doesn't help when you apologise for people who refuse to acknowledge their vitriol.
@TheDestroyer Let us discuss some other thing, clearly you understand and it is also clear rickross is not interested in meaningful debate on such things.
@anuvaramban My intention is reduce animosity, though some words of me unintentionally might have hurt someone. In a flow of speech, sometimes we don't care for words, and but after saying the whole sentence, it may be offensive to others, though true intention is to not hurt someone.
@TheDestroyer నా ఉద్దేశ్యం అది కాదు. నిన్న రాముడి గురించి నెగటివ్ గా కామెంట్ చేసారు. నాకు చాలా బాధగా అనిపించింది. కొందరికి ఎంత చెప్పినా వినిపించుకోరు. My above reply was to first message of yours.
Svetaketu the son of Uddalka Aruni went to the sage Upamanyu and asked him 'In the days of Yore Bhava of immeasurable splendor provided you the power to see present, past and future. I want to know what is happening in this age characterized by the darkness.' To this Upamanyu replied 'Dharma is in the lowest level there in the present time. Mahavishnu should soon take the incarnation of Kalki to preserve the Sanatana Dharma. The world has been engulfed by the Mleccha Dharma.' Svetaketu again
> Swetaketu: Oh sage! How shall this trinity moderate the site and uphold the dharma?
Upamanyu : Dakshina murthy will re-incarnate on earth in the land near Kailasa and creates an account in Hinduism.SE. He will be known by the name Tezz. His display pic will be Dakshina murthy and his answers shall guide people towards enlightment. He will guide this trinity in upholding the dharma. The rudra and Brahma among the diamond trinity shall recognise him by the name Swami Tejananda. Those who recognises him shall earn more reputation on that site.
Swetaketu: Oh Sage! How come Keshava handle hectic work of moderation and at same time propagate Dharma, Leela and Bhakti stories of Sri Hari?
Upamanyu : O Son of Uddalka Aruni, When Sri Mahavishnu was sleeping on his serpent bed, **a single hair of strand** from resplendent Lord fallen unto Aindra Khanda. O Swetaketu, thus the boy out of that hair will be called as "Keshava". O Swetaketu, Keshava will propagate the past times of Lord which inculcate Bhakti. To assist him, a tiny amsa of Ananta, the eternal devotee of Srinivasa, prayed to Lotus feet of Sri Hari, born in Trilinga Desa. …
@RakeshJoshi It is not mummifying. Only mixture of sandalwood and camphor are mixed to give saffron or ochre colour. In mummifying the bodies, blood is removed and many chemicals are added.
@TheDestroyer What offensive. Keshav said he didn't remember the substances. I said. I didn't go there. I seen videos and pictures. Many mistake the body to be an idol of Ramanujacharya. I think no smell is there.
@TheDestroyer Anuvaramban has also been to the temple. Ask him. He will tell.
@TheDestroyer There is an incident when Ramanujacharya defeated 1000 jains in debate. They challenged Ramanujacharya for debate in Tondanur. But the challenge was debate with all the 1000 at a time. Then Ramanujacharya put a condition that there should be a screen separating them. Then the followers of Ramanujacharya held a screen in their hands. Then debate started. All the jains started asking questions at the same time. Then all the people heard the answers at the same.
Ramanujacharya used his 1000 hoods to answer the questions of Jains. After this debate, the Jains changed to Sanatana dhram and Jainism disappeared from Karnataka are called "Mandyam Iyengars." @TheDestroyer

This ^^
All the questions were asked same time and all the answers were given same time.
@Tezz My current thinking is that Man created God to suit his needs. Vedas are such. Prayers to elements of nature. I don't believe that if you do yagna, it will rain, good luck to people who do yagna for rains. May or may not work 50-50 chance!
@ChinmayaB also read further discussion in above chat room... ^^^
@RakeshJoshi Who are you to declare that it's not allowed have you studied all pancharatra agamas? @SreeCharan @TheDestroyer @KeshavSrinivasan @anuvaramban
@anuvaramban let them provide references if bodies are allowed inside temple premises.. so far we havent seen any such temple . so naturally its something to be known
@RakeshJoshi It is okay to ask about shastras followed but it is an incredible claim as per your stack question that the mummy in SriRangam may not be SriRamanujAcharya
In the body of the question you say "it is believed" - it is fact that it is SriRamunujAcharya's mummy that is sanctified there so saying "It is believed" gives false impression that it may not be his sanctified mummy
@RakeshJoshi There is the right way to ask a question concerning things that are not part of your personal faith.
@Sakthi the problem might be that you didn't realize the seat of Bhagwan in your heart he is always with you, he sits and looks at you consuming fruits of karma like a parrot in cage of samsara
@Sakthi Dude even onion garlic is not allowed forget meat. I used to eat meat my varna dharma allows it but i left it 4 years back left onion garlic a year ago
@Sakthi good slowly but steadily remove it from your food, and yeah as tezz said pranayama is good practice if done correctly it can enhance your pranavayu its also used for cleaning body if kumbhaka is done 10 times in sandhyavandanam.. I will leave now
@Tezz they were two great warriors that fought with an entire Kshatriya army and it is said that lord krishna was born as man who was handi capped and he shot an arrow and it took thier helmet or Grida in head and they thought it to be equal to death and sacrificed thier lives.
@Tezz Ponnar was a warrior and Shankar was a warrior those two were brothers and they had a sister and she is worshipped as a sapta goddess( 9 goddess)
@Tezz Do you know dam build by kshtriya king karikala it is made of only sand and our modern civil engineers cannot explain how he was able to build it only with sand
@KeshavSrinivasan Btw, what Vishishtadvaitin consider the true self Jivatma or Paramatma. For example if I ask "What is the true self of you" then you'll refer to Jivatma of Paramatma?
@KeshavSrinivasan ok. As we know that body is not the self but the self if Jivatma then how about applying it similarly that the true self is not Jivatma but Paramatma?
@Tezz Haha.
@KeshavSrinivasan Btw, once you had told about a work og philosopher like "100 problems in Advaita" by I think probably Vedanta Desika. I want to know the name/title of his work so-that I can try to find it.
@Pandya It's called the Satadhushani. As far as I know it's never been translated into English, but S.M. Srinivasachari wrote a book called "Advaita and Visisistadvaita" summarizing the major arguments given in the Satadhushani.
@Pandya By the way, the Satadhushani is partially lost; only 66 of the 100 arguments survive.
@Tezz State elections. 5 states. Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Manipur, Uttarakhand and Punjab.
@Tezz BJP won UP which has population of more than 20 crores and under developed state. It also has rich heritage sites. varanasi, Ayodhya, Mathura, Prayaga and many important cities are located in that state.
@Tezz Only Modi wave. They didn't even declare CM candidate. This time he started campaign in 3rd phase by Visiting Kashi Vishwanath temple and Kala bhairava Temple.
@KeshavSrinivasan ok. We know that earlier man feel/think that I'm body and he thinks I'm suffering from pain but after knowing/realizing that I'm actually Jivatma and not the body. How about applying similar thing for "Earlier man feel/think I'm Jivatma and but after knowing/realizing that the true self is Brahman. So, I might be Brahman?
@Tezz Everyone thought he wouldn't win UP elections. But he won 324 seats out of 403. With this analysis, he can easily win 2019 elections. UP has 90 Mp seats and he won 70 seats last time. looks like UP believes in Modi.
If someone vow to do this when she get this. And after vowing she came to know that after getting fulfil her wish she can't be able to fulfill her vow. @Tezz I think he is Telugu person. he incuded Venkateswara and Prayaschita commonly used for Vow or Mokku.
in Telugu states.
@RakeshJoshi You can reject the edits if they conflict your opinion. But try to frame as respectful as possible as some people may feel them as offensive.
@RakeshJoshi Personally i felt bad but i can't scold someone who is elder and that too who lives no more. They are Pitri Devatas or divine figures, depending on schools of thoughts.
@RakeshJoshi @TheDestroyer I have edited it back to the previous version..Thr's nothing offensive or un-civilised in this version..So,thr's no need to be extra-sensitive OR extra-protective..Moreover that edit altered the Q to an extent..And i don't think doing so is allowed..
@RakeshJoshi I don't know..i don't think agamas discuss all this..but i may be wrong
@RakeshJoshi Yes it looks apparently awkard..but since i don't know much about their traditions and practices i won't comment..But i don't think that Agama shsatras discus all this..
No it is not like that. I know we have heard stories regarding this. But as per Mahabharata, it just happened in due course of time because all of Arjuna's weapons had fulfilled their purpose. So while escorting the yadus through the forest, he could not fight the robbers.He didn't even succeed t...
Dead bodies don't go with temples but of course Ramanuja is considered as an avatara so rules must be different for him..i don't know as i have said earlier..
