3:41 AM
@Tezz Good morning. IN which chapter does Kunti and Krishna meet Karna? Any idea?
Found it.

4:32 AM
@SreeCharan Good Morning...
@SreeCharan Oh ok you already found it... Nice answer ....👍👍👍

5:15 AM
@SreeCharan - GM yes , Very nice answer👌📝 Keep it ⬆🆙 the snake story is new to me 👍
@Tezz - 🙋🌸🌞Shuba Dinam ,शुभ दिनं
@Tezz - do we surely know abt. Lokas = Planets , haven't found any text saying so...

5:56 AM
No review number in my toolbar.

@TheDestroyer do u know about linux ubuntu

@SwiftPushkar @Tezz @SreeCharan @KeshavSrinivasan do you have pending review number?
@RakeshJoshi No.

@TheDestroyer No, I don't.

@KeshavSrinivasan I think bug was fixed.

@KeshavSrinivasan is it possible to get shata dooshini? its difficult task if anyone can make it avaiable in english

6:00 AM
@RakeshJoshi why?

@RakeshJoshi Vedanta Desikan's Satadhushani hasn't been translated into English, but S.M. Srinivasachari wrote a book called "Advaita and Visistadvaita" summarizing the arguments given in the Satadhushani.

in what language ? all the 100 points are mentioned ?

@RakeshJoshi Yeah, S.M. Srinivasachari's book is in English. I don't remember if it mentions all the points, but it at least mentions the major ones. In any case, Vedanta Desikan's Satadhushani is partially lost, so we don't have all 100 arguments against Advaita anyway.

some mutts or jeeyars should be having
where do you live ?
no from 2-3 people i heard that its available but in praudha samskrit ... difficut language.

6:10 AM
@RakeshJoshi No, there are no Mutts having the full text. The rest of the text has been lost for hundreds of years. All available manuscripts have only 66 of the 100 arguments.
@RakeshJoshi I'm born and raised in America.

sad
in india then you can visit S Navalpakam they will train you well in sastra and VA philosophy .

@RakeshJoshi Do you know Sanskrit? You can read the Satadhushani in Sanskrit here: dli.ernet.in/handle/2015/496156

i heard its a tough language.
quote all arguments and lets finish this VA Vs Ad once for all...

@RakeshJoshi I don't know Sanskrit at all.
@RakeshJoshi But I can give you S.M. Srinivasachari's book.

when people find some flaw in advaita then @TheDestroyer @Tezz say that we are not able to understand advaita hence making such ignorant statement.
then when we quote vedas which says world is created then they say its some different level like vyavaharika or paramarthika . which again is not mentioned by any vedas

if at all world was brahmans dream or world would only exist in vyavaharika level . then certainly our vedas which consist of 10s of thousand of verses would talk about it . its such important topic.

6:15 AM
@TheDestroyer No. It is not a bug. It is not sowing coz there are no pending reviews. Swami Vishwananda and Parth Trivedi participated in review after a long time. The number raises again when we VTC the question.

@RakeshJoshi Yeah, I agree, if the world didn't exist that would be a major topic of discussion in the Vedas. By the way, you may be interested in reading the beginning of Ramanujacharya's Sri Bhashya, specifically the Mahasiddhanta section: sacred-texts.com/hin/sbe48/index.htm That is a decisive refutation of Advaita.
@RakeshJoshi Vedanta Desikan actually based his Satadhushani on the Mahasiddhanta section of the Sri Bhashya.
@SreeCharan Can you tell me the relation between Pedda Jeeyar Swami and Chinna Jeeyar Swami?

@KeshavSrinivasan last night i had long debate with them but they kept on saying that sankara has based his world unreal subject on vedic references. and its only that Ramanuja and other scholars have different interpretation.

Taittariya says clearly ... brahman created jagat and entered into it . etc
i heard ahobilam jeeyars are better .

@RakeshJoshi My mom's family follows the Ahobilam Matham Jesyar. And my Dad's family follows the Vanamamalai Matham Jeeyar.

i heard some jeeyar are putting poornahuti in homams which is not allowed for sanyasin .

@RakeshJoshi Sree Charan follows Chinna Jeeyar Swami, which is why I was asking him the question.
@RakeshJoshi Oh, I'm not sure what Jeeyar that is.

6:26 AM
@KeshavSrinivasan Pedda jeeyar swami is the maternal grand father of Chinna jeeyar swami. But Chinna jeeyar swami didn't know that till he was said by others. Pedda jeeyar swami became a sanyasi even before chinna jeeyar swami was born.
@TheDestroyer ^^^ THere are still 2 reviews pending.

@SreeCharan I'm not asking about the specific people occupying those positions, I'm asking the relation between those positions.

@KeshavSrinivasan Contrary to what I said earlier, HH Chinna jeeyar is not from the lineage of ashtadiggajams. HH peda jeeyar swami was the founder of the math.

@SreeCharan I thought you told me that Chinna Jeeyar Swami is from the lineage of the Ashtadiggajas.

@KeshavSrinivasan Probably a Successor. You can see it in Shringeri math also.
@KeshavSrinivasan I too thought the same. But I later learnt that he is not from the ashtadiggajams.

@SreeCharan So you're saying that neither Pedda Jeeyar Swami nor Chinna Jeeyar Swami is from the Ashtadiggajas?

6:29 AM
@KeshavSrinivasan Yes.

@SreeCharan Then which Sri Vaishnava Acharya belongs to the Ashtadiggaja lineage in Tirupati?
@SreeCharan And what is the lineage of Pedda Jeeyar Swami and Chinna Jewyar Swami?

@KeshavSrinivasan i think ahobilam and vanamamalai are good enough to follow
i was told that ahobilam is one of ancient mutts and they follow anushthanam strictly .
and heard that chinna , pedda etc not much into anushthan and upasana\

@RakeshJoshi Yeah, both Vanamamalai Matham and Ahobilam Matham are hundreds of years old. By the way, Vanamamalai Matham is Thenkalai and Ahobilam Matham is Vadakalai, so I'm Thenkalai by birth, but my beliefs lean more to the Vadakalai side.

@KeshavSrinivasan Pedda Jeeyar swami entered Sanyasa ashrama after order from Ramanujacharya in a dream. Pedda Jeeyar swami took sanyasam from a mutt at Sri Rangam(I am not sure which mutt). For a jeeyar to establish a mutt, permission should be taken and there are some tests to pass.

both are good enough
@SreeCharan yesterday i was arguing with these people that dreams are also not false.
lakshmana got the astra to kill indrajeet in his dream., @KeshavSrinivasan we visit different dimensions in dream . sometims unfilfulled desires are seen in dreams .

for a sadhaka dreams hold importance. sometimes guru discusses about dream and their significance and hints related to upasana.

6:36 AM
@Tezz @SwiftPushkar Thank you
@RakeshJoshi Yeah. Gone through that conversation. Dreams give some messages and have some importance.

@SreeCharan But what about the Samashrayana Parampara?

many people have got instrucion for sadhana in dream and also mantra upadesham

@RakeshJoshi By the way, dreams are a subject of disagreement between Advaita and Visistadvaita; see my answer here:
4
A: Are dreams created by Jivatma or Paramatma?

Keshav SrinivasanAdi Shankaracharya says that dreams are created by the Jiva, as described in this section of his Brahma Sutra Bhashya: The statement made above that in the Kâthaka the highest Self is spoken of as the shaper of dreams is untrue; for another scriptural passage ascribes that activity to the ind...

@KeshavSrinivasan Pedda jeeyar swami did samashrayanam to many and HH Chinna jeeyar are following it.

there are no direct quotes in shruti about dream or illusion. this is why they bring in concepts like world is neither true nor false.
advaita dont acknowledge 8 samskaras of sri vaishnavas too....

6:40 AM
@Keshav I think Not every jeeyar are allowed to give Mantra upadesam and Sanka chakras. I think there will be instructions from Sri Rangam.

@Tezz can u tell about guhya kali and its rituals .. and also pasupatinath

@SreeCharan Look at the interview given in page 68 of this book: books.google.com/…

@RakeshJoshi What are the eight samskaras I know only 5 called as pancha samskaras.

sorry its pancha. the mantra is ashtakshari . i got confused

@RakeshJoshi you mean Guheshwari temple.. ?..

6:43 AM
yes

@KeshavSrinivasan That Chinna jeeyar swami are different from my Acharya.

@SreeCharan It says that Pedda Jeeyar Mutt was established by Ramanujacharya in the year 1057 AD and Chinna Jeeyar Mutt was established by Manavala Mamunigal in the year 1503 AD.

@RakeshJoshi I haven't visited Guhyeswari temple yet..

@SreeCharan But are they from the same lineage, and is the same Mutt being spoken of?

must go place... that is the real agama followed in shakta and shaiva temples. that is ancient tradition which you should uphold @Tezz

6:46 AM
Bhagavad Ramanujacharya appointed shishyas to administer the temples revived or saved by Him. I think Lineage started from then. @KeshavSrinivasan

muktinath is an important place for vaishnava as it is one of divya desham . located in nepal @Tezz

@RakeshJoshi I haven't gone to Muktinatha also physically..
@RakeshJoshi The only Devi temple I have been in Kathmandu is Baglamukhi temple...

what about pasupati

@SreeCharan Does your Acharya belong to the Chinna Jeeyar Mutt founded in 1503?
@SreeCharan And if so how could he not be from the Ashtadiggaja lineage?

I have visited Pashupatinath several times... @RakeshJoshi

6:49 AM
nice . try to uphold agamic tradition.

@KeshavSrinivasan They could be because it says Pedda jeeyar of Tirumala supervises some sevas and Chinna jeeyar does it to some sevas.
@KeshavSrinivasan My acharya is not from Tirumala mutt.

How can I hold Agamic tradition by visiting there?...

@SreeCharan I don't understand. Are there two different Sri Vaishnava Acharyas living today who are both called "Chinna Jeeyar"?

@KeshavSrinivasan Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Pedda Sreemannarayan Ramanuja jeeyar swami took monkhood in the presence of thothadri (Vanamalai). THe name for Tirumal pedda jeeyar will be different.
@KeshavSrinivasan See this link for more details chinnajeeyar.guru/chinnajeeyar/about-pedda-jeeyar-swamiji

not just by visiting but following upasana . tradition. understanding , learning . etc

7:00 AM
@KeshavSrinivasan The agamas which you said were not translated into telugu. They are only transliterated.

Ok ... nice... @RakeshJoshi

@RakeshJoshi You didn't understand my sentence yesterday. Still you say you understood Advaita. Brahman has no dream in reality. Brahman is pure, blissfull everexisting consciousness. He can't have dreams.
@SreeCharan we tried to figure it out. But we couldn't.

@Tezz What happened to bounty offered by sv,?

@SreeCharan OK, the reason I'm asking all of this is that the user Yogi is planning to do Samashrayanam with someone called "Tirumala Peria Jeeyar". That would be someone different from the Pedda Jeeyar Swami associated with your Chinna Jeeyar Swami, right?

Pedda means Peria in Tamil.

7:07 AM
@KeshavSrinivasan Does Tirumal Periya jeeyar initiate people? I don't know about it.

@SreeCharan Yeah, Yogi got the contact info of someone who is about to be initiated by Tirumala Periya Jeeyar.
@SreeCharan So now Yogi is also planning to be initiated by Tirumala Periya Jeeyar.

@KeshavSrinivasan That's great. So when will you convince your parents for initiation?

@SreeCharan it is written grace period... I don't know what that means...

@KeshavSrinivasan initiation into what? Didn't you perform your Upanayana?

@SreeCharan Haha, I don't know about that.
@TheDestroyer Yes, I did Upanayana, but we're talking about initiation into Pancharatra.

7:13 AM
@Tezz But there is only 1 featured question being displayed right now. That is from shakti.

@KeshavSrinivasan ohh ok.

@SreeCharan yes...

@Tezz Where did you see grace period?

@KeshavSrinivasan Will you come to India for that?

@Tezz Grace period means extra time given after the bounty duration of 1 week. It will be 12 hours usually.

7:17 AM
This question had a bounty worth +50 reputation from sv. that ended 2 hours ago. Grace period ends in 21 hours

Q: What is the significance of pouring milk on the Shivling?

hims056I have seen people pouring milk on the Shivling. What is the significance of this? Image taken from shivmandirsarthali.com

@SreeCharan I saw same what Destroyer saw..

okay it is 23 hours.
But it is not showing in featured tab. @TheDestroyer @Tezz

@SreeCharan ^^

@TheDestroyer Yes, definitely. Sri Vaishnava Acharyas sometimes come to America, but they don't initiate people here.

@SreeCharan yes..

7:22 AM
@KeshavSrinivasan Ok. Is there any age restriction for initaition?

But the significance is not explained in the answer. I read somewhere that abhishekam with milk >> water. milk>> honey. honey>>ghee. Can't find it now.

@SreeCharan we can't find Agamas online. That's biggest problem.

@SreeCharan Linga purana in all chapters related to Linga worship doesn't mention Linga Abhisekam by milk at all even a single time...
@SreeCharan same case in most chapters of Shiva Purana... I'm checking still other chapters of Shiva Purana...

@Tezz You can link Sri Rudram 1st Anuvaka with Abhisheka, where Rudra is prayed to cool down. See commentary on Kamakoti site they say Rudra must be pleased or cooled which are nothing but our own bad sins. Simialrly, Shiva Linga must be kept cool which means we are annihilating by our bad karma by keeping it cool.
@Tezz let me check Shiva and Linga Purana. I will mail you text searchable formats. But format is not proper.

yesterday, by Sree Charan
@TheDestroyer ^^ Himalayan academy. There are many shaiva agamas

7:29 AM
@TheDestroyer in the Sri Rudram there is a phrase "Prathamo Daivyo Bhisak" it has two meanings meaning who is "Divine doctor" and another meaning is "Prathamo Daivyo Abhisek" who is given Abhisekam by the Gods...

@Tezz But doctor interpetation is considered generally.

@TheDestroyer yes... Doctor intrepretation... Vaidhyanatha...

@SreeCharan what is the authentic source for biography of Annamayya?

i will try to search about pouring milk

But @Tezz how is भिषक् and भिषेक् same?

7:33 AM
@TheDestroyer Ok... search for "milk" in Shiva Purana... maybe we can find..

@SreeCharan Do they say, Annamayya is Nandaka?

@SreeCharan I don't know... I read it in a commentary... maybe it's because they have same Dhatu...

@TheDestroyer Don't know about it. There should be some shasanas. But many say he is nandaka.

@SreeCharan Movie shows Lord Vishnu sends his sword Nandaka to listen songs in Telugu Language as many keertans are available in Tamil, Kannada and Sanskrit but none are available in Telugu even though venkateswara stays in Telugu state. I find this as ilogical. Why would Vishnu care about language?

7:48 AM
I found a reference which is called Rudrabhisheka mahatmayam
i think tezz has already provided reference

@RakeshJoshi Oh nice.. where is it... ?..

8:36 AM
@TheDestroyer Yes. It is illogical.
@SwiftPushkar 👌👌👌 👍👍👍
@SwiftPushkar You said that you will add the puranic description of Sun's chariot. Are you going to do that?

@SreeCharan - Yes ,😊

@SwiftPushkar Kannayya Pushkar!

@SwiftPushkar Separate answer or modifying the existing answer?

8:51 AM
@SreeCharan I will add the other Refrences in @Pandya answer itself , since SB description of sun's Chariot is more detail , i will just improve existing answer 😊👍

@SwiftPushkar do u know abt ubuntu .. linux

@RakeshJoshi @Pandya knows it.

he is not online since a while

@RakeshJoshi why for installing?

yes i m going to try it .. but heard that some software do not support linux

9:06 AM
@RakeshJoshi No I dont know much

@SwiftPushkar wow!!!! Krishna ^^

@Krishn I was waiting for your reaction.
@Krishn Did you read that book ON the way to Krishna?
@RakeshJoshi Yes. Some dreams give specific messages. Some deliver mantropadesam from a guru.

yes but advaitins dont believe. now we should also start defending all statements by talking about various sattas like pratibhasika or vyavaharika @SreeCharan :)

@SreeCharan No.... first I'll complete BG.

9:17 AM
@KrishnShweta Yes , i like the expressions on his face :) a naughty Bal-Krishna

@RakeshJoshi I am saying so because Lord Rama said me to do Sundara Kanda Parayana in a dream. That is the dream which I can't forget all my life.

they say its all false :)

@SreeCharan - oh , grt. experience , you got :)

There were series of dreams which shown sundara kanda and indicated to dream. But after some days. HE appeared and said "How many times should I tell you? Can't you understand when said once? take this and read." He also said "माता रामो मत्पिता रामचंन्द्र: ।
स्वामी रामो मत्सखा रामचंद्र: || That's why I added it in my profile info.
@SwiftPushkar But he was in a human form like us. I just know that it was him. :)
Not with bows and arrows.
@RakeshJoshi Not all the dreams are true, not all are false.

@SreeCharan yes he can communicate with us in any form(human ,non-human) ,even he even can give us directions through voice , or he will through his voice can show his presence. No matter which language we speak :)
@Tezz @KeshavSrinivasan - Are Viśvedevas and sun god (from Rig-veda) same deties or different -sacred-texts.com/hin/rigveda/rv01164.htm

9:36 AM
@SwiftPushkar The Vishvadevas are a set of multiple gods, they're different from Surya.
@TheDestroyer No, there are no age restrictions for initiation into Pancharatra. And unlike Upanayana, there are no caste or gender restrictions for initiation into Pancharatra.

@SreeCharan wow nice experience!...

oh ok , thanks i was wondering abt. this description which is similar to chariot of the sun " 2 Seven to the one-wheeled chariot yoke the Courser; bearing seven names the single Courser draws it.
Three-naved the wheel is, sound and undecaying, whereon are resting all these worlds of being.
3 The seven who on the seven-wheeled car are mounted have horses, seven in tale, who draw them onward.
Seven Sisters utter songs of praise together, in whom the names of the seven Cows are treasured.

@SreeCharan btw you may be already aware that RamaRaksha Stotram (containing Mãta Rãmo Matpita...) was also received by Budhakaushika from Lord Shiva in his dream...

@Tezz- one interesting question abt Shiva-Raksah
4
Q: Ram Raksha or Shiva Raksha : Which one was written first?

AADHinduismRam Raksha Stotra (श्रीरामरक्षास्तोत्रम्) is a Sanskrit stotra, hymn of praise, used as a prayer for protection to Lord Rama. This stotra is Written by Budha Kaushika Rishi. As I discuss in this Question, there is not a lot of information about Budha Kaushika Rishi like his date of birth and wh...

@Tezz Yes.

9:48 AM
@SwiftPushkar yes, I have read that question.... but I haven't read Shiva Raksha Stotra yet... btw Rama Raksha Stotram is one my favourite stotram...

@Tezz Yes , mine too , I used to recite Ram-Raksha in every evening until in school :)

I like this verse very much: "Vedãnta Vedyo Yajnesha purãnau Purushottama... Jãnaki Vallabha Srimãn Aprameya Parãkrama... "

@Tezz - I somewht remember somebody has given one answer abt.Shiva Raksha

Namaskaram to all!

I only know that in the beginning of Shiva Raksha stotram there is "Sri SadaShiva prityartham"...

9:54 AM
@Pandya नमस्कार , कैसे हो ?

@SwiftPushkar Fine

@Pandya Namaskaram 🙏🙏🙏

@Tezz @KeshavSrinivasan I'm thinking to ask a question like "When the term/word 'Vedanta' used first in which scripture?" How about it?

@Pandya it is used in Upanishads and Aranyakas...

@Tezz oh! yes, right, just found in Mundaka 3.2.6...

10:02 AM
@Pandya also in Svetasvatara "Vedante Paramam Guhye Pura Kalpe Prachodite"..

@Tezz hmm ,Fast Finder :)

@SwiftPushkar actually I already knew it as I use it in my answer here:
4
A: Is the Sankhya Darshan/Philosophy prior to Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads?

TezzShwetashwatara Upanishad in 6.22 states: वेदान्ते परमं गुह्यं पुराकल्पे प्रचोदितम् । नाप्रशान्ताय दातव्यं नापुत्रायाशिष्याय वा पुनः ।। The profound mystery in the Vedanta was taught in the previous cycle. It should not be given to one whose passions have not been subdued, nor to one who ...

@Tezz - ok :)

@Tezz I don't how How did I miss your answer! I might have missed notification to my question.
Btw, there is also one interesting verse in Shvetashvatar Upanishad :
Oct 23 '16 at 5:35, by Pandya
> तद् वेदगुह्योपनिषत्सु गूढं तद् ब्रह्मा वेदते ब्रह्मयोनिम् । ये पूर्वं देवा ऋषयश्च तद् विदुस्ते तन्मया अमृता वै बभूवुः ||

10:20 AM
where is @ChinmayaB now a days? , both users named chinmay mysteriously appear and disappear from time to time @ChinmaySarupria :)

@KeshavSrinivasan ok. Yes, Found from Brahma Sutra and quoting from Mundaka 3.1.9, ShvetaShvatar 5.9.

@SreeCharan - Also there is a famous saying similar -> "सर्वदेव नमस्कारं केशवं प्रतिगच्छ्यति :)

10:37 AM
@KeshavSrinivasan but in pancharatra some acharyas dont allow women and shudras to chant pranava in the main mantra i heard

10:49 AM
@RakeshJoshi AFAIK Vadakalais don't say it. But all the caste barriers are removed when one becomes Sri Vaishnava.

but there is some text which says shudra and pranava should chant Am instead of om

@SreeCharan - who is Head Acharya of Sri Vaishnava pantha ? currently

@SwiftPushkar Pantha means?

@SwiftPushkar there are few mutts and few acharyas
like there are 3-4 in sankaras

@SreeCharan पंथ tradition

10:52 AM
@SwiftPushkar Thanks for the suggestion.
@SwiftPushkar There are different maths. Every math has different heads.

@RakeshJoshi ok , but is there any head personality , say for giving orders , or deciding what is right or wrong (not exactly like pope though) but the one whose words are considered as final...

yes there are people to officiaially initiate you in the sect .. they givt mantra deeksha
they do samskara by heating a metal and touching to some parts of body which is not accepted by sankara vedantins though
this system is somewhat similar to Madhwa ... but in sri vaishnava this is done only once

@SreeCharan oh ok , so are the views and traditions all the same?

@SwiftPushkar Is that the ID for Keshav?

@RakeshJoshi - yes heard abt.that "Tapta Mudrika" तप्त मुद्रिका

10:57 AM
cool .. i think in madhwas they do it every year...

@SreeCharan which one?

@SwiftPushkar The number you removed twice.

@SwiftPushkar New Avatar!

@RakeshJoshi oh , ok , i dont know much bt.this , BTW i recently visited Udupi Shree Krishna Matha

excellent .. how is the food there ? :)
its famous in whole south india

10:59 AM
@Pandya yes , changed , I am going to put all the gods in My DP ... further ...

@RakeshJoshi for Madhwas it is 8 isn't it?
8 samskaras as you said before.

@SreeCharan not sure i think it would be almost same. in their site you can find info. it was a slip of tongue from me.

@SwiftPushkar and I've already put! :P Haha

@RakeshJoshi I liked that "Rice Saram and Cucumber Sabji" it was tasty , I very much liked the premises :)

Sri Vaishnava tradition started first. Later Madhwas followed it.
@RakeshJoshi OK
@SwiftPushkar Rasam or saram?

11:02 AM
@Pandya how is your experience with ubuntu

@SreeCharan @RakeshJoshi - but unfortunately havent seen "Akshay patra" , is that on display there ?

@SreeCharan oh , i dont now which one was that :) we generally , do not prepare that , so cnat say :)

@RakeshJoshi Are you going to install GNU/Linux?

@SwiftPushkar NP.Rasam is right. It's so tasty.

11:04 AM
yes i m tired of cravked windows ... thinking of ubuntu. now i m also hearing about linux mint

@RakeshJoshi You can talk on this topic at Unix & Linux Chat-room or at Ask Ubuntu chat-room chat-room (for Ubuntu specific). Welcome!

i have utubtu iso file ... can i directly install from this by mounting in virtual cd drive
ok i will ask there

@RakeshJoshi I think win 8 enterprise is good and stable , you can use that also as different flavor with linux -BTW , i dont know much bt.linux , still i am grt.fan of it :) and planning to install that ...

i m having core 2 duo so i think higher windows wont be supported

11:14 AM
@Pandya yes , surely :)
@RakeshJoshi -is surya Namaskara is Tantric Tradition or Yogic Tradition?

yogic .
but surya upasana has traces in vedas

@RakeshJoshi oh ok , The Rig Veda mentions the image of Surya where he is said to sit on a lotus in his chariot of seven golden horses. The chariot is sometimes depicted with only one horse with seven heads surrounded by rays. Aruna, the deity of dawn is his charioteer who is the elder brother of Garuda,

yes 7 is significant number
some days back was ratha saptami

11:23 AM
@RakeshJoshi - i think seven horses represent Seven days of the week.

,many esoteric meanings
7 chakras .
7 colors
etc
sun gazing also has wonderful effects i heard

@RakeshJoshi - ok , but one must be careful in sun gazing , we should wear black glasses

no
30 mins after sunrise and 30 mins before sunset are safe hours
there are detailed video on youtube

@RakeshJoshi yeah in tht case its ok , agree :) and its a very beautiful sean also , the sun looks marvellous at those times :)

there time ultraviolet raditions r not there
that is why vedic gods should also be given importance...

11:31 AM
And honey should be placed in eyes at night by those who do sun gazing... (I heard)..

@RakeshJoshi haha yes , Also there is ample description and mentioning of sun god in puranas, so he is found in all the hinduism literature deity

but many vedic gods are shown low to puranic deities
like krishna opposing indra etc
which i discussed yesterday

@RakeshJoshi No , its your assumption , beside of indra , no one is shown inferior :)

everyoone is shown worshiping puranic deities
every other demon attack swarga and vedic gods run to vishnu .
they tothere .. start praying .

@RakeshJoshi this is symbolic story only , not to take literally :)

11:36 AM
now for understanding puranas also we need another texts then what use ? puranas were meant to be written so that vedas could be understood easily .
now puranas also talk symobilc then what use

@RakeshJoshi No they went to Brahma , Devi , Shiva , vishnu also , see Mhishasura Madrdini story, its because Vishnu mainly has to maintain the universe , so obisiousely they ran to him , is it not simple?

no its not simple
vedic indra i thini is as good as narayana
he is not a cowards who runs every now and then

@RakeshJoshi Many Vedic gods with changing of names appear in puranas , most puranic stories are taken from vedas. So Everything in Hinduism is based on Vedas , gods , deties , stories etc.etc.

then again some acharyas cleverly interpolated puranas and stopped brahma worship with a conspiracy story

@RakeshJoshi the story present in Puranas is of Indra named Purandara.. while Vedas describe blueprint of all Indras (which were and which shall be)...

11:39 AM
then puranas should uphold the views ... nt contradict vedas

read the rig vedic hymms on agni and indra ... then compare it with shaiva and vaishnava puranas...
none of the indra can we weak as portrayed in puranas.
after all trimurties also have a fixed life span.

@RakeshJoshi But wht difference does that make , people are free to worship whichever god they believe in , we cant force , So whoever wants to pray or worship Brahma can do that.

difference is that the character of vedic gods shown in some puranic stories is opposite to vedas.

@RakeshJoshi Where it is written that they have limited Life span ? I havent read so ...

at the great dissolution everything will be withdrawn . no deities nothing .
if you see rigveda there are more than 100-200 hymms forindra and agni . the very first hymm begins wuith agni suktam . so you can understand the importance ,

@RakeshJoshi The trimurties will going to remain in there original abstract form after dissolution, if not so how creation again will going to start ?

11:45 AM
parabrahman is source of all
does advaita accept trimurti ? it says they dont remain in absolute level

@RakeshJoshi Lord Shiva , Lord Vishnu both are said to be parabrahman

how can be 2 parabrahmans ?
they will manifest again during next creation cycle. till then only silencve. no moivement no speed nothing

@RakeshJoshi I am saying this from respective philosophies of the sects . So its what Shaiva , Vaishnava and Shakta do believe in ..So for each sectparabrahma name is diff. but

@RakeshJoshi They are not two... they are same...

if there is one then there cant be word like THEY
only HE OR IT

11:49 AM
@RakeshJoshi - Actual parabrahman is one and one only..

talk of PARAMARTHIKA LEVEL
i m also talking of actual parabrahman only

@RakeshJoshi Shiva is Agni and Vishnu is Soma... and they pervade the entire universe thus...

@RakeshJoshi Actual parabrahman is one and one only.. PARAMARTHIKA LEVEL

yes at that level there no siva or vishnu or brahmaa

11:50 AM
@RakeshJoshi - ekam evadvitiyam brahma

rudramagnimayaM vidyAdviShNuH somAtmakaH smR^itaH |
agnIShomAtmakaM chaiva jagatsthAvaraja~Ngamam ||2-125-35
Remember that rudra (shiva) has the soul of fire and viShNu has the soul of soma (nectar, moon). All the world including the fixed and movable beings have the combined souls of fire and soma (shiva and viShNu).

then from parabrahman all deities and jagat manifests

In the Paramarthika level Ishwara doesn't exist... (as per Adi Shankara)...

thats what i m saying .
@SwiftPushkar ishwara is your dream nothing else
all trimurties comes under vyavaharika , pratibhasika level . hence are dream . not real .

@RakeshJoshi haha it is not necessary that Pushkara believes in that...

11:54 AM
let him say :)

@RakeshJoshi I do believe mainly in advaita , but dont know abt. this all trimurties comes under vyavaharika , pratibhasika level . hence are dream

now only he said ishwara is dream .. u can verify in advaita texts about trimurtis , ishwara , demi gods etc.

edanta panchadashi says jIveshvarau kalpitau hi

Panchadasi says "Entering in the higher bodies like Vishnu he becomes Lord.. Entering in lower bodies like Jeeva he (Brahman) becomes worshipper.:"

both higher and lower bodies are false
only which enters body is truth

@RakeshJoshi No use in mocking Advaita or Advaitins. words "real" and "dream" should be understood properly. You WILL know the world is not real only after realization, till then world is real for you.

11:59 AM
then are you realized ?

I'm notrealized.
