@SteveRobillard Btw, are there any modifications to the site you'd like to make it easier for you to use it (re:arthritis)? I can write a userscript that makes certain elements larger, certain actions easier to do, etc (For example, its fairly easy for me to make message replies in chat happen on double-clicking the message anywhere)

@Manishearth That's cool.
@Manishearth We haven't had any moderators around here for a while. Have we been forgotten...?
Or perhaps they're seeing how we do alone.

@Jivings If you need me to ping a comm team member, I can do it for you. There usually is one hanging around TL.
@Jivings You guys have enough high rep users (and seem to be well behaved), so they don't need to pay attention
Regardless, I bet Aarthi or Shog is checking out the flags every now and then
^^Secret mod room
Well, not secret--but private
There are lots of mods online in TL at any moment, and around two comm team members
Haha okay.
(there are total 5 members of the comm team)
I think we're alright :)
10:56
:)
If I'm online then, just ping me and I ought to get comm team members for you
Or just ping one directly by commenting on their posts, but they don't necessarily listen (they may not be online at the time)
ok thanks
Flagged posts are being deleted I think
Anyone know how to bg ssh?
@Jivings?
Nvm

@AlexChamberlain What's up?
Thought you might be able to help, but I found the answer, thanks

Interesting question from SU:

Q: 3G Dongle only connects for a few seconds

Terence EdenHow can I see what's causing my 3G dongle to disconnect from the Internet? I'm using a Huawei K3565 USB 3G dongle on my Raspberry Pi. Using wvdial and sakis3g I can connect to my current provider (GiffGaff) - but only for a few seconds. For example, I can ping 3 - 4 times, or download approx 2...

@finnw Got to be power related I'd say.
@Jivings The OP seems to be convinced that it isn't
Not sure why, he's using less than the recommended voltage as well.
What
Someone flagged that as offensive in here?
12:36
Seems like it
lol
It's not even blasphemy.
Maybe it is if you're a satanist :-)
Haha
Can anyone check that these logs have the same names on debian?

A: Running Headless - checking Boot screen messages

JivingsYes, there are logs for everything. If you connect a new device to the Pi then the module being loaded will show in dmesg. Eg; $ dmesg | tail [16037.102139] Initializing USB Mass Storage driver... [16037.102299] scsi4 : usb-storage 2-2:1.0 [16037.102422] usbcore: registered new interface drive...

@Manishearth @Manishearth let me think about it I hadn;t actually given it much thought but havent spent that much time on the site in the past.
@steve kk.. If you ever have any issues with a feature, or just want something to be easier to do, ask me! Such scripts can be written in a matter of minutes :)
The flag probably was someone testing out the flag interface. Or someone who was genuinely offended. It wasn't me :p Actually, it can't be me, since my flags automatically delete the message (learned that a few weeks back when I was testing the flag interface. Whoopsies :p)
12:51
Doy, that's what the sandbox is for :)
13:54
Hey.
14:51
Hey.
How's it going in this room of ours?
15:19
Pretty active... Except aroung this time :p
OT: I am never going to try and use Gnome 3 again
You know, there's nothing wrong with OT discussion in this room. As long as it's not all OT :p
15:41
@AlexChamberlain Why?
We had a disagreement over multiple screens
Haha.
I have no problem with it, laptops ftw. =P
one of which is rotated...
Don't know what that was about...

@AlexChamberlain kernel != firmware
@Jivings I agree. x /= y.
