I'm taking an undergraduate course on Linear Programming and we were asked to solve the following problem using the Simplex Method:$$\max:~Z=3x+2y\\\text{subject to}\begin{cases}x+y\le20\\0\le x\le15\\x+3y\le45\\-3x+5y\le60\\y\text{ unrestricted in sign}\end{cases}$$The standard form of the LPP i...

In mathematical optimization, Dantzig's simplex algorithm (or simplex method) is a popular algorithm for linear programming. The name of the algorithm is derived from the concept of a simplex and was suggested by T. S. Motzkin. Simplices are not actually used in the method, but one interpretation of it is that it operates on simplicial cones, and these become proper simplices with an additional constraint. The simplicial cones in question are the corners (i.e., the neighborhoods of the vertices) of a geometric object called a polytope. The shape of this polytope is defined by the constraints applied...

Let $K$ be a number field and $I^{S(\frak m)}$ the group generated by the prime ideals of $K$ which don't divide the modulus $\frak m$. Let $K_{\frak m, 1}$ be the set of $a \in K^\times$ such that $\rm{ord}_p(\textit{a} -1) \geq ord_p(\frak m)$ for all finite primes $p$ dividing $\frak m$ and \$a_p

Also is listed among new tags. But I see no questions - so either the question has been deleted or the tag has been removed.

BTW I asked about in this room before:

Should we created tag? Currently many questions related to simplex method are tagged . There are 134 questions tagged simplex+linear-programming.

Hmm... the tag-excerpt for global-fields was created. At the same time, the OP has deleted the question - which would lead to removing the tag unless the OP undeletes it again or the tag is used on another question.
I have asked in the Math Mods' Office about the tag . This tag has now 69 questions.

Following an earlier discussion I approved a synonym elementary-probability to probability. Likely down the road a merge will happen. The main reasons are: we do not separate tags by level, and in this case there even is probability-theory that is an "advanced" tag so that further separation...
