Q: Given $\int_{-\infty}^\infty f(x)dx=0,$ Prove/Disprove claims

Itay4 Prove/Disprove: $(a)$ If $\int_{-\infty}^\infty f(x)dx=0,$ then there exists $x_0$ such that $\int_{x_0-x}^{x_0+x}f(t)dt=0$ for large enough $x$. $(b)$ If $\int_{-\infty}^\infty f(x)dx=0,$ then there exists $x_0$ such that $\int_{x_0}^{\infty}f(t)dt=-\int_{-\infty}^{x_0}f(t)dt .$ ...

It is definitely a meta tag, I have removed it. If it gets created again, I'll bring this up on meta.

@wythagoras I have suggested removal on meta. Voting on that post is currently at -1 (no upvotes, one downvote).

A: Tag management 2017

Martin SleziakThe tag elementary-probability has been created recently. The tag-info is currently empty. Do we want/need this tag? I'd say that past discussions on meta indicate that tags are not based on level/difficulty of the question, but on the content. For example: Should we require a tag that which spe...

I found a few discussions about tags that might benefit from the increased character length:

A: Tag management 2015

Martin SleziakThere exist divisors tag, which was created for the question about divisors in algebraic geometry. At least this seems to be the case based on the tag-wiki and tag-excerpt. Current revision looks like this: For questions involving divisors, invertible sheaves and/or line bundles on varieties ...

Q: Tag rename request: (synthetic-differential) to (synth-differential-geometry)

Zhen LinAt the moment there is the oddly named synthetic-differential tag, which is being used for questions about synthetic differential geometry. I propose that this tag be renamed to synthetic-diff-geometry, perhaps with synonyms synth-differential-geom, sdg, and maybe synthetic-differential. (Apparen...

@wythagoras The recent Daniel Fischer's post might be a reasonable place where to post request for making name of a tag longer: Expanding abbreviated tag names.
tag has been problematic for some time and there is a post about it in Tag management 2016.
There are several suggestions how the name could be changed, including this one.

@MartinSleziak Yes. I'm now writing an answer.

@MartinSleziak Considering the audience for elementary number theory is much larger than for algebraic geometry, would it be a good plan to create a new tag (divisors-algebr-geometry) or some such, retag the AG questions with (divisors) and then make plain (divisors) a synonym of (divisibility)? — Daniel Fischer ♦ Aug 15 '16 at 18:30
If we simply want to changed divisors to a longer name, we'll have to clean up the tag first - remove the posts from elementary number theory.

I also found several short tags that could be expanded now, but I'm not sure how common the abbreviation in the tag name is, so I don't know whether that is a good idea to expand. For example, in the case of , I don't think would be needed.

Still, perhaps synonym will do not much harm if it is added. Maybe with old established tag (where the abbreviation is generally known) as the master tag.

Would it be a good idea to add every tag in a seperate answer? Then they can be discussed seperately (but the consequence is that I'll post 10 anwers)

I'd think that if some tags are not problematic - i.e., if its clear how they should be expanded - then they could go into one CW answer.
Maybe if you plan to post about there, that might deserve a separate answer.
Or some other tags which are likely to start some discussion.
You can even explicitly mention that it is a CW answer and if it turns out that some expansions need more discussion, the discussion can be moved into a separate post.

wythagorasI also went trough the list of extremely short tags (using this query). svd can be expanded into singular-value-decomposition lft can be expanded into linear-fractional-transformation sos can be expanded into sum-of-squares-method rbf can be expanded into radial-basis-functions pde can be expa...

A: Expanding abbreviated tag names

wythagorasThe divisors is for divisors in algebraic geometry. There have been discussions about this in the Tag management threads earlier: Tag management 2015 and Tag management 2016 Among the options is expanding the tag name to divisors-algebraic-geometry.

wythagorasIt has been suggested that synthetic-differential is expanded to synthetic-differential-geometry: Tag rename request: (synthetic-differential) to (synth-differential-geometry)

wythagorasThe probability-limit-theorem can be expanded to probability-limit-theorems. See this answer: Tag cleanup 2014
