@tony Ts ts, English speakers getting tripped up by the impersonal passive again :-) But note that uti is not an infinitive, but a conjunction ("so as to" or something). That should streamline the awful literal translation somewhat.
For the uninitiated, tony's sentence fragment is immediately preceded by tempore et loco constituto.
