I tried
risae
for my first word, but it says the word does not exist!

Joonas Ilmavirta
15:24
@Cerberus It's oddly opinionated.
Cerberus
16:14
@JoonasIlmavirta Yeah.
Although I can't find any instance of
risa
in the HP corpus.

This word isn't in L&S, nor on Latindictionary.io, the source of Latin Worldle.
What gives?
Adam
Well that's no good.
Cerberus
No, indeed.
Adam
23:39
I guess that suggests it's not pulling exclusively from a dictionary, or it uses that as a base and will generate additional word forms regardless of attestation.
cmw
@Cerberus I mentioned before that
raise
works as an answer.
Cerberus
@Adam That would be extremely weird!
Or perhaps it has added some weird sources to its corpus?
@cmw That is very weird!
A bug maybe?
cmw
@Cerberus My guess is that there's a bad source somewhere.
Cerberus
Yeah.
But today's word isn't English either.
It is Latin-sounding, but it just doesn't exist.
It isn't some mistaken formation either: its stem does not exist either.
cmw
Still on the old word here, but I'm eager to check it out now.
Is it Medieval Latin?
Or Neo-Latin?
Or maybe a typo? Does it resemble another word?
Cerberus
23:46
A typo would be possible.
cmw
(Just asking in advance - I'll wait until after midnight to see the answer.)
Cerberus
The uninflexed form could be a Latinised Italian name.
So maybe it is a post-classical word, no idea.
Ramminger doesn't have it:
ramminger.userweb.mwn.de/words/start.htm
Adam
Wild
Cerberus
Quite!
Adam
it doesn't use a dictionary, and instead has an internal
word list
Plenty of room for all kinds of errors
Cerberus
23:58
Ahh good find.
How does it make this list?
Even in the first couple of words, I see
aedil
.
That is not a word.
