@AshleyNunn To build upon what fbuerkert said, you have to switch back and forth for plot reasons.

I generally just keep going until I can't go any further or there's a sidequest I can do without losing progress.

Although figuring out what you need to do for a sidequest is sometimes a challenge in and of itself.

However when I go into the battle to see these beasts in action the game lags and then closes out completely. Is there a way to see the elephants in battle without losing ...

What increases the chances of having sons in Rome Total War? I need them for heavy generals ( I have 76 daughters and 3 living sons). Is there a "Special" trait that would allow me to have more sons and to continue my family chain?
